Chapter 7 Confrontation

Declan's brow creased in surprise. He had not expected to bump into them here.

He merely shot them a glance and then turned his attention to the house key. He would like to go to Gemma's villa now.

Upon realizing something, Khloe exclaimed, "Wait a minute. Baby, what's Declan doing here? Do you think that loser has been stalking us?"

Austin pondered for a moment and realized it made sense. "He hopped out of a cab just now. Maybe he's following us."

Khloe shot a warning glare at Declan. "I told you to leave us alone, Declan, but you shamelessly followed us. I'm going to call the police and have you arrested!"

"I'll be staying in this neighborhood. Besides, why would I want to follow you? You're jumping to conclusions," Declan replied without even bothering to look up.

Austin smirked as he found Declan's reason amusing. Even if he could accept the fact that he met Declan here, what made Declan think he belonged?

"You, staying here? Don't make me laugh. You're just a waste of space. Besides, why would you get to stay here?" Austin pulled out his phone, intending to have Declan escorted away.

But without a word, Declan shot a cold look their way and continued to walk forward.

He had no interest in wasting more time on those two clowns.

However, Khloe misinterpreted his exit and thought Declan was trying to escape. With a panicked expression, she tugged on Austin's sleeve and said, "Look, he's making a run for it!"

Austin, seeing Declan move, quickly stepped in front of him.

"Trying to slip away, stalker?" Austin teased with a chilling grin.

"Get on your knees and say you're sorry. Maybe, just maybe, we'll think about letting you off," Khloe haughtily chimed in.

Austin gestured towards Declan's lame leg. "Damn right. And if I were you, I'd be more careful with that leg of yours. If you bother us again, we'll make sure it's even less useful."

Just when the couple thought Declan was going to beg for mercy, he simply said, "Move it, you idiot. You're in my way."

"You're really pushing your luck, Declan!" Austin roared.

The pair, so used to looking down on Declan, were taken aback by his defiance.

In their eyes, Declan was always the victim and easy to beat up.

But what they did not expect was that he dodged the punch Austin launched with the help of the Miracle Energy.

The situation quickly turned. Austin turned around and, before he knew it, he was kicked down by Declan.

Austin and Khloe were in utter shock. They could not wrap their heads around how Declan, seemingly helpless earlier, was now so powerful.

Once Khloe came to her senses, she tried to rationalize the situation. Maybe Austin had just been caught off guard, so Declan managed to overpower him.

"You think you can fight back? Think again, you piece of shit" Austin spat out while glaring at Declan, his face contorted with anger.

"Declan, how dare you hit Austin! Get on your knees now and beg for mercy, or we'll make that leg of yours even worse!" Khloe threatened.

Austin, struggling to catch his breath, glared back at Declan. "You dare to hit me?! Believe me, I can make those legs of yours useless!"

Declan's eyebrows knitted together in disbelief. He could not believe Austin remained audacious. At this moment, Declan's face turned dark and gloomy, and he erupted, "Since you like hurting people, let's see how you like a taste of your own medicine."

Without waiting, Declan delivered a punch straight to Austin's stomach. He did not stop there. He even sent out a series of kicks and, as a final blow, stomped on Austin's leg.

The air was soon pierced by a chilling scream.

Austin's leg was, unbelievably, broken!
