CHAPTER 08 – The green light pushed me

Theron's POV

"What did you say?" I was shocked to hear that she was having a mate.

"Yes, I have a mate who was an Omega of the pack!" she blew some air looking at her sharp pointed nails like claws.

"Did he know that you are his mate?" I asked.

"Of course. He is also 19. I wanted to reject him, but the father asked me to keep him by my side" I was disgusted by the way she was speaking about her mate.

"She will be a good f*king toy for us!" Conry said with a mocking tone.

"How can you live ignoring your mate and here you are to build the relationship with me?" I asked.

"Theron baby..."

"It's Alpha Theron and I am not your baby!" my voice was strict.

"Alpha, you don't have a mate and I was blessed with an omega as my mate. The father decides that we should build our relationship with another Alpha family to continue our leadership" She was circling me like a shark for its' prey. Roaming her fingertips all over my body and giving me a lustful look licking her lips.

"Give me the control. I will shred this tiny wolf into pieces" Conry was trying to take control.

"Hold on Conry. I will handle this matter. We don't need bloodshed" I replied.

"Shame on you Elanor. I never thought that the sixteen-year-old girl I saw at your mother's funeral would be this greedy for power!" I gritted my teeth and clenched my fists.

"Theron, I mean Alpha, we all do greedy for the power. I mean look at your parents, they also fixed this proposal because we are an Alpha family" I was disgusted by the way she spoke.

"I don't want to speak with you anymore. Let's go!" I took the initiative to go inside, but she blocked my path and rested her palms on my chest.

"Wait Alpha, Think twice. This is a good opportunity to expand your authority and territory"

I had enough. I squeezed her neck and brought her face closer to me.

"Do not touch me! If I ever see your face in my mansion again, then it will be the last day you are taking breaths on this earth!" I pushed her away and she started to cough.

On the way back to the discussion room, we met Hattie.

"Hi, Elanor. Is everything all right?" When Hattie saw us and understood that something had happened between us.

"Hattie, this is none of your business" I threatened her also.

"Elanor, are you all right? What happened there?" She started to show her empathy for that greedy woman.

"You can't be nice to your people and you are showing empathy for her?" I growled at Hattie.

"Hattie, I was being nice to him, but he was so mean and rude to me" Elanor started to get cute with Hattie. It was a moment when two venomous women met.

"I don't have time for your drama. Elanor, come quickly. I will speak to your father and you should leave the premises immediately" I said.

"Brother, you are being so rude to your future Luna. Elanor was a nice girl" Hattie was giving reasons.

"Hattie, do not push my buttons!" I growled at her and walked to the room where my parents and Alpha Raven were discussing.

"Am I interrupting your discussion?" I barged into the room slamming the door. Their heads turned on me with a surprise and Elanor entered the room and quickly ran towards her father with her fake tears. I was sure that I didn't squeeze her neck with much pressure. I just wanted to make her scared of me.

"Father, he was so rude to me!" Elanor was showing her fake tears.

"What's wrong my sweetheart?" Alpha Raven cuddled her.

"She has a mate!" When I declared about that my father and my mother seemed surprised, but Mother was calm.

"Alpha Theron. We can discuss about this" Alpha Raven said.

"There's nothing to talk Alpha Raven. How could you do this to your daughter when she has already a mate and here you want her to marry me? You are so greedy for power!" When I said at last Alpha Raven stood up from his place so as the mother and the father.

"Theron, is this the way you address another Alpha? They are our guests" Mother said.

"Mother, pardon me, but I didn't expect this from Alpha Raven. I don't want to speak about this. I am leaving!" I turned to go when Alpha Raven spoke.

"I never treated disrespectfully like this before. I came here to speak about your and Elanor's marriage. This will bring advantages for both packs"

"I don't do relationships for advantages Alpha Raven. I do them with my heart. I am glad that this never happened with a power greedy family like you. It will be better to stay alone rather than marry a woman like Elanor!" Conry sighed a breath of satisfaction. The heated argument was brining warmth to the chilling room.

"That's enough! I had enough of insult!" Alpha Raven threw the chair away. Mother was rolling her eyes on me.

"Alpha Raven, I beg your pardon on behalf of Theron. We will discuss this later!" Mother said.

"Mother, you can discuss anything about this with them any time, but I am not involved in this matter anymore!" I sealed the conversation from my side and rushed out.

I wanted to take deep breaths and calm down myself. I was sickened about how people run behind the power. During the last two weeks, I was tired of doing the Alpha duties. Most of the time I thought that if I were to belong to a normal wolf family, my life would be easier than this. Think for a while, when your head was filled with the responsibility of more than a thousand lives including both humans and wolves.

"Feeling better now?" Conry mind-linked me.

"I don't want to be involved in fights with other packs Conry. I hope the warmth of this argument will slowly move away" I said with a deep sigh.

"We couldn't go for a run these last few days. Shall we?" His suggestion was amazing.

"Great. We will go around the pack territory and have a bath at the lake" Conry was overjoyed to hear it.

I saw Alpha Raven and Elanor leave the mansion and get into their vehicle. I didn't care about them, I didn't want to speak with anybody about this. at some point, I felt relief that Luna's matter was solved in a better way. Now I have a strong reason to reject her.

"Alpha, is everything all right?" It was my Gamma Nico.

"Nothing Nico. I am fine. Conry and I need a run" I sighed brushing my hair from my fingertips.

"Do you want me to come with you?" More than the Beta Remus, Nico was concerned about my safety. Gamma wolves are more suitable for battlefields. They are like killing machines with larger claws.

"No need Nico. I am fine. If I don't come back after about two hours, then come. My last destination will be the pack lake" saying I released my tied hair and ran towards the tree line to shift into Conry.

I soon shifted to my wolf. I feel he was running keeping his large and strong paws on the ground. Before I became the Alpha, we used to have a run everyday morning and night with my Beta and Gamma. I am still getting used to it, when I used to manage my time with the duties I'll be able to give opportunities to Conry.

"Isn't it great? The chilling wind and only the two of us are here" I saw his fur was messed with the chilling wind outside. His heartbeat was rising and Conry was running like there was no tomorrow.

Suddenly we saw in our thief's eye that something was rushing passing us, faster than us.

"What was that?" Conry stopped on the way and looked here and there with confusion. He sniffed in the air deeply.

"Conry, what was that? Do you feel something?" I asked.

"Nothing, I feel just the empty air" It didn't pass a second again something was rushed from the left side of us. It was too fast and disappeared at the speed of an arrow.

"Was someone playing with us? We are still in our territory, we didn't cross the border" Conry said and he growled.

Again, that thing rushed from our left side and this time I saw a green glowing light with it and it vanished towards the opposite side of our direction.

"Let's go, Conry. We should see for it"

"Could be a wild animal!" Conry said.

"If it was a wild animal, then you must smell it and who was the wild animal running with a green light on its' body?" Conry started to run towards where the thing vanished and soon we saw the green light and Conry started to follow it.

The light was far away ahead from us. I wonder what kind of an animal can run this much faster. However, we were getting closer to the lake when the light disappeared suddenly.

"Where the hell did it go?" Conry stopped at his place. The speed he came and stopped suddenly made us fall a little on the lake bank and the black mud covered our body.

"Now we have to take a bath, Conry!" I said. But I saw that he was so focused and looking at something.

Someone was in the lake alone. Was that a wolf? The figure was not clear, but I saw that it was a human form. Since it was not clear to me, I wanted to see who it was I climbed a little higher place.

It was Tevena! She was bathing alone. I saw her clothes on the lakebank.

"Wasn't that human girl who came to the library?" Conry asked.

"Yes, she was the one" She felt something and looked here and there. We quickly covered ourselves behind a large tree and peeked after a few seconds.

She was playing with the water. I closely looked at the surroundings and sniffed. There was no one in the area. Her long hair was wet and glued to her back. She was humming a song. Did her parents send her alone to the lake? This was not a good time for a human girl to roam alone.

"She was amazing to watch!" When Conry said I felt ashamed of watching a woman bathing alone.

"I think we should shift" At some point, I didn't want Conry to look at her.

"Come on Theron, don't be so jealous. It's a good day for us" Without taking a minute I shifted to my human form and stayed still.

She was swimming leisurely. I could see her way better if the moonlight was here. The moon was covered with clouds. Suddenly to my surprise, the clouds moved away and the moonlight started to touch the ground. The lake water and her skin started to shine.

Now I could see her properly. Though she was eighteen, her curves were perfect. I could see her perfectly bloomed breasts. My throat dried and I licked my lips. I have seen enough naked wolves when they shift, but I never felt a hotness like this before. I kept two feet ahead to see her closely. She was mouthwatering. Just like her words, her features were also sharp.

"Now who was greedy to watch a woman taking a bath?" Conry said with a chuckle. I was surprised to see that my lower part was sore and my heartbeat was gradually increasing.

Suddenly, my leg slipped and I tried my best to hold the tree, but unfortunately, I fell into the water. I felt like someone pushed me from behind and I fell exactly the spot where Tevena was bathing splashing a huge amount of water.
