Chapter 6 Cooking Competition

Lillian was shocked that someone dared to barge into this private room. Her expression darkened and she immediately stood up. "How dare you break in without even knocking? Don't you know that this room is reserved for our most distinguished guests?"

Kevin turned to glance at her, only to be shocked. The woman Tristan was with was drop-dead gorgeous! However, his priority now was to destroy Tristan and expose his lies.

So he reluctantly tore his gaze away from Lillian and roared at Tristan, "This is Tristan Stanfield, and he's famous for being the poorest person in our school. He doesn't have the money to buy his own meals, let alone a membership here! Obviously, he colluded with that hostess and snuck in. You'd better call the police and arrest him!"

Lillian's frown deepened. "Who are you? How dare you accuse Mr. Stanfield of being a liar? I personally handled Mr. Stanfield's membership application. He isn't making things up.

You, on the other hand, broke into this private room without permission. Apologize to Mr. Stanfield now and then leave! Otherwise, I'll call security!"

Kevin didn't expect that Lillian would be so tough, and it seemed that she had a high position here, so he could only turn to his uncle, Zane Lopez, for help.

Zane looked at Lillian and said harshly, "Lillian, how dare you ask me to leave? The boss personally invited me to be the hotel's in-house chef. You're just a part-time duty manager!"

Then he placed his hand on Kevin's shoulder and said, "This is my nephew. I let him in. Got a problem with that?"

Lillian's expression darkened.

No employee of Breezy Hotel dared to offend Zane, the head chef. He was notorious for his bad temper, and he was also valued by the boss of the hotel, so he rarely met opposition among the staff.

Seeing that Lillian couldn't retort, Zane snorted complacently and focused his attention on Tristan. "Tristan Stanfield?"

Tristan met Zane's scowl calmly. "That's me. What do you want?"

"I heard what you said just now. You said that my cooking skills weren't impressive and that some of the dishes weren't cooked properly."

"Yes, I did say that."

"Well, let me tell you something. The people I hate most are the ones who think they can tell me how to cook. Who are you to say my dishes weren't cooked properly? Let's see who can cook better. If you lose, leave Breezy Hotel immediately and never come back." Zane glared at Tristan provokingly.

Lillian was about to turn him down on Tristan's behalf. After all, Zane was a Michelin-starred chef whereas Tristan was just a guest. How could he compare to Zane?

But just as she was about to say something, Tristan spoke up first. "Okay. But what if you lose?"

Seeing the relaxed look on Tristan's face, Zane scowled fiercely. "If I lose, I'll resign and leave Breezy Hotel."

"Deal."

Tristan stood up from his seat and pointed at a dish on the table. "Your Beef Wellington isn't authentic at all. Since you want a cooking competition, I'll cook the same dish, and we'll see how my Beef Wellington will compare with yours."

"You arrogant little-" For some reason, Tristan's confidence made Zane falter. Still, he pretended to be calm and cursed the young man fiercely.
