Chapter 8 See Her Again

"Y-Yes. He..." Nicole was stuttering. She definitely didn't want Kerr to know much about her son. She was desperately trying to think of an excuse.

Right this moment, the car stopped in front of a huge magnificent building and a big gilded sign written as Golden Hotel at their front garden.

"Mr. Graham, we are here." the drive reminded and went to open the doors for them from the outside.

Kerr didn't wait Nicole for a finished answer or make more questions. He just got off the car, and the hotel perter welcomed him. He didn't asked more about her son, Nicole breathed a sigh of relief, she got off and followed him.

When they arrived at the room, the others people were already there and waiting. Seeing Kerr and Nicole, they all stood up and greeted. Kerr walked straight to the main seat.

Strangely, they didn't seat one close to another but there was a place empty between every single of them. Nicole looked around at the people in the room, they were all male. She understood then, in normal, they might call some service ladies to please these men.

Nicole felt a sort of embarrassing, 'I think I should better sit at somewhere got a bit distance from Kerr? Obviously, they must have prepared someone could delight him. But only that freasy fat guy near the door and have a place...'

It occurred to Nicole that her appearance was indeed an unexpected circumstance; after all, she was only notified to attend in the last two hours.

"Nicole Morgan, come here." Just as Nicole was hesitating, Kerr spoke up and he hinted with his eyes at the seat next to him. Nicole could only follow his order.

When she sit down, she heard Kerr whisper to her at a voice only she could reach, "I don't like strange women coming near me."

Nicole lightly smiled at Kerr with understanding, but in fact, she was going to roll her eyes to Kerr in her heart, 'You sure you don't like the approach of strange women? Seven years ago, I'm also too strange to you and we don't even know what does each other look like, but you got me so close to you to have a baby!'

But Nicole only dared to curse him secretly in her mind. She could never let Kerr know that the woman from seven years ago was her and that she had his child.

Not long after, as exactly what Nicole guessed, the club manager led a group of women in exposing dresses into the private room. The women all stook in a row and everyone in the room had their eyes fixed on Kerr, not daring to speak as they all waited for him to say something.

Kerr leaned his body on the leather seat and put his left arm on the back of Nicole's seat. Everyone then understood what he's meaning for.

Kerr made a gesture of please with his right hand slight raised, that everyone in the room chose one girl to sit beside them.

Meanwhile, the president of the Gibson Group named Jeremy Gibson who was sitting on the left side of Kerr, did not pick a woman neither. Instead, he merely looked at Nicole who was sitting beside Kerr with interest.

Jeremy was a few years older than Kerr and he's the successor of all the Gibsons' business. In the past, he had also appeared at some different top-class occasions and met Kerr several times, but he never saw a girl would accompany with him. And for this new face called Nicole, she doesn't seem to be that intimate to Kerr, 'Instresting.' He thought.

Kerr had also noticed Jeremy's interest towards Nicole, he spoke up to cut down his staring, "Mr. Gibson, I'm afraid she has to stay with me today. Aren't you going to call for one like them?"

Kerr had a high profile in the business field of city, of course no one would come for his woman. Jeremy was a clever one, and there was no way he could miss the threat in Kerr's words. With that, he simply gave him an embarrassed smile and snapped his fingers to call the manager over.

"Yes sir, she's outside." The hotel manager politely replied after getting Jaremy's request, as if it had been arranged already.

Immediately after, he gestured for the person who had been standing by the door to come in.

What Nicole never expected was when she got a good look at the person who came in, her eyes widened in shock.

The woman was Fiona Finch, she was clad in a small, pink mini dress with a strapless design that accentuated her hourglass figure.

The moment Nicole saw Fiona, she couldn't help but feel it ironic. It had been seven years, but what Gregory and Fiona had done to her just like yesterday. Nicole sized Fiona up, she looked just the same as seven years ago and still beautiful. Even though Fiona still looked quite young, but her eyes grew old. Nicole thought she might not be very good during these years, otherwise, she wouldn't present here in this way. 'So did she break up with Gregory?'

Meanwhile, the smile on Fiona's face immediately frozon when she caught sight of Nicole who was sitting beside Kerr.

But soon, Fiona adjusted herself well and put her seductive smile back on and sat down next to Jeremy. She nodded to him and called Jeremy in a sweet voice, "Hello, Mr. Gibson. I'm Fiona."

Kerr obviously noticed the small anomaly. He turned to Nicole and saw the mockery in her eyes.

"You know her?" His words sounded less like a tone of questioning and more like a comment.

Nicole shook her head slightly.

It's not like she was completely lying. She really didn't know this Fiona. The only Fiona she knew was the one from her childhood. And the moment Fiona and Gregory sent her to someone else's bed and they even hooked with each other, they were never friends anymore.

Everyone was seated, the courses and drinks were also served. Fiona also noticed Nicole was with Ker. She believed Nicole was also a service girl. On the one hand, she despised on Nicole. Fiona decided to take the initiative and guested her glass to Nicole, "Hi, Nicole. It's been a long time we've seen each other, huh?"
