Wrinkles began to appear on Kay's face, as his simple brain was forced to think of many complicated things in quick succession.
"I need to find power for myself first before I start doing other complicated things."
Kay recalled the God of Balance saying that he would help Kay master all the magic elements that would be useful to fight the Dark King with ease.
Kay clearly remembered where and with whom he needed to meet.
The God of Balance had already prepared someone who would help Kay.
"I need to meet that person as soon as possible."
Kay looked at his reflection in the mirror after he finished dressing. As always even though wearing simple clothes Kay back when he was nineteen years old looked handsome in whatever he wore.
Simon led the way for Kay to get to the dining area, he calmly followed Simon behind him.
Simon opened the dining room door in front of him, Kay walked past Simon and into the dining room.
Kay felt a nostalgic feeling when he saw all his members who had passed away now in front of him.
His father who was also the current head of the Alexsander family, Marquis Hugo. Next to him was Kay's mother, countess Fiona along with Kay's two twin brothers.
The four people looked at Kay.
"Kay, you're late again today."
Marquis Hugo, Kay's father spoke to him. Kay turned his gaze on Hugo who was talking to him.
Kay's father was the only person whose words Kay would listen to. When Kay's relationship with his family members was not good.
It's not like Kay hates them, it's just that Kay's bad personality makes it difficult for his family to get close to him. Although Kay had never hurt his family members no matter what the circumstances were.
"Have a seat."
Kay sit down in the place that had been provided for him. His eyes were fixed on the dining table full of various delicious foods that had been cooked by his family's.
Kay who had just sat down felt someone staring at him before he finally looked at his father who was looking at him with a serious look.
'Dad, is there anything I need to know?"
Kay asked the question once he saw Hugo's questioning face at him. Hugo looked at him the same way the rest of his family did.
Kay made eye contact with all his family members starting from his father, and ending with his two younger brothers who were only nine years old.
They all quickly looked away whenever Kay accidentally made eye contact as he savoured the delicacies before his eyes.
"They are still the same, but I feel sad for one reason."
Kay spoke in his mind as he continued to stuff food into his empty mouth. It was a quiet meal.
Kay during his first life spent more than half of his life on the battlefield with unappetising food smiled contentedly as his tongue finally returned to the taste of food in his mouth.
Kay didn't realise his smiling face as he ate quietly made his family members stare at him in disbelief.
They all looked in surprise at Kay who was eating quietly for the first time. Not only that Kay didn't even complain anything about the food served on the dining table.
The eldest son of the Alexsander family and the eldest brother who was respected by his two younger siblings for the first time ate quietly like an elegant noble.
Perhaps Kay naturally did not realise the changes that had happened to him. This was because even though Kay was now in his nineteen-year-old body his mind and soul were Kay who was over forty years old.
It was the soul of Kay who had gone through the bitterness of life on the cruel battlefield.
"He's smiling?"
"My son is smiling?"
"My brother is smiling and eating quietly?"
"Is Kay sick?"
Kay did not notice the four people who were talking to each other through the look in their eyes.
He was currently busy looking at all the delicious dishes in front of him.
Kay then moved the plate in his hand to pick up the salad made of fruits that tasted sweet and sour inside his mouth. It went on and on until Kay felt that his stomach had been completely filled by now.
He had eaten a lot of delicious food after a long time, starting from meat, soup, bread and fruit salad as his dessert.
Kay who had a satisfied expression on his face made eye contact with his father, Marquis Hugo who was looking at him with a strange look.
"Kay?"
Marquis Hugo carefully called out to his eldest son Kay, before he hesitantly moved his mouth.
Kay patiently waited for his father who was about to say something to him. The atmosphere was very awkward for Kay, as his father did not say anything for a long time.
Kay hated that awkward atmosphere, and spoke first.
"Dad, the food was delicious," he said.
Again the four people at the same table as him looked confused by his words.
Kay knew he had a pretty bad relationship with his family. He just didn't realise it was this bad.
"Hahaha, you're right Kay, this food is really delicious."
Marquis Hugo replied awkwardly. Kay began to think that he shouldn't start talking to his father, who was the head of the Alexsander family.
Kay was just a punk who liked to cause trouble when he was a teenager.
Kay, who began to realise how bad his personality was, began to laugh at himself.
Luckily, despite Kay's very bad attitude, no one dared to criticise him.
His father really took good care of Kay. He didn't even care that Kay's talk didn't seem like that of a polite noble.
Kay got up from his place after he saw his father as well as his family members waking up. Marquis Hugo looked back at his eldest son and began to speak.
"Kay, my good son do you need anything? Just tell this to your father."
Hugo spoke in a soft tone, he waited as Kay seemed to be thinking hard about what he wanted.
"I need money father, can you give me a lot of money?"
Marquis Hugo gasped before he started laughing at Kay's request and answered without hesitation.
"Of course, as you wish I will give you a lot of money," he said casually.
Kay smiled after hearing the answer given by his father. The smile didn't last long, Kay who had just received the cheque Simon gave him lost his words.
The amount that Marquis Hugo gave him, was even more than what he was used to receiving.
I know my family is rich, but Kay doesn't really know how much wealth his family has. Moreover, administrative matters were usually handled by his mother and not him.
'20 million gon.'
Kay said in disbelief, twenty million gon was equivalent to two hundred million. This was a huge amount. Kay usually received ten million gon, and this time he got twice as much pocket money as usual.
"If the war doesn't happen I will collect a lot of money and live in a place that no one can find. I also need to take that stupid hero with me so that he doesn't get tossed around among the nobles later."
Kay began to think that even when the war was over every continent would be hit by a huge financial crisis. Although he planned to make the hero live in peace after the war ended, Kay also had to find the right place for that.
A place that no one could easily find. Kay needed money to buy a piece of land and build a place to rest after the war.
Kay who had been through the war for more than half of his life, also wanted a peaceful life this time.
A quiet life with nothing to do, no need to work and no need to take care of troublesome dukedom matters. Just eat and sleep all day.
For that Kay needed a lot of money. He also had to start thinking of ways to earn a lot of money other than asking his rich father for money.
Kay started compiling the urgent things he had to do now. Build a good relationship with the foolish hero, Enzo. Eliminate the Dark King, and earn a lot of money for his long rest period after the war.
"Hah, there are too many things I have to do, it's so troublesome."
Kay sighed tiredly, as he was lying down looking at the cheque above his head.
Simon who had just walked into Kay's room, looked at his confused young master who was behaving very strangely today.
Kay was acting quieter than usual, besides half a day had passed but Kay hadn't done anything to cause trouble as usual. It was as if Kay was a different person.
It managed to catch the attention of Simon who involuntarily started smiling as he realised Kay was looking at him with a frightened look.
Simon internally wanted to laugh at the funny expression his young master was making right now.
Kay who saw Simon's evil smile tried to ignore it and spoke as usual.
"Simon, what's the date now?"
If the one asking was one of Kay's younger siblings it would sound strange to Simon. But, it was Kay who asked so Simon answered calmly as usual. This was because Kay often asked him for the date.
"It is the ninth day of the third month of the year 927 in the young master's calendar."
"Umm, this sucks I can't even spend one day relaxing."
Kay sounded very frustrated as he said that, Simon could only look at him in confusion without saying anything, before Kay finally got up from his bed.
"Simon, prepare the carriage. I'll go out in a little while."
