Chapter 2 A mother's concern

It's past 7"0" clock in the morning and Edward was just coming out from his private gym,that is inside his mansion,he walked with elegance and charisma, ignoring the greetings of his staffs,

But he was stopped by his mother, who was sitting in the living room, reading a newspaper.

"Come here son, good morning son how are you doing?? I can see that you are already done with your morning workout, please take a seat, beside me I have something important to discuss with you,

"Good morning mom",am good and you, what is the matter, hope all is well,he said taking a seat beside her,

"All is well my son", I just want to talk to you about our servants,

"Okay mom, what is wrong?? Did any of them do something wrong?? If that is the case tell me who it is so that I can get them punished,

"it's fine my son, they did nothing wrong to me", I actually want to tell you that I don't like the way you treat our servants,they are also human being and they deserve to be treated with respect,

"Well Mom', I don't have any issues with any of our servants and why are you bringing this up,so early this morning he asked,

"It's important son', and I heard about what happened here yesterday,you shouldn't have done that,it's wrong of you, you don't have to be so mean and rude to anyone, even if they are our servants, it's not right she scolded him,

"I also heard that you fired him, and to make matters worse you spilled a cup of hot coffee oh him,do you know how bad he must have been burnt?? By that coffee,

"you should show a little compassion to everyone around you I raised you better",she yelled at him so angrily,

"Am sorry mom, for upsetting you", but mom you know how much I hate it when people makes mistakes and I have told him several times that I hate brown sugar in my coffee, but still he decided to make coffee with that,

"He actually wants to test my patience", and that led to him being punished,so that it could also serve as a lesson to his colleagues,he said arrogantly,

"We all make mistakes son", that's part of my life and sometimes we don't get punished for it,so I beg you to please show a little compassion towards our servants from now henceforth,are my understood,I didn't raise you to be a bully,his mother scolded him,

"Am sorry mom", I will try to be a little nice to them, but I can't promise that I will be all compassionate to them,am paying them perfectly well, so they have to do their job, perfectly well,no excuse he said feeling angry,

"Please excuse me mom I have to freshen up",I have a movie to shoot this morning he said, standing up from the couch,

"Okay son, when you are done, please join me at the breakfast table,she said,

"Am not in the mood to eat", please go ahead, don't wait for me,I will eat on my way to the office he said coldly.

At his masters bedroom.

"He was getting ready to leave, when he called out to his bodyguard,

Guards!! Guards!!,the bodyguard who was standing outside, rushed into the bedroom immediately,

"Yes boss you called for me",he answered,Are you deaf?? Couldn't you hear me calling you,he asked him so rudely,

"Am so sorry boss, please forgive me", but he was cut off so rudely,I don't need your apologies, I want you to listen to me,I want you to summon every servant working in this mansion,

"I want them all assembled at the hall in the next five minutes,do you understand everything I said,he asked him so rudely, brushing down his hair in front of his mirror,

"Yes sir",I understood everything you said", I will get to it right away,he said hurrying out of the room immediately,

after a while,all the staff members were all assembled in the hall, waiting for their boss,they were all filed with anxiety,as no one could predict, what would happen next,the fear on their faces was so evident,

after a while,they saw him descending down the stairs,he walked with so much arrogance and superiority,the tension in the atmosphere increased,they all trembled at the sight of him,

"Getting to the hall",he stood before them, standing there quietly for some minutes,his face showed no emotions, looking into their faces,his eyes pierced right into their souls, sending shivers down their spine,

After a while,"he cleared his throat and said",I called you all here, to make an important announcement and to make it crystal clear to you all, that there is no room for mistakes in this mansion,

"And I won't tolerate any incompetence from anyone",am sure that you all must have heard about what had happened here yesterday,so let that sound as a warning to each and every one of you present here,

"That there is no room for mistakes here", and consider yourself fired if you dare to make one mistake he said so grumpily,

"And one more thing,if you are tired of this job", kindly get your stinking self out of this house,this instance, because the rules aren't going to change, but if you decide to stay here and work,then I expect you to do it perfectly well,are my well understood?? He asked them so rudely,

"That they couldn't help but glance at each other", before saying,yes sir, they all chorused, we all understood everything and we promise to do our very best,the head of staff members said,

"And one more thing, hope you have put up, the notice about the new house keeper wanted and hope you indicated that it must be a female,he asked his bodyguard.

"Yes I have put up the notice", exactly how you instructed it to be,the guard said.

"Okay that's good, you all are dismissed", now go back to your duty post now!! He yelled at them.

"They all ran out of the hall in a flash, let's go,he said to his bodyguard.
