Chapter 9 That Jerk Man

Seeing the two women pretending not to know each other, but one of them finally opened up, Kerr stopped talking to the man on his right and sided his head to look at them.

'The thing really seems to get interesting.' Kerr thought but he just quietly watching at them.

"What do you mean it's been a long time? Should I know you?"

Nicole saw the hypocritical look on Fiona's face and cursed the world for being so small.

Fiona's hand hangs awkwardly in the air as she raises her wine glass. Fiona's hand trembled a little and the smile on her face frozen.

"Nicole, I know you hate me. I've been always worried about you since you left. After all, at that time, you just-

"Just what? Just been betrayed by you and my boyfriend? I didn't care about it long ago. I have already given up on that your beloved trash man. But why are you here to serve other men?"

Nicole knew Fiona too well. She knew Fiona must not have had good intentions when she spoke up at this time and brought up the old days.

What's more important was that Kerr was still here and she can't let her mention about what exactly happened seven years ago.

Jeremy also noticed the argument between Nicole and Fiona at this time. He first studied Kerr's expression carefully and found that instead of thinking of stopping it, he was watching the catfight with interest.

He had been worried that Fiona's behaviour might offend Kerr, but now he was also leaning back in his chair leisurely to see what a drama these two women were playing.

The mockery and disdain on Nicole's face was obvious. But she deliberately avoided what had happened seven years ago, and she even didn't explain too much as she was afraid of Kerr's suspicions.

"I'm here because..." Fiona didn't dare to do anything reckless in front of Jeremy and Kerr. She didn't forget that it was right Gregory asked her to come here. After all, she was well aware of the fact that the survival of the Robinson Group was entirely dependent on the man beside her, Jeremy.

"I..." Fiona paused to glance at Jeremy, she blushed and lowered her head, "We have broken."

Of course she wouldn't tell him know the truth. She, in fact, come for the cooperation plan between the Robinson Group and the Gibson Group.

Nicole merely sneered. She decided to ignore Fiona, not to mention how's Fiona and her ex, Gregory Robinson. She'd long ago stopped caring about what happened between them.

Meanwhile, Kerr was absolutely surprised upon seeing the sharp side of the little woman beside him, but his face remained as expressionless as ever. He simply turned to Jeremy and said, "Women are sometimes like that, isn't it?"

Hearings Kerr's kidding, Jeremy raised his glass and guested to Kerr. "You're absolutely right, Mr. Graham. Haha, cheers."

Kerr also raised his glass but did not rush it to his lips, but announced slowly that, "With regards to the cooperation between the Graham Group and the Gibson Group, I have decided to hand the case over to Ms. Nicole Morgan, the new CMO of Graham Group. And I hope that our cooperation will be a pleasant one."

Then Kerr clinked glasses with Jeremy. With his short speech, he had discreetly and formally introduced Nicole's identity and showed just how much he valued her. This, of course, made both Jeremy and Fiona feel quite surprised.

Especially Fiona. She had thought that Nicole was also here to serve these wealthy and powerful men, but she never expect that actually Nicole got such a high position and she really came for the business.

"Mr. Gibson, hope we will have a happy and successful cooperation. As Mr. Graham just says, I am a newcomer, and I might need a lot of your help as well as your tolerance in the future." Nicole put on a confident and professional smile, she raised her glass to Jeremy, "To our collaboration."

Jeremy gave her a gentlemanly and polite nod and took a sip. From her generous and decent demeanour, he could already see that this was a woman of ability and competence.

Meanwhile, Fiona felt she was simply humiliated to the core. She had said that and tried to embarrass Nicole, but she didn't expect she would make a fool of herself, "Excuse me, I need to go for bathroom for a while." She made an excuse to get out of the room before she broke down.

Just at the moment Fiona walked out of the room, her wrist was gripped hard by a strong hand that quickly pulled her aside.

"How is it going? Does Jeremy had the intention to cooperate with the Robinson Group?" It was Gregory. He had obviously been waiting for a long time outside, and the anxiety was on his face. He knew, it might be the last chance to form a cooperation with the Gibson Group today, or else the Robinson Group would be finished in no time.

"Nonono! Of course not." Fiona hurriedly shook off Gregory's hand. She couldn't forget how arrogant and imposing Nicole had just been, and feel more furious.

"Do you know who I saw just now? That bitch, Nicole, she comes back. And she even got herself a big roof. It really makes me mad and frustrating."

Gregory was shocked at Fiona's words. Ever since Nicole left seven years ago, he lost all her information.

Seven years ago, they mixed up the room number. That day, they in fact had plan to use Nicole's first night to make a deal with a big man. But due to the stupid mistake, they even had made that guy angry and had lost that big order. Also because of this matter, the whole Robinson Group was affected and the business started to go downhill.

By now, the Robinson Group was in jeopardy.

"A big roof? What do you mean?" Gregory asked.

Just as Fiona was about to say something, she suddenly saw Kerr walking out of the private room just a short distance away making a phone call. Fiona eyed to Gregory and hinted.

"See, is that man. Do you know him? Even Jeremy was so polite and humble to him."

When he saw who Fiona was hinting at, Gregory's eyes widened up at once. The man was none other than the president of the Graham Group, Kerr Graham.

"So, the backer you mean Nicole found is him? That's good... Fiona, I'm afraid Nicole's value to us is much higher this time."
