CHAPTER 09 – On Alpha's back

Tevena's POV

I wanted to swim in the lake. I usually come here when I want a change or get stressed. I was waiting until my father and mother went to sleep and I peeped out from the home like a thief with some extra clothes and a towel and ran towards the lake.

It was so beautiful! The trees were rustling and the crickets were chirping. The moonlight was like a spotlight on me. It gave a perfect vibe for a cold bath. I looked all over the place before I changed my clothes. On the other days I was bathing with comfortable clothes on, but today for a change I thought to bath without clothes.

The lake water was calm and the gentle wind was blowing. As soon as I removed my clothes, I kept them on the lake bank, and when the cold wind touched my bare skin a wave of goosebumps ran all over my body. Without taking a minute I jumped into the water. I shivered a little initially, but slowly my skin got used to the cold water with the wind.

When I was swimming, suddenly the moon was covered by a few dark clouds. The surroundings were a little bit dark. I didn't feel scared. This is our pack territory and there were not a single case of abuse or murder was reported in the past, but I felt that someone was watching me.

I looked carefully, and except for the rustling trees, there was no movement. I continued my bath and the moonlight came back giving me the spotlight. I hummed a song and splashed water enjoying my bath.

Suddenly someone or something fell into the water closer to me and I screamed in fear and shock.

"Aaaaahhhh" I forgot that I was naked and was about to run out of the water.

"Tevena, it's me." Through my scream, I heard someone calling my name.

I turned to see those pair of brown eyes looking at me! I was shocked to find that it was the Alpha!

"Alpha? Is this you?" We both were shocked to see each other and I understood that he was also naked.

"Yes, it's me. I didn't mean to scare you." He was giving reasons.

"Did you watch me bathing?" I felt so embarrassed and at the same moment a feeling of ashamed.

"No, it was not like that. I came for a run, I was shifted to my wolf form and we followed someone until here. Then it got disappeared" He said. My head was on top of the water and so was his.

"Nothing came here except you!" I said with an annoying tone. I came for a peaceful bath and now I am trapped in the water with the pack Alpha. I hope no one will see this.

"Listen, I swear on moon goddess. I didn't come to watch you. Do you think that I've never seen naked women?"

Who knows, men are born to lie! Was the reply that my head wanted to give, but I bit my tongue and waited.

"Turn around, I need to go back to change clothes," I said.

"Is this a time for a girl to bathe alone?" He asked.

"Who said I was alone? My Alpha is here with me!" I rolled my eyes.

"Don't behave like a kid Tevena. You are a young woman now!" He said.

"Who said, I am still seventeen" I replied.

"But you are going to turn eighteen, soon right?" After a few times, he said.

"Yes, after another week" I feel happy when I think about it. I saw he was shutting his eyes like in the library. Then he opened his eyes and shook his head.

"What happened Alpha?" I narrowed my forehead.

"Nothing. We should leave now. You might catch a cold. You are a crazy girl Tevena. Did your parents allow you to come to the lake at this time?" He asked.

"Please don't tell them. I came here after they slept. I think I should leave now. Turn around. I need to go back and change clothes" He nodded his head and turned to the other side facing his back on me.

"No peeking and don't turn around until I say!"

"Just go and change quickly, otherwise you will freeze," He said staying still. He was playing with the water. I can see his upper body, above the chest area. His muscular tan body and when he was running his fingertips through his hair, his biceps were bulging with muscles.

You are a pervert Tevena! Already you have a crush on Jasper and here you are licking lips for your Alpha. I mentally palmed about my perverted mind and came to lake bank to change my clothes. I took the towel and started to wipe my hair.

"Alpha, I have...." When I heard a male voice, I screamed trying to cover myself. My scream was enough to turn Alpha and my scream doubled when both men were looking at me with surprise.

"What the hell are you doing here? Turn around" The next second in a lightning speed Alpha came to me and wrapped the towel around me securing my naked body. I tightly shut my eyes before I see the naked Alpha.

"Oh, I am so sorry. I didn't see anything" It was Nico, the Gamma of the pack.

"Nico, what are you doing here?" I sat on the ground without opening my eyes.

"I came to see the Alpha. I didn't know that you two were....."

"No, nothing happened between us," Both I and the Alpha said at once.

"It's all right. My lips are sealed with your secret. I won't tell anybody" Nico was a playful character.

"Nico, I told you that there's nothing happened. It was a coincidence" Alpha said.

"I was bathing peacefully and your Alpha disturbed me," I said.

"Tevena, wolves are craving for sex. When it times, they don't see who was on the other side" Nico was blabbering when Alpha growled at him.

"Nico, if you don't shut up, I will allow Conry to make you straight!" I heard the Alpha. I slowly opened my eyes to see only his feet. Through the veiny toes, my gaze slowly started to move up, but I stopped when it came to the knee level.

"Can you both please turn around until I change my clothes?" I politely asked. It was not a time to argue, if my parents knew that I was not in the room, a huge mess is going to come.

"Alpha, I brought your clothes also" With a low growl I heard him taking his clothes. We both changed into our clothes and I sneezed three times continuously.

"Oh oh girl, you are gonna catch a cold," Nico said when I was wiping my nose from a corner of my towel.

"You are such a crazy girl Tevena. Who comes in the night alone to a lake to swim?" Alpha said.

"I come here when I get stressed and when I need a break," I said sneezing again.

"Let's go before your situation gets worse," The Alpha said.

"I would love to walk chatting with you two under the moonlight" Nico was the happiest one among us at the moment.

"Alpha, you know next week Tevena is turning eighteen. Isn't that great?" Nico clapped two times.

"You seem excited more than me," I said pinching his arm. I was walking in the middle while Nico and the Alpha were on either side protecting me. I felt proud like I was walking with my bodyguards. Imagine Alpha for a bodyguard!

"This seems taking time. Nico and I will shift into our wolves and...."

"It's all right Alpha, you can go. I will walk home" Though I was feeling a little scared and insecure, I said.

"I have never seen such a foolish girl like you in my life Tevena. Do you think that we will shift and run leaving you alone here? What if anything happened to you? Your parents will start a war. I won't be able to sit back as the Alpha. We will shift and you get into my back" When Alpha said my eyes widened.

"Huh, on your back. No, never. Even my parents have instructed to not to look at you and speak to you always lowering our heads. If they knew..."

"They won't because none of us are going to discuss what happened here at any cost," Alpha said.

"I am sorry Alpha, but that can't be done. I am on a wolf's back. I don't think I'll be able to handle the...." Before I finished my phrase, Alpha started to shift.

"Tevena, let me warn you. His wolf is the most stubborn wolf I have ever seen in my life. You better get into his back before he does something stubborn" Nico was scaring me. Alpha was shifted to his large wolf who was already in his four paws.

He looked at me with his glowing eyes. Those pair of eyes ran a shiver down my back more than the chilling outside. Those were the eyes I saw in my dream. This confused me. Why did I see Alpha in my dream?

"Tevena, we will run to the tree line, and from there you will walk to the home. Because Alpha needs to shift back and wear his clothes. Alpha is a little shy one to show his muscular body to the others" Nico said.

He wasn't shy to fall into the lake naked while I was bathing! I mentally replied to what Nico said.

"Nico, what should I do when I get into his back?" I have never ridden on a wolve's back.

"Wrapped your arms around his neck and held him tightly. Hold his thick fur turn your head into a side and rest your head on his neck. Don't worry, Conry knows how to handle a human on his back. Don't forget to get down at the end of the tree line" Nico said. Alpha huffed a little. I thought that he must be asking to hurry up.

I carefully got into his back putting the bag of clothes across my body and touched his fur. It was soft and thick. My arms almost disappeared among his thick fur. I did exactly the way Nico said and the Alpha started to run at the speed of an arrow. I shut my eyes in scared. The cool breeze was wrapped all over my body and my ears were already locked.

Within a short period, we reached the end of the tree line where I started to see the pack house buildings and our houses. Alpha was slowing down, I knew that it was my time to get down from his back. Nico and the Alpha stopped and I got down.

"Thank you, Alpha. Good night!" His brown eyes were looking at me and suddenly they got soft and blinked as replying to my good night.

"Good night Nico. See you at the school tomorrow!" Saying I ran towards the house. I turned back to see that those pair of eyes were looking at me, those were shining to the moonlight like spotlights.

Next day morning

I sneezed a few times. I felt that I caught a cold. I got late to wake up because of last night and luckily the mother and the father had no idea about last night. I quickly had my breakfast and cycled to the school. I wore an ice cap also because of the chilling outside and I didn't want to get my cold worse.

"Hey, girl!" Cassie came from behind when I was keeping my books in the locker. We have Mathematics early in the morning.

While I and Cassie were in a chat giggling and laughing someone knocked on my shoulder.

As soon as I turned a strong punch across my face went making me fall on the ground!
