CHAPTER 07 – Meeting the Future Luna

Theron's POV

I was inspecting the training of the newly appointed warriors when Hattie appeared suddenly with a few friends of hers. Timothy, my younger brother, sat next to me. I asked him to watch how warriors get trained. He needs to get ready to become an Alpha, if anything happened to me Father might give him a new pack to rule. Timothy and Hattie were studying in the same class. This would be a perfect moment to ask about Hattie.

"Timothy, are you enjoying the show?" I slowly dragged myself towards him. The she-wolves training on the other side were waving their hands at me. I simply gave them a soft smile.

"Brother, why are they all so attracted to you? I mean, I also look like you" Timothy was so jealous.

"You are like me, but not me. That's why I ask you to do your studies well and do your training well. Then girls will be lineup for you" I hit on his shoulder.

"You know I am doing my studies well, why don't you ask about Hattie's studies and how was she doing in school?" He complained to me and he brought up the topic exactly I wanted.

"You tell me, how was she doing in the school? You were the one staying with her at the school." I slowly pushed Timothy to where I wanted.

"Don't talk about her brother. She was the evil witch in the school!" Timothy said.

"What do you mean? Did she bully others? Like blowing air off other's bicycles?" I perfectly matched the example.

"What?" Timothy knew that the words that slipped from his mouth wouldn't come back.

"I mean, she was....She was....." Timothy was stuttering.

"She was what Timothy? Don't lie to me now" When he started to change the topic I strictly said.

"Who said about blowing air?" he asked.

"Doesn't matter, so it's true! Right?" Timothy was trapped.

"Brother, please don't tell Hattie that I said anything about her. She threatened me not to tell anything to you" Timothy said with a lower voice.

"Shame on you Timothy. Is this how being you going to handle future Alpha duties? Hiding like a coward" I gritted my teeth.

"You two feel ashamed of yourself, being in the Alpha family and bullying others. You must act to be an example to others"

"Shhh, brother keep quiet. If she heard....."

"I don't care, I am not afraid of her. You should prevent her from doing these things. Shame on you Timothy!" I stood up with my clenched jaw and walked towards Hattie.

"Brother, no, please. I will speak to her" Timothy stopped me on the way, but I pushed his hand away.

"You had enough time to stop her Timothy. At least, you should have told me. Tell me, because of her how many students got detained?" I folded my arms to my back and asked. Timothy lowered his head showing that he felt the blame and accepted the guilt.

"You stay and watch the training, I am going to talk to Hattie." I turned to go and Timothy suddenly called me.

"Brother, I know you are going to storm on her, so I should say that when Tevena was here, she shut the door in the library!" When Timothy said so I felt disappointed about Hattie.

"I knew it. Why are you telling me now?" I asked.

"I never thought about going against her and I never understood my position and being responsible!" I looked at Timothy and went away.

"Hattie. I need to speak with you" I walked closer to her friend's circle and said.

"Not now brother, I am...."

"Now!" When I exclaimed with my Alpha voice her friends startled and vanished in the wind leaving Hattie alone.

"Brother, you ruined my game!" She complained with her pouted lips.

"What about you ruining others' lives?"

"What do you mean by that?" she frowns her forehead and asked.

"You know what I meant Hattie? I know what you are doing in school. You bully others, you are a disrespect to the Alpha family" My voice was laced with disappointment.

"I don't know what you are talking about" She hid her eyes from me.

"You shut the library door when Tevena was inside?" When I accused her, her eyes widened.

"Did that b*tch tell you?"

"So, it's true. You did it!" I clenched my fists.

"She was gonna die because of Hattie!" Conry reminded me.

"Hattie, it doesn't matter who and what said, the point is being in the Alpha family you can't behave like this. We should treat everyone equally. Do not repeat your actions or else the consequences will not be sweet!" I showed my index finger to her and she lowered her head.

"Hattie, listen, I don't want to advise my siblings or punish them strictly. I want you all to feel the responsibility of belonging to the Alpha family" Hattie was still lowering her head.

"I will try my best to behave well in the future, Alpha!" She turned her back to me. I know she feels hurt.

I sighed deeply and looked at the playground where the kids were playing. Cubs and human kids were playing together. Being a kid is the best thing in the era of your life. There's no responsibility, no plans, no rivals. I hope the upcoming generations will be friendlier.

"What is our Alpha doing looking at the kids?" It was Mother.

"What a pleasant surprise, my beautiful mother has kept her foot on the training ground" I hugged her and she kissed my cheeks.

"Well, my son was too busy with his Alpha duties and I had to come to see him. I am afraid that I will have to make an appointment to see you when you get married" When she said I smiled gently. I know she was worried about my marriage, my mate and my Luna.

"Don't worry Mother, I have enough time" I said.

"No, you don't Theron. You are already 21, you spent many years without a mate son. Look at your Beta and Gamma, they already found their mates. Your Gamma, Nico is in Hattie and Timothy's class. He found his mate recently" Mother started the same complaint like every day.

"Mother, please can we speak something else? This topic is irritating to me now" I said sighing.

"No, this is the most important topic of a wolve's life. Find your mate, Luna, and make a family" She further said.

"I know Mother, but why can't I take my time? I feel that I will soon find her" I said.

"Alpha Raven has informed me that he will come tonight with his daughter!" When Mother said my eyes widened.

"What? He should ask me, I am the Alpha now!" I declared.

"Yes, I know, but since you reject his visit with her daughter every time, this time he reached out to us directly avoiding you," Mother said.

"I don't like her! Tell her that we will be waiting for our mate!" Conry mind-linked me.

"Then, I won't stay to meet him. He should know the line of authority first! If he doesn't respect me, then I won't respect him in return!" I was finding reasons to avoid the Alpha Raven and his daughter.

"Theron, just for one time please properly meet her. Then you decide. Who knows that there's no mate for you? You can make her your Luna and...."

"What if I found my mate after I got married to her?" I asked the mother. She was speechless with my question.

"We can decide that later, first you meet and talk to her!" I sighed. I knew that tonight I wouldn't be able to run away from the mother.

"If that's what you want Mother, fine. I am ready to meet her" I finally waved the white flag surrendering myself to the mother.

"You should reject her proposal I am not ready to accept that wh*re as our mate or Luna!" Conry was determined.

"You heard me rejecting the mother, but I don't want to hurt her feelings. She was worried as a mother. We will meet her tonight and just talk to her" I said.

"I am not going to talk to her and neither I like her!" Conry was determined.

"You are so stubborn, Conry. Behave well with Alpha Raven" I said.

"He should know that we don't like her" I smile softly.

"By the way, why did you feel uncomfortable that day you said you were feeling better as soon as we found Tevena" I couldn't talk to him about that because I was so busy with the Alpha duties.

"Yes, I never felt that before. I felt uncomfortable, like someone was chalking me and when we found the human girl and saw that she was fine, I also started to feel fine. Do you think there's a connection?" He briefed me.

"I don't think so, Conry. She is a human and you know we are supposed to tie with a wolf only" I said.

"I know that, but I like her. She was an amazing female. I felt her when you were taking her into your arms" Conry said.

"Conry, I was concerned because she was unconscious when we found her. I don't want any unnecessary problems and I don't want people to say that Alpha was a heartless person" I justified my actions.

"Could be anything from your side, but she was a decent and nice female to talk and spend time with. She never looked at us greedily and I like her being annoying to you" Conry chuckled.

"Oh, come on, are you on my side or her side? Come on, we have to get ready to meet our future Luna!" I said and Conry growled at me.

In the evening Alpha Raven and Elanor, her daughter came to the mansion. Alpha Raven's mate died a few years back because of a rare illness. There was a rumor saying that a witch had cursed her. Alpha Raven almost lost his senses when his mate died. I was a high school boy when we attended the funeral. I saw Elanor who said. She was 16 and two years younger than me.

At that time, she looked like a younger girl, but today she seems a hot woman. She was wearing a red mid-thigh dress showing all her thighs and her cleavage was visible with the deep V-neck of the dress.

"Look at the way she dressed and looked at us like she wants to eat you. Careful dealing with this woman!"

"Theron, why don't you and Elanor go outside and talk to each other" Mother threw the bomb on me. If I rejected this, it wouldn't be a thing done by a gentlemen.

"Shall we?" that was the only thing she needed from my side and she quickly stood up. It was like she waited until I invited her.

As soon as we came outside she hanged on my neck. It was unexpected and Conry growled at her.

"Theron, baby. Why did your wolf growl at me? I thought you two were impatient for me" I slowly removed her wrapped hands from my neck. I wanted to run away as long as I didn't see her. She was looking at me biting her lower lips.

"Elanor, we both know that we are not the destined mates. My wolf Conry was waiting for his true mate. He doesn't like when other she-wolves come closer to us. I am determined to meet you and your father because my mother asked me to. Otherwise I and Conry both looking for our mate" I explained to her briefly.

"Theron, you and your wolf are such a traditional one. Who cares about this destined mate thing? Now look at me. I have a mate! an Omega. Do I care about it?" Her words made me surprised. I never knew that she had a mate!
