I walked in at about the time this pronouncement was made, and I watched on in amazement. The whole pack applauded as the crown got placed on her head, when only a few days ago.... She was a mere maid!

"Alpha Orion, you may kiss your Luna."

I watched it happen, the gross unthinkable and everyone applauded excitedly except me.

Alpha Orion signaled to me and I had no choice but to participate in the group pictures. My wolf was screaming and scratching through me begging to be let out, but I had to resist it because if I don't,

I might end up murdering the new Luna!

"Cullen, aren't you going to join us?"

I bowed my head slightly in Alpha Orion's direction, but my eyes kept spiraling round the room, something just didn't feel right!

Just yesterday, half of the men jubilating in this room popping their champagne were murmuring silently about Alpha Orion's cruelty. He had rejected his pregnant Luna two days earlier, and yesterday she had died. To our bewilderment, he denied her a befitting burial.

Had her body thrown away like a mere traitor, today, he just crowned another Luna,

Poor Luna Lyra!

My phone rang loudly and I excused myself to pick the call. My mood further dwindled when the caller had mapped out my worst fear.

"Beta Cullen, we couldn't find her body, we had searched everywhere."

I ended the brief call not to arouse any suspicion from my pack members and Alpha. I had tried to secretly give Luna Lyra a befitting burial, unfortunately,

Her body was missing!

I returned to the wedding hall, the ridiculous dancing, loud music felt like torture to my wolf who was practically pissed at everyone else.

I stopped in my tracks, the memory of my vision from earlier surfaced in my mind, I was livid! Alpha Orion was callous, he had abandoned Lyra to die, and now he is celebrating giving her prestigious title to a freaking maid!

My claws surfaced as my wolf took charge. I took a step towards his direction when a hand rested on my shoulder and I stopped in my track partially frozen.

"You aren't joining the party Beta Cullen, why?"

I felt a strange surge of energy run through my vein, burning heat spread through my body and disappeared almost as quickly as it started. I turned to face the tubby woman standing in front of me with a wide smile on her face.

It was the pack's head maid Ember and all.... the new queen mother,

Her slutty daughter Aurora had crawled her way into Alpha Orion's bed, and now, into his heart.

"Thank you, but I will pass." I said pretentiously, reciprocating her smile.

"Okay, great."

She said and walked past me. As she did, I sensed a strong scent of burning incense on her and her aura radiates darkness. Her getting into the pack to replace the dead head maid had always been questionable to me,

But who was I to pry,

"Isn't she stunning, I mean the new Luna." One of the drunk warriors said,

I didn't respond! I was too shocked! He was Luna Lyra's personal bodyguard. He had cried last night after throwing her body in the bush along with the others, this is terrifying.

Am I the only sane wolf left in the room?

I made it to Alpha Orion's side, he was busy smooshing his new bride to give his attention to any other. I managed to get him to look at me for few seconds and stated that I needed to go someplace,

He didn't question it and I got his permission, I literally ran off to put my sanity in check because obviously everyone else had lost theirs already.

I avoided meeting my adopted parant's gaze because right now,

I was about to betray them!

I got into my car and drove off the pack mansion. The air outside the mansion felt less stuffy and tranquility washed over me, the hopelessness I had felt earlier that day was totally erased.

Could I have been mistaken because this smells like magic was involved!

I sensed a huge heaviness in my heart. I hadn't seen my biological mother in many years. I felt she had abandoned me for a long time, my adopted parents were tight lipped about her not until my wizard abilities became more pronounced few years ago and they had to take me to her to dim it.

I guess I could still make my way down to her coven house.

I was driving close to my destination when my car thumble thrice and stopped abruptly on the third roll, what the heck!

Was I going to die?

It all went blank!

I opened my eyes to see a woman hovering over me and the strong smell of burning incense filled my nostrils. As I struggled to get up, a voice suddenly rang loudly in my ears filled with raw emotion.

"Son, you are awake?"

She hugged me before I could resist it, this woman must have been mistaken, I didn't come here for a freaking reunion with her!

"How long was I out?"

"Your car was jinxed, it crashed into the protective shield covering the coven's hideout, you are lucky you made it out alive wolf boy." The woman hovering above me said distastefully,

I could tell she wasn't fond of me at all.

"Sister, don't call my son that." My mother responded hastily.

"You should have thought about that before opening your legs for a werewolf."

I clenched my fist as frustration welled up in me, thankfully, the room went silent all at once, or I was mistaken,

I had commanded their silence, accidentally, and they had to comply for a short time.

"I came here for something else, my pack's....."

"Relax Cullen, our seer had seen everything before your arrival."

Wow! I was amazed,

Mother tried to hold my hand, but I drew back. We hadn't held hands in twenty eight years, why do we have to do that now?

"Tell me what I am missing out on?" I said courageously.

"Your whole pack has been hypnotized by a powerful dark witch."

Really! Just as I had thought!

"There is more Cullen, two of you will jointly conquer the evil."

"Two of us? Who?" I questioned suspiciously with a thumping heart."

"Your pack's Luna."

These witches must be losing their senses already, Aurora and I would never get close.

"But you have to save her first," my mother added.

"Save Aurora?"

"No, not her, the real Luna."

"Luna Lyra! Is she alive?"
