Chapter 7 Nearly, Everything Rust

Alpha Orion's POV

Aurora had walked out on me!

What was supposed to be our wedding night turned out lonely. I sat there in the darkness of the night, my wolf scratching to surface, but I kept suppressing it. I have no right to be angry, after all,

I turned out to be a failure.

I picked up the teacup by my bed and poured myself some green tea from the kettle in the tray. I felt the soothing effect rest at the pit of my stomach. I knew she would return to the room soon, I couldn't alarm the house by going after her.

This was our bedroom secret, but I wouldn't blame her, she was so young and beautiful.v I am certain she was headed for her mother's room. I draped the blanket over my naked body. I removed it again and stared at my manhood which refused erection.

The past few days had been quite confusing for me, my strength kept declining, even my wolf didn't seem so fierce enough. It was one of the reasons why I had to reject Lyra. I knew she must have found out about my affair with Aurora, that witch must have cursed me!

The door knob turned and I hastily draped the blanket over myself again, I knew it couldn't have been anyone else but my Luna. I pretended to be asleep and waited for her weight to drop lower on the soft bed but it didn't.

After a few seconds, I got impatient and reluctantly got up. Aurora stood there, holding the doorknob, her long fingernails clenched against it, her expression was stoic,

I could tell she was more pissed,

"My Luna, come to bed." I said slowly.

I knew she had always wished I called her that. In the past, she had told me how she envied that witch Lyra being the Luna of the Blue Moon Pack, but today, Aurora finally got her wish, she got to own Luna's crown.

"How much power does a Luna have?" She said with a cold voice.

"What?"

"Alpha Orion, I said how much power does a Luna have?"

"Uhmm ... .I don't know what is going on my Luna, but you have as much authority over the pack as I do."

"Good!"

She unclenched her arms from the doorknob and made towards the bed. The look on her face didn't change, instead she looked more dangerously pissed. To make the craziest part of it, she still looks damn cute even with an angry face.

"Why were you curious?" I asked to keep the conversation moving.

"Never mind." She said as she moved towards the other end of the bed and jumped into it. The sweet fragrance of her signatory smell filled up my nostrils messing with my senses.

If my strength hadn't been miraculously sapped away, I would have made love to her all night. She dragged part of the blanket and covered herself with it, she turned her back on me and pretended to close her eyes.

She opened it again and removed her crown, placed it on the bed stand closest to her as if she was afraid it could get stolen. I scoffed at her childishness. If only she knew that even the moon goddess wouldn't dare steal her crown while on my watch,

That is how much love I feel for her.

I remember how it all started. Shortly before the previous head's maid's death, I had requested to be served some tea and fortunately, Aurora was sent to serve me. It felt like the world came to a standstill when I set my eyes on her. My wolf purred endlessly until I was forced to engage her in a conversation.

I found out she had been one of the pack house maid for a few years. I was surprised that she had been right under my nose for that long without me noticing her at all.

Lyra must have had a stronghold on me back then, that witch!

My only regret was her wasting the lives of my pups that she could have had or probably the babies weren't mine in the first place. She just had to die off in such a futile way. She had mind linked me before her death, that witch knew how to use a phone for Pete's sake!

"Can my mother move to a better room? After all she is a queen mother now."

Wow! She had finally decided to talk to me, I should have thought of this before she asked. I had failed the woman I love and her mother who had been helping us through the process of greatness.

"Of course Aurora, I will make arrangements for that."

"Put a guard there, we wouldn't know, many people envy us now and I don't want any harm done to my mother."

"Don't worry about it my love, I will do everything."

Aurora turned around to face me, she kissed me on the lip and I blushed furiously. She touched my bare chest and it felt like I was just electrocuted, in a good way,

Unfortunately, the feeling didn't last before my strength mysteriously vanished again. Frustration welled up in me, but it seems my love understands me. She pats me on the shoulder and whispers good night to my ears before she sleeps off.

I couldn't sleep, I felt like a failure.

Whatever happened to me needs to be reversed soon. I had started to lose confidence in my own masculinity. Here I am, right beside a beautiful lady, unfortunately, I can't even make love to her.

I ended up losing my consciousness as sleep took over me, but I could still feel that my subconscious mind remained focused. I wish I could explain what happened next, but it all seemed so blurry.

I felt like a black bird had perched on my stomach, and white light was emitting from my body, it was being absorbed by this bird. I tried to fend it off, but I couldn't lift my body until my resolve got stronger and I screamed out.

It disappeared as I screamed and got up. Aurora was woken by my scream and she started questioning me,

Unfortunately, I couldn't remember what had happened a

nymore, just that I had a terrifying nightmare,

Or was it a nightmare at all?
