CHAPTER 10 – The fighter in my home

Theron's POV

I got late to wake up. I fell into a deep sleep last night and it was the most amazing sleep I had after some time. I checked the time to find that it was seven in the morning. I usually wake up before six.

"Last night was amazing!" Conry woke up his voice. I feel he was calm and fresh today more than the other days.

"What's the reason for that?" I knew what he was talking about, but I wanted to hear it from him.

"Don't be a pup, we both know that what happened with the human girl. You were luring her like a greedy wolf" I felt ashamed.

"I didn't, you were the one who was always admiring her," I said standing up in my naked figure. I saw my morning erection, luckily, she didn't see my private parts. Conry was sheepishly chuckling inside.

"I know you felt great when she was on our back. She was fragile like a feather. I didn't feel a weight off her and when she was hugging my neck I felt tickled" I felt jealous when Conry was admiring her.

"Why are you so admiring her every time? We have taken people on our backs sometimes when they need help. You never overjoyed like today" I said while entering the bathroom.

"I like her. When she was around, I felt joy and stress-free. I like the way she speaks back to you, but still, she respects you. She is not a girl who was looking to hang on your back because of being the Alpha" When Conry said I nodded. He was right about everything.

I have to go to the school today for a teachers' meeting. I was planning to address treating equally to humans and wolves. I got prepared since the meeting was at nine in the morning in the staff room of the teachers.

"Good morning Father" I walk into the breakfast table greeting the father. I saw the mother was also sitting applying butter to her bread without looking at me. She was angry with me after Alpha Raven's incident.

"Good morning Theron!" Father greeted me and showed the mother with his eyes.

"Good morning Mother" I hugged her from her behind. She didn't take care of me. Hattie and Timothy had already gone to the school.

"You seem to be going somewhere," Father asked.

"Yes, I have to address teachers at the school regarding a few issues" I served breakfast to my plate and started to have it quickly.

"That's good. I have kept a few letters on your office table. Check on them when you are free" Father said. There was nothing much to talk about at the breakfast table. I quickly finished the breakfast and walked into the vehicle.

"Alpha, I'll be coming with you" Beta Remus came in to my assistance.

"Remus, I am not a baby man. I can go alone, and I am going to the school. There's no danger there" I said.

"Still I need to come. The threat could be hiding anywhere and coming out wearing any mask. My father protected your father when he was the Beta, not it's my responsibility to protect you" Remus said.

"Let's go then, I am already late" I looked at my watch and said. He took the wheels and drove towards the school. We parked the vehicle at the parking lot where reserved for me and I walked into the principal's office.

"Good morning Alpha. Please come!" He welcomed me with a smile.

"Good morning, is everyone there?" I asked adjusting my overcoat.

"Yes, shall we proceed then?" He said.

"Before that, I need to talk to you about something very important," I said with a firm voice.

"What is it Alpha?" His expression changed into a serious one.

"Well, through a solid channel, I got to know that the school has two policies for humans and wolves. Is that true?" I raised the middle of my forehead and asked.

"Alpha, I beg your pardon, but I don't understand what you say," The principal said.

"I mean, I heard that humans were getting ill-treated here while the wolves are benefitting. Was that true?"

"Alpha, I would be glad if you could explain it a little"

"The school has all two types of students, humans, and wolves, but recently I've heard that human students are getting punished and detention, but not the wolves. Do you know something regarding that?" When I say so, his face turns into a questioning look.

"Alpha, I have no idea about that, but I can do a look about this," He said.

"Very well. Anyway, I am going to address this matter also with the teachers. Let's see their response" We both left the room to walk toward the teachers' room when I accidently saw her.

She was with another girl and a boy and was crying. Others were holding from her either side and she was holding her left cheek.

"Alpha, is everything all right?" I heard the principal was asking, but I was distracted by what I was seeing.

"You go ahead, I will come. Give me a few minutes" I said without breaking my gaze on Tevena. The principal left the place.

"That girl, what's wrong with her? why can't they leave Tevena alone?" I heard the other girl was cursing at someone.

"I don't understand why anyone was not taking any action against her?" The boy said.

I cleared my throat and they turned and saw me.

"Alpha!" the three of them bowed to me.

"What happened Tevena? Why are you crying?" When I called her name the other two looked at me with a surprise. Tevena was holding her left cheek and wiped her nose and tears.

"Nothing Alpha, I just fell on the ground!" Tevena said and the other two looked at Tevena with disbelief.

I walked closer to them folded my arms on my back and raised my chin a little giving my Alpha vibe to them.

"Since when did you start to lie Tevena?" I asked and Tevena looked down.

"I am not lying Alpha. I fell when I was trying to climb the stairs" Her voice was low and broken.

"Crying is not suitable for her. Her face looks terrible!" Conry groaned from inside.

"Conry, what is wrong with you? She is a human girl, don't show so much interest in her" I cut the mind link since I don't have much time to speak with him.

While I was mind linking Conry, I saw that the other girl said something to Tevena and Tevena nodded her head in no.

"Alpha, pardon us, but I need to see the nurse and go back to the classroom," Tevena said.

"Let me see your wound" I forwarded my hand to see her cheek, but she quickly jumped back.

"Alpha, what are you doing? If anyone saw you touching me, I would be banished from the school and the pack also" Tevena said.

"No one is going to banish you. I am the Alpha, what kind of a crazy thought was that? Let me see" I forcefully moved her hand.

I froze for a few seconds. I identified that it was not a scar that happened due to falling on stairs. It was a punch mark! Someone had hardly punched her!

"Who punched you?" I felt Conry was getting uneasy.

"It was..."

"Nothing, no one punched me" Tevena's friend tried to say something to me, but Tevena stopped her rolling her eyes on her friend.

"Fine. I'll find out who did this to you. Now go to the nurse and make sure to keep an ice bag on the cheek." I said turning to go.

I didn't have much time for the interrogation. I had to go to the teacher's meeting. My mind was not in the meeting. Conry didn't speak to me, but I feel that he was feeling uneasy and he was walking here and there.

Why are we worrying about this human girl? We met her a few days back, and she was getting closer to me like no one before. In my life, a single wolf or a human girl did not come closer like Tevena.

"Alpha, it's your turn to address them" Then the principal's words made me come back to my train of thoughts.

I started to address the meeting. Every section head was there with senior teachers and teachers who had free periods also attended the meeting.

"First of all, I would like to thank you all for coming to the meeting. I will quickly address you and release you for your duties" I started the meeting.

I discussed the future projects related to the school, expanding the school since the number of students was increasing, the expenses of the school, and a plan to increase our funds.

"Now listen everyone, I have a very important matter to discuss. This was already discussed with the principal also"

"Through a solid channel, I've got to know that few of you were treating human students unfairly." The silence of the room started to break with the whispers.

"I am not accusing you all are doing it, but some of you and I know that this information was not a lie! I know that you all also know that" Their faces turned into serious ones.

"Look, I am not going to ask who is doing this and why. I want to say that whether a human or a wolf, you are a teacher and they are students. They come to study. It's your responsibility to discipline them without looking at the cast. If you continue this behavior, I am sure that a feud between humans and wolves will happen definitely. The friendship between the two parties coming from centuries, will break!" I roamed my eyes all over the room.

"As your Alpha, I am requesting you to treat them equally. If they do a misconduct, punish them without looking at the cast. If they do good, appreciate them also. Teachers are their second parents, so treating them equally was the message I want to give you all through this meeting!" I smile softly.

"What about the incident happened in the morning?" One female teacher raised a question while sitting in her place. She was a human!

"What happened today? I don't know anything; would you please care to explain to me, ma'am?" I politely asked.

"Alpha, I think it's not necessary to address publicly," The principal said and I saw that the teacher who asked the question smiling mockingly.

"No, I think she has an important something to say. Ma'am, please go ahead" I asked.

"A student was punched across the face of another student!"

Was she speaking about the incident of Tevena? Great! I also want to know what happened and who did it.

"Like who ma'am?" I asked.

"Alpha, leave it. We will handle it, besides, they are teenagers and these kinds of small fights are regularly happening and the next day they become good friends again" I felt the principal was covering something.

"I appreciate it if you could stay silent until she finishes her part" I gave a firm look to the principal.

"And how can you justify these things putting into the being teenager account? Punching and fighting is not a good thing to encourage!" I clenched my jaw annoyingly.

"Ma'am, please continue," I asked her.

"As you can see Alpha, it was trying to cover by many people. I appreciate you addressing this issue" She gave me a grateful smile.

"Ma'am, I appreciate it if you could tell me who was involved in the fight, why did they it and who are those kids?" I wanted to know.

"Alpha it has happened between a wolf girl and a human girl. According to my knowledge, there was no reason. The human girl was innocent and she didn't do anything, the wolf girl was a trouble maker and I have seen her troubling many human students" She further said.

"Who is this wolf girl? I want to see her!" I said with a frown on my forehead.

"Alpha you see her every day in your house" The rhythm of my heartbeat started to change and Conry seemed attentive.

"I didn't get your point ma'am"

"It's your sister! Hattie Hardolf!" A thunder hit on my head.
