Chapter 8 Test My Powress

Aurora's POV

Now it was my turn!

I had watched from the kitchen in admiration as the previous Luna would walk the grounds and demand things put in place just as she deem it fit. Few years ago, my mother had insisted i return to Blue moon pack where she was originally raised.

She had told me stories of her pleasant childhood before she was robbed of it. I could see bitterness in her eyes, father didn't understand her either. I was too young to choose my path yet, and when she told me she could make me a Luna, I took the opportunity without thinking it twice.

I adjusted my dress as I got on my feet. The maid that just concluded my makeup bowed slightly to me, I must be honest, it felt great to be at the receiving end. Few months ago, I used to do the bowing, like a mere fly, Luna Lyra would just pat me on the shoulder, or worse waved her hand in the air,

It was the most difficult stage of my entire life.

"You can leave now."

She bowed her head softly and walked out of my sight. I contemplated making for the first floor, or probably the kitchen area which used to be my former workplace. I picked up my crown and placed it on my head.

I knew it wasn't necessary to wear my crown always, but I feel like my powress is tied to it, it boosts my confidence to show the world what I am capable of doing now. It would have all been perfect if mother's plan hadn't taken a change.

I had trusted her word, she had supported me when I told her about my crush on the Alpha. She had assured me I would be the Luna which she made true. What she didn't tell me beforehand was that my newly acquired power required I render my lover impotent.

I had made for mother's room the previous night to talk to her about Orion's lack of erection which was starting to bother me. I loved making love with him just as much as i cherish the Luna tittle, unfortunately, that old geezer, elder Jafar was there.

I was so pissed! Why was mother still entertaining a garbage like him!

"There you are my beautiful Luna Aurora."

I turned around to face my mother who was beaming with smiles. She was dressed in a long blue dress that did nothing to flatter her tubby body. Mother had never been great with appearance from onset, her fashion sense had always been tacky, I guess I have to change that soon.

"Mum, I didn't know you are up."

"Of course, I am honey, how do I look." She said turning around.

I felt dryness at the base of my throat, mother hates when her efforts gets undervalued, I guess I just have to flatter her as usual.

"You look stunning queen mother." I said with a smile plastered on my face.

We were still standing there discussing when mother let out a loud cry, she raised slightly her dress and dropped it down immediately. I was afraid, what was happening, her face had paled out totally.

"Go ahead Aurora, I need to return to my room for a minute."

Mother walked out, and I was left alone too, somehow being alone pissed me off more. Alpha Orion had left me in bed really early after his traumatizing dream to attend to pack duties, if only his stupid beta hadn't gone off the rails suddenly.

Beta Cullen! I had never liked him one bit, he would have been my type physically but i could tell he had always been wary of me. Since he knew about my affair with the Alpha, he treats me with so much disdain, he even made away without prior consent on our wedding.

I guess I need to find out how much power a Luna could hold.

I got out of the room. I knew mother wouldn't want me in her room especially when she had something spiritual to handle. I followed my first instinct and walked the grounds, powerful werewolves were bowing to me,

"Luna!" "Luna Aurora Good Morning."

I kept smiling happily, it was a dream come true for me. I hadn't imagined that this was ever possible. To further test the extent it goes, I made for the kitchen, I was expecting hostility, name calling from the rest of the kitchen ladies who used to serve alongside me instead,

They all bowed their heads in my direction.

Even Gina the kitchen mistress who used to frustrate me in the past. She stood there alongside the others with her head bowed low.

"Gina, make me an almond pie."

"Luna Aurora, I am sorry, we do not have any almond butter in store right now."

"Then go fill up the store, I want it before lunch."

"Okay Luna."

I left the kitchen feeling satisfied, this was beyond my expectations. This moment, I duly comply with whatever plan mother has, this powerful control superceeds my lust for sex. Blue moon pack is really powerful and wealthy, and I don't mind standing at the top of all its riches.

"Aurora! "

I turned around to see mother walked up to me. She seemed to have regained her composure, whatever had happened earlier had to have been sorted.

"Follow me."

She held my hand and we both left the kitchen grounds. Ii

t felt like I was being dragged like a mere ragged doll because in truth, with mother, I am no different from a ragged doll to make her plans possible,

But do I mind? Never!

As long as I get to enjoy the wealth and power that comes with it, I am ready to do whatever it takes to aid her cause. The only reason why I would be keeping that old geezer Elder Jafar breathing, despite everything had worked as planned, we still need him.....for now.

We finally stopped at the front of a flower pouch by the third wing of the mansion. Mother looked around carefully and she dropped my hand,

"Something is wrong Aurora, something is trying to interfere with our plan, we need

to move forward with what we discussed last night."

"Mother, do you mean........"
