Chapter 5 The Eyesore

Alpha Orion's POV

For the first time, I was pleased!

The merriment had gone on well better than I had expected. Everyone in Bluemoon pack seemed to have succumb to my wishes, now I am finally where I actually belong,

By Aurora's side.

"My Alpha, you care for more of the green tea?" Ember the head maid said sweetly,

I nodded my head in agreement instantly. The tea seems really therapeutic. It has a soothing effect on me anytime I take a sip of it. I was starting to get addicted to it just as I had gotten addicted to my new Luna Aurora.

"Call in one of the maids to serve it mother, your status has changed." Aurora said with a soft smile as she walked in on us. She was most definitely right, Ember's status had changed dramatically and she was the queen mother now.

"My apologies for requesting such stressful help from you." I said to her.

Few months ago, she had walked into Blue moon pack as a head maid on Elder Jafar's recommendation. The previous headmaid had died so sudden, and the former Luna Lyra was already close to delivery.

Speaking of Luna Lyra, the witch got exactly what she deserved. I am certain the moon goddess must be really pleased with me for disposing off her body as the traitor that she was.

I am almost certain she had charmed her way into becoming my Luna. I had rejected her when I found the real woman that my heart beats for. To my surprise, she ended up dying the next day.

Was she trying to amass my pity?

One of the Pack's maids brought forward the teacup filled with the green tea and served it to me, I drank it all up in a gulp, my body felt a little heavier at first, but it lightened up

My mood lightened up, but i couldn't show it, something else was bothering me.

Beta Cullen's sudden disappearance from the party showed a low sense of regards to me. No one had seen him since the wedding party was concluded. He had switched off his phone and made himself gone ghost.

He is definitely going to end up in dungeon once he returns.

I looked around me, pride swelled up in me, I had everything worth an achievement for a werewolf Alpha, I even thought everything had been perfect with Luna Lyra,

Thankfully Ember revealed a lot of atrocities Lyra had committed against me in the past. How she had bewitched me to marry her, and more horrible things to know.

I had become the Alpha of Blue Moon pack at barely twenty six years old. I was naive and she had used me to become the Luna, she deserves her untimely death. Ember had said she had died trying to kill me for loving another woman.

Right now, I feel fulfilled, the moon goddess had finally favored me with lasting peace,

A peace I was going to hold firmly to.

Lyra's POV

I watched beta Cullen fill up the sand, my body had finally been buried, relief flooded my own soul, I kept staring intently at the man in wonderment, I had always known him for a long while, but I never thought he could have some secrets of his own,

A wizard?

Why on earth had the moon goddess watched it happen just as she had watched me died. I couldn't fathom the mystery behind it all, I guess it was all meant to happen for a greater purpose.

The most spectacular thing about finding out about Beta Cullen's power was his fast healing ability which surpass that of any mere werewolf .I was certain he must have broken a few ribs from the impact of my throwing of him earlier,

How on earth was he still standing tall this quickly?

"Luna."

"Hun."

"It is all done, we have to leave now before it gets dark, the journey ahead might not be a smooth one."

"Okay, let me gather more wild fruit for us to eat along the way." I said frankly.

Beta Cullen laughed, his voice a rich bass voice echoed through the forest air, for the first time , I had noticed his dimples charge out deeply when he smiles, and he was quite really tall.

Or was my new body the petite one?

"Luna, the forest isn't.....deep, it was enchanted that was why you had been going in circles."

Now another discovery! The moon goddess hadn't been generous enough to spread me all these details,

"I didn't know." I said in a low tone,

He gave me another smile

"The obstacles I had faced getting here were only temporarily there to deter me from coming to you."

That piece of information touched my heart, why on earth would he risk his life to save mine? I contemplated asking, but I lacked the actual courage to do that, so I kept up the silence.

I got up from the valley I sat on, and I walked towards him, gave him an encouraging sign. I walked on slowly and he followed me, I noticed how his eyes never left me.

I could tell he wasn't his usual self, to assure him, I held out my hand to take his, but instead he splintered away in fear.

"I am sorry Luna Lyra."

I laughed hysterically. I was no longer Luna Lyra of Blue Moon pack, right now I was merely a traitor whose only crime was loving her Alpha, a gullible man who had ended up watching our wonderful pups and i die untimely.

Despite he was under the influence of magic, i could never forgive Alpha Orion, but i had to save him first, don't i?

Beta Cullen and I started finding our way out of the forest together. Just as he had said, something was strange about it, it wasn't the way it was earlier, I thought he said it wasn't deep,

Why are we still walking on after many miles?

I was getting fatigued, so I needed to distract my mind.

"What was happening when you left the pack house?" I questioned him,

He hesitated, i could tell. I stopped in my track and stared into his eyes, he looked away, but he had no choice, I was still his Luna.

"Alpha Orion got married to Aurora, she was just crowned the Luna."

Ouch!

A few days after my death!!!

I knew about witch Ember's hold on Alpha Orion, my mate but it still stings to hear that, I am definitely going to revenge on every evil done to me.

"Luna Lyra, look up, the forest had released us, that is the pack house up ahead." Cullen said excitedly.

I smiled devilishly, this was it!

The time to take back everything I had lost,

I am going to take it, destroying anyone that stands in my way!
