Chapter 2 Humiliation

Sure enough, inside the room on the bed lay Rosy, naked.

Her perfect figure could be seen clearly from the door.

"You... You!"

Brian's breath suddenly became ragged. He was too angry to say another word. At the same time, a piercing pain stabbed at his heart.

Rosy was also startled to see Brian here. Eyes wide with panic, she asked, "Brian? What're you doing here?"

Brian's nostrils flared angrily. "Rosy Stevens! I should be asking you that question! Didn't you say that you went to accompany your mother?"

A few months ago, Rosy had wept on Brian's shoulder, telling him that her mother was seriously ill in the hospital.

She needed about a hundred thousand dollars to cover the medical costs.

Since then, Brian had been living frugally and working part-time jobs until midnight every day, doing his best to raise money.

But what did he get in return? Rosy's betrayal. Brian couldn't accept it.

Rosy soon calmed down. Instead of feeling shame or guilt, she looked at Brian with disdain.

"Don't you dare involve my mom! Well, now that you're here, we might as well get straight to the point. Let's break up."

Just then, Jonathan Sanders, the man who opened the door, pounced on the bed and slapped Rosy on her buttocks playfully.

"Honey, don't give the poor guy a hard time. If he wasn't such a useless idiot, I wouldn't have become your first. You were together for how long? Three years? Ha-ha! I should be thanking him for taking such good care of you."

As he spoke, Jonathan looked at Brian with unmasked disgust, holding Rosy in his arms protectively.

"You son of a bitch, I'll kill you!"

Brian couldn't stand it anymore. He clenched his fists and rushed toward the two with blind rage.

However, Jonathan was expecting this. He simply raised his leg and kicked Brian on the chest, sending him flying.

Jonathan was much stronger than Brian, not to mention the fact that Brian was suffering from long-term malnutrition. How could he stand a chance?

Looking at Brian, who was writhing on the floor, Jonathan sneered angrily and shouted, "What a bummer!"

Rosy rested her head on Jonathan's shoulder and said in a soft voice, "Calm down, honey. Just ask security to take him away. I want you in bed with me!"

Jonathan snorted but found that what she said was reasonable, so he called the receptionist.

Before long, several strong security guards filed inside the room and threw Brian out of the hotel.

Brian endured the humiliation and went back to school, bruised and exhausted.

Rosy's betrayal and Jonathan's smug face kept replaying in his mind. He walked in a trance, not knowing what to do next.

When he returned to the dormitory building, he found Kim and the others standing in the lobby, talking and laughing.

The second Kim saw that Brian was back, he sneered loudly, "Hey, pauper! What did you think about Jonathan's girlfriend? Wasn't she hot?"

"How could a penniless loser like him even think that he deserves a pretty girl like Rosy?"

Kim and the others kept scoffing at Brian mercilessly.

Brian clenched his fists and shouted at them, "Money, money, money! Do you think you can bully the poor just because you have money? Go to hell!"

"Of course! Money makes the world go around. Look at you, you don't have money, so your girlfriend betrayed you and found a man who has money."

Hearing the crowd's mockery, Brian clenched his fists so tightly that his fingernails dug into his flesh.

His eyes were bloodshot, but he didn't say anything more. Instead, he retreated to his room with his head lowered.

There was only one thought in Brian's mind.

Rosy and everyone else who looked down on him would pay for what they had done.

The following morning, Brian was awakened by his ringing phone. He answered the call in a daze.

The voice of an elderly man sounded from the other end of the line. "Mr. Tennant, it's me."
