Chapter 2 Our maid Sara

Sara wanted to know more about the little boy but Bambucha distracted her and she had to leave.

She dropped the list of rules in her new room and went down to the kitchen.

She got there and was shocked to see the unwashed dishes that were stinky.

"Is this a kitchen or a dustbin?" She wondered but still she had to do the dishes.

The dish washer was not working so she had to wash the dishes herself.

There were many leftovers and she had to throw them since they were smelling rotten.

She washed all the dishes, cleaned the kitchen and arranged the place.

It looked very clean and she was impressed.

She went inside of the rooms of the kids of the family and picked up all the dirty clothes.

Good thing the washing machine was working but it took her two hours to do the laundry.

She later cleaned every corner of the house until her whole body was aching.

She cleaned the rooms and arranged them.

She even changed the grey sheets from the gloomy room and kept blue ones.

She was just walking to her room when she heard someone crying.

It was Shanel.

"Hey little one, you are awake. What's wrong?" Asked Sara reaching for the three years old girl but Shanel pushed her away.

"I want my mommy!" Yelled the little girl.

"Mommy has gone to work. Aunt Sara will take care of you okay" said Sara moving close but the girl still pushed her away.

Then Bambucha walked in.

"What did you do to her?" Asked Bambucha

"Nothing. She is just crying" said Sara.

"Did you make pasta for her lunch?" Asked Mr Bambucha.

"Pasta? I didn't know about that" she said

"Did you read the rules i gave you?" Asked Bambucha

"That whole booklet? Was i supposed to read all that with all the work i have in this house?" Asked Sara

"You have to read it to know what you should do for each of the family members at a particular time. Now, make some milk and pasta for the girl. She'll come down" said Mr Bambucha and Sara thought it was weird.

She rushed to the kitchen and made quick pasta in five minutes.

She rushed back to the room and when the girl saw it, she calmed down.

Sara sat down and fed the little girl.

Within few minutes, the girl stopped eating after an alarm of hers rang.

"Why did you stop eating? You barely ate half of the food" said Sara

"You delayed the food with 5 minutes. My time to eat is over. Take it away" she said

"You set time to eat? Strange" said Sara and she went away as the little girl played with her dolls.

As she walked down the staircase, she remembered the little boy in the closed room.

She had cleaned his room when he was at the balcony.

The room looked like it had not been cleaned for a very long time.

"I bet he is hungry too and so am I" she said and filled two plates of pasta.

She found the little boy still at the balcony in his wheelchair.

"Hey, you hungry? I brought food for you. Will you also say that time is up?" Asked Sara but she did not expect the little boy to answe him so she kept the food on the table as she sat on his bed.

"Atleast you remembered that i existed in this house" said the little boy .

"You can talk! That's great. Come have food with me" said Sara and brought the boy in the room.

"You are a nice lady. Please leave this house and go away. Don't ever come back. These people will make your life a living hell" said the little boy.

"If they can make hell for me, i will make heaven for them. I see this house has alot of problems but i will solve it. I will soon learn everything. Now tell me, what's your name?" Asked Sara giving the food to the little boy.

"Eden and you?" He asked

"Wow! Nice name.I'm Sara. I would like to know more about you and this family from you but not now. I'll come to you when i need to learn. I hope we can be friends right?" Asked Sara

"Friends? I've never had a friend" said Eden

"Then i can be your first right? Here eat something" said Sara and spoon fed Eden who did not expect that and began crying.

"Why are you crying?" She asked

"I don't know the last time someone fed me and spoke so lovingly to me. I had forgotten that i can talk. You... you came in first day today and asked for my name. No one does that. You cleaned my room which has not been cleaned for 6 months now. And now, you brought food to eat with me and talk to me. The rest just bring food and place it on the table. Whether i eat or not, it doesn't matter to them. What more could i ask for you to be my friend. Please, i dont want you to get hurt by these people. Just leave from here Sara" said Eden in tears and it felt like he haf wanted to talk like that for so many years.

Sara took the food away from him and hugged him.

"I don't know what happened to you but Eden, i'm not leaving now that i see that you are troubled. I'll be here for you" said Sara and they hugged in tears.

When they were done crying, Sara gave him his food and he ate up along with her.

After 4 years, Eden was having his meal in a smile.

He was so happy.

Sara pitied the poor boy wondering what happened.

Why was the family abandoning him?

Was it because he was lame?

Sara went back to her room and decided to read the house rules of each and everyone.

"This is unbelievable! How do they live like robots?" Asked Sara after reading afew rules quickly before starting to check rules of each and everyone.
