The knights who had a strong conviction to protect Alexsander's family felt a threat the moment they saw Kay coming with a strange man.
That was why they naturally followed Kay, to guarantee his safety. But they had no choice but to follow Kay's wishes and leave Kay with Enzo.
Kay brought Enzo to the entrance of the Marquis' residence.
"Welcome young master."
Kay was surprised to see Simon who had been waiting for him outside the door smiling a friendly smile that managed to give Kay goosebumps.
Kay realised Simon's gaze had shifted to Enzo beside him. The smile on Simon's face disappeared and he suddenly became tense.
Kay felt that the situation between the two was not very good. Both of them were staring at each other with a sharp gaze.
"Simon should be able to tell the level of Enzo's strength. Does Enzo have so much power that Simon can't even control the emotions on his face?"
Kay who was still in his spot watched the two.
Kay decided not to care about Enzo and Simon who were fighting through their eyes as they, walked back Simon quickly followed Kay.
"Young master, let me take care of this guest. Just tell me what I need to do."
Kay liked that suggestion. It would be better if he left Enzo to Simon. But Kay decided to do his job until it was done.
Kay only needed to take the starving Enzo to the kitchen.
"No need, I can do it myself," Kay replied.
Simon still followed Kay as he led Enzo to the kitchen. The door was easily opened. Kay's expression tightened at the sight in front of him.
Kay saw Clara, humming merrily with a knife in both hands.
Kay felt tired for one reason, after his first life he just realised that the people around him were not like normal humans in general.
Kay kept his expressionless face before he started talking to Clara.
Kay placed a hand on Enzo's shoulder and pointed at him,
"Give him something to eat."
Clara looked confused, Kay realised when Clara glanced at Simon who was right behind Enzo.
The sharp knife in Clara's hand shone reflecting the light. Kay calmed his trembling heart as he repeated his words back.
"Give our guest something to eat. He's starving."
Clara replied with a stiff expression on her face. After the woman looked back and forth between herself and Enzo.
"Yes sir, as you wish. I will prepare the food for your guest."
Kay smiled with satisfaction at Clara's answer, although he felt goosebumps coming up at the sound of Clara's creepy voice for him.
"Ah, also prepare something for me to eat, I'm hungry."
Kay turned around without waiting for Clara's response once he was done with his business. He then left the kitchen and headed for his room.
Simon followed him and asked questions quickly.
"Young master, what should I do about your guest?"
Kay had done everything he thought was necessary for him to do. gaining the power of the first realm, becoming Enzo's benefactor and bringing Enzo together with Simon.
There was nothing urgent that he needed to do now.
"For now, give him a room to rest tonight and tell him to meet me tomorrow morning, I'm tired do whatever you think you need to do and Simon don't bother me you understand?"
As Kay expected, Simon did not follow him. He left Simon and Clara to take care of Enzo while Kay went back to his room.
Kay was happy, exhaustion made him fall asleep even before the food appeared.
That's why he didn't know the chaos going on in the kitchen. The three people he stayed there were attacking each other.
Of course, Kay didn't know about it. No one knew about it except those three people at least for now.
The next day, unexpectedly for Kay who was still sleeping even when the eyes of the day had shone brightly.
Marquis Hugo called Simon along with Erik, the soldier who had previously accompanied Kay out of the main estate.
Marquis Hugo's face hardened at the report that Simon and Erik gave him.
Marquis Hugo couldn't hide his surprise when Erik excitedly recounted what Kay had done one day earlier.
"The young master gave me some gold coins and told me to buy some warm bread and fresh groceries. I never realised that everything I bought was for abandoned orphans. I was very proud when the young master found out that the person in charge of the orphanage was using the orphanage's money for himself. The young master looked very cool and authoritative when he told me to arrest the corrupt man."
Erik told his story with great vigour, Marquis Hugo who was listening to the longest report he had ever heard about his eldest son could not help but smile at the corners of his mouth.
It was interesting, for the first time, Kay didn't make a mess when he was outside the estate.
Marquis Hugo had made an enquiry regarding the person in charge of the orphanage just like the report Erik had given him. Everything his son had told Erik was true.
Marquis Hugo didn't even know how Kay could know things that even he didn't know like that.
The most important part was that Marquis Hugo had determined the appropriate punishment for the corrupt orphanage in charge and his subordinates involved with it.
"That's enough for now, make sure you always accompany him when Kay goes out to the farm."
Marquis Hogo realised one thing, Kay had changed. He sensed that his son's change was related to something dangerous although he did not know what it was.
In order to ensure his son's safety, Kay had to have a soldier by his side at all times.
"Yes, sir, I understand," he said excitedly.
Erik bowed his head, having reported everything he needed to report. Erik walked out leaving Marquis Hugo with Simon.
"Now, Simon tell me about the mysterious guest my son brought yesterday."
Simon smiled kindly, before he answered the questions Marquis Hugo asked him.
***
"Young master, did you sleep well."
Kay who just woke up saw Simon who was smiling gently as usual with no expression on his face.
Simon brought coffee for him, making his bad mood a little better.
Kay's gaze shifted to Simon's bandaged wrist.
"Are you hurt?"
Kay asked a question that managed to make Simon's facial expression change for a few seconds.
"Are you worried about me?"
Kay felt goosebumps rise, hearing Simon's question.
"No, it's just that the bandage on your hand is attracting too much attention."
Kay replied indifferently, he didn't even realise as he turned his gaze away from Simon.
"You don't need to worry, it's just a small scratch when I was taking care of the puppy yesterday."
Kay was sure that the puppy Simon was referring to was Enzo. However, he didn't know what happened to Enzo and Simon after he left Enzo with Simon yesterday.
Either way, Kay had a feeling that it wasn't a good thing.
"Are you going out again today?"
Kay stroked his stomach before he answered Simon's question.
"Yes, there are some things I need to take care of but before that please tell Clara to prepare some food for me. I'll go see my father for a while."
Kay opened the door, and closed it again so quickly that it made a loud noise.
"Simon."
Kay saw Simon smile before the man approached him and whispered with a mocking smile on his face.
"Are you surprised young master? I had told your guest to wait in the parlour until you woke up but he insisted on waiting for you here."
Kay was surprised. Kay had seen Enzo staring at him as soon as he opened the door, which caused Kay to close the door in shock.
His hand reached into the inside pocket of his shirt. The ten million Gon cheque in his pocket managed to calm him down.
Simon looked at Kay and started talking again.
"I didn't have time to tell you because you opened the door right away."
Kay knew that Simon had enough time to tell him, but the sly man chose not to say anything to Kay.
Kay couldn't say anything to Simon. He took one step away from Simon when Kay opened the door again.
"What's wrong?"
Kay pretended that he had never slammed the door as he chatted with Enzo. He noticed how much better Enzo looked than before.
After taking a shower, fixing his hair and putting on new clothes, Enzo looked like a typical teenager. It was just that his eyes were fixed on him.
Enzo was still scary to Kay. That's why looking into his eyes scared Kay.
"I'll pay for the food you gave me."
"Huh?"
Kay was shocked, Enzo was waiting for him just to say that to him. Kay began to frown at Enzo's words.
"Paying for the food? It's not necessary that I try to be generous to him. Does he think I'm going to ask him to pay for his meal yesterday? What a stupid thought."
Kay sighed heavily, he cursed in his mind.
"No need. Is there anything else you need?"
Kay firmly refused Enzo's offer and asked him back.
Enzo began to observe Kay more closely. That gaze made Kay become scared. Enzo's gaze looked even more sinister than Simon's gaze at him.
"I have one thing I would like to ask of you."
