Chapter 3 New Life

Kay could not lie, what the God in front of him said was very favourable for her. Not only did he have a chance to make the foolish hero's dream come true.

In the process of stopping the Dark King and winning the war between good and evil the God in front of him would give him a helping hand. The God of Balance would even allow him to retain the memories of his previous life, which would make it easier for Kay to achieve his wish.

"I think it's worth trying."

Kay smiled faintly, it would not be easy Kay knew that. But to realise the foolish dream of the hero who spent more than two decades in the war Kay had faith that he could do it.

It wouldn't be more accurate to say Kay wanted to do just that.

"You made the right choice human."

The God of Balance looked pleased at Kay's answer. He snapped his fingers, a pen suddenly appeared and floated in the air before finally being in the hands of the God of Balance.

"Now please sign this contract."

Kay looked at the contract given by the God of Balance, the God of Balance looked pleased as Kay signed the contract he gave without asking many troublesome questions.

The contract of agreement with the God of Balance that he had just signed disappeared as if it didn't exist in the first place.

"To be honest Kay, the world is on the verge of collapse right now."

Cracks, cracks.

There were a few strange sounds before the ceiling lights flickered again.

The God of Balance stopped speaking and caught his breath. He then looked back at Kay, and continued speaking.

"That's why, I felt very happy when I heard your desperate wish. It was your first heartfelt wish during your lifetime. It was then that I finally decided to use my greatest power to turn back time and meet you here."

Kay tapped the armrest and opened his mouth.

"I understand."

The God of Balance smiled at Kay, hearing the short answer he gave.

"In that case, I'll see you again, chosen human."

The room was filled with light that dazzled Kay seeing the figure of the God in front of him who was lost in the light before Kay closed his eyes tightly.

Kay could feel a gentle yet strong tap on his shoulder. Forcing him to open his eyes that were still closed.

"Young master, it's morning. You should get up now."

Kay felt familiar with the voice that reminded him of the butler, he felt chills all over his body and his still closed eyes opened quickly.

It was a sight Kay was used to seeing during his teenage years, a thirty-something man standing in front of him with a satisfied expression.

"This is amazing, I'm surprised to see you wake up after just one attempt."

Kay was surprised, seeing his butler Simon. Even so Kay tried to keep a calm face.

''Lord said he would like to have meals together with you. It looks like it will come true today."

Kay looked stoic as he turned his face away from Simon, he looked around the room through the corner of his eye.

"I guess time really is rewinding."

Simon looked towards him with a concerned look. Kay smiled indifferently at him, he was trying to get up from his bed when Kay felt his surroundings darken and he started to feel dizzy. Kay lowered his head and sat back down on the edge of his bed.

"Young master, are you still drunk? Should I call a doctor? Or bring some water to wash your face?"

Simon noticed that Kay was not looking too good. Staring at the golden hair that glistened in front of his face. For one reason Simon felt that something different was happening to Kay.

"Young master?"

Kay responded to Simon, the grown man who pretended to be worried and be a good butler.

"Cold water."

Kay needed something to clear his head, he also deliberately chased away Simon who scared him when he was around the man.

"Please bring me some cold water."

Kay repeated his words, before he shooed Simon out of his room with a gesture of his hand. Simon smiled softly, he bowed his head slightly before leaving Kay's bedroom.

"Well young master, as you said I will bring you some cold water," Simon said.

"Yes, thank you."

Simon gasped for a moment and had a strange expression on his face, but Kay didn't notice.

***

Simon left Kay's room because there was only warm water in the room.

Once Kay was left alone, he got off his bed and headed for the bathroom.

If time was really turned back, Kay had a lot of things he should think about from now on.

Kay felt unnaturally calm. Although he could not fully believe that time had really been turned back, everything felt so fast that the war he went through for twenty-seven years of his life was like a nightmare that disappeared as soon as he woke up.

"Is everything going to be like the past?"

The question flashed through his mind. After he passed the point of no return for his logic to accept all the things that seemed to make no sense.

Someone meeting with a great God and making an agreement to eliminate the Dark Lord, anyone would not believe such an absurd statement. Even for Kay alone.

Kay tried to calm his mind. Once his calm returned, he began to recall all the information he had obtained from his first life.

The most important information Kay had to remember was the information about the hero's appearance.

Someone that even the Crown Prince didn't know where the hero came from. Of course, God had given Kay detailed information about the hero.

The hero was someone that God had brought from a different world when he was still in his teens. Next thing Kay knew the hero could live as long as a dragon without aging at all.

"This is bad."

Kay recalled his first meeting with the hero which was not very good. They got into a fight before Kay finally asked his half-brother to take care of the hero and bring him to their residence.

That had not happened yet. Kay was happy for one reason because he had not met the hero yet. This time he would do things differently from his previous life.

Kay would personally bring Enzo to his residence and keep the foolish hero by his side until the time of war passed so that he could enjoy his simple dream of living in peace without interference.

Kay leaned back in the bathtub and looked up at the ceiling made of expensive granite. Kay even recalled how rich his family was. Considering that the estate where he lived was filled with high-quality granite, of course, the price was very expensive.

"This time I'll make sure to become a trashy young master who squanders all the money my parents have."

Kay began to mutter as he looked towards the ceiling. There was a lot he had missed in his first life.

Living as the eldest son of a nobleman. Kay really didn't do much of anything. He also never took things seriously, Kay tended to leave everything to his younger brother.

Recalling the suffering and pain he felt during the war, Kay really hated it. He didn't like pain or death.

No matter what it was, even if he was rolling around in the mud, it was still better than feeling the same death a second time.

"For that reason, I must first make sure if I make a proper introduction to the hero this time."

Kay did not know what day it was when he met Enzo for the first time, but he was sure he had not met Enzo for the time being.

Kay began to frown, Kay had a fairly simple life motto after passing his first death.

Live peacefully for a long time without pain. No matter what would happen Kay would make sure that he would enjoy every little pleasure in his life this time.

Kay will also make sure that Enzo can live a peaceful life. Just like his dream.

"As long as I have the memories of my first life. I will make everything go in a direction that is favourable to me."

Ensuring that Enzo would not do everything on his own, Kay was determined to make everything easy for the hero to go through.

The God of Balance kept his promise. Kay could clearly remember every single thing he went through in his first life without the slightest problem.

Kay was still relaxing with a warm bath, until he came to a final conclusion with his head now clear.

"It's worth it for me to do."

Avoiding the war that was about to erupt, stopping the King of Darkness and living a quiet life afterwards.

For now the situation was still in his favour. The location of the estate he was now occupying was also in the corner of the southern continent.

Making it a strategic location to avoid war.

Even in his first life, many nobles managed to avoid the influence of war. Although it could not be said to completely avoid it.

Kay could at least reduce the damage to a minimum that would occur in this estate while dealing with the King of Darkness.

"Young master, are you in the bathroom?"

Kay could hear Simon's voice coming from outside. Kay began to think about Simon's true identity.

Simon was a hitman who crossed over from the northern continent by sea. He pretended to be a kind-hearted butler, but the real Simon was an unforgiving ruthless man.

"Yes, I'll be right out."

Kay naturally spoke informally to Simon. Kay realised what he was going to do and had to do in order to complete the pact he made with God.

Kay plans to encourage Simon who has great killing skills to become the hero's close friend.

That way, Enzo has someone he can rely on besides himself. The foolish hero won't have to do hard things alone.

Kay will help him, Kay will make sure that Enzo will not be the same fool as his first life.

The hero who did everything by himself, this time Kay was determined to help the hero. Making sure that the fool could live the peaceful life that was his big dream.

Yes it was troublesome, Kay hated troublesome things. But it was worth trying.
