Chapter 8 THE VISIT

EPISODE EIGHT

But before I could lie on the bed, I heard a knock on the door. "Roseline, get the door", my mum shouted from the kitchen. " I am coming, please hold on" I opened the door and saw a handsome face staring at me. Louis???Ohh my God, it's Louis, I screamed at the back of my mind. How could someone be this handsome? I got lost for a moment but I later realized. Emm, hi, hold on, I meant come in" I stammered. " Hi, Rose, sorry I came to visit you unannounced, I just decided to pay you a surprise visit." Louis said." Ohh, that's nice come in" I said as I ushered him in. " Wow, nice place" he said. " Thanks, " I answered. " And who is this young woman" my mum asked as she came out of the kitchen. She must be surprised because a guy has never visited me before. " Mum, meet Louis, my classmate and friend and Louis, meet my sweet mum." " I said as I introduced them to each other. They exchanged pleasantries and mum went back you the kitchen.

After she left the living room, everywhere suddenly became quiet. I was so nervous and I didn't even know why. " So how is your Sunday going? " Louis asked me trying to start a conservation. At least, he is making efforts. " My Sunday is fine, I was just watching videos before you came, nothing much though but I was thinking..." I haven't completed my statement when I heard my mum calling me. " Rose, Rose,take this food, serve Louis, here's yours. I know I am not supposed to leave two teenagers alone but I actually have some important works to do upstairs, so you both should not try anything funny, I would not be watching. " Mummmmm" I pouted." He's just my friend."Well he's the first guy to visit you and he's quite good looking " she said. "Just go mum". I said as I pushed her gently.

I went back to the living room to join Louis. " Here's your food. "I said as I served him. " Thanks Roseline" he responded. It feels so good to hear him call my full name. " I came here because I was bored, Sunday is usually boring to me, so I decided to visit you and have a little chit chat before returning to my place. " he said. " Yeah, about that, I have been meaning to ask, why do you live alone, what about your parents?" I asked curiously. " Well, I have parents, they are not here though, they are abroad.,' he said. " Abroad?"I asked." They are both in Korea. I just decided to come to America. I really can't tell you more than this." He explained as he shrugged his shoulders. " That explains it, Koreans are always cute, no wonder you are so...." I trailed off, I was going to say he was handsome but I can't just tell him that. " "So you think I am handsome? " he asked. Is this guy a mind reader or what? " When? No , I didn't say that. " I defended myself." But you just said Koreans are cute and I am a Korean" he replied, teasing me. " That's not what I meant "I said. " Then, why are you all red" he asked. " It's my makeup". I said. I'm such a bad liar. "You are so funny" he said as he laughed.

I already knew that he is Korean but I wish I could know more about him. " Louis, explain better, why did your parents allow you come you America alone without even a guardian?" I asked. " Well, there are reasons behind everything but I'm sorry I can't tell you that yet and besides I am not a kid like you." He said. " Me? A kid? You are not serious" I said laughing. " I am older than you" he replied smiling. " Whatever" I said as I folded my arms playfully.

LOUIS POV

Rose is so inquisitive, I really can't tell her much about me yet. I really wish to I just can't. I can't risk it, what if she tells everyone? I want to trust her but I have to watch her more. I think she likes me, I'm not sure though, even if she really likes me, it's a pity that the feelings can't be reciprocated. I don't believe in love, it's just an illusion. By the way, she looks really hot in her casual outfit. What am I even saying? Well, I don't think it's bad to admire her outfit. Louis, which university are you planning to attend? " she asked. Well, I really like our school's university, so I don't think I am changing" I answered. " Yeah me too, Deluxe University is really good, the last time we went on an excursion to the place, I was fascinated." she answered. " So Deluxe it is" I said.

We watched a movie and played some games too. Being with Rose can be really fun. At school and any other place, I am usually very cold hearted. It's just who I am. But with Rose, no matter how I try to mask my expression, it never works. She's just different, maybe because she was the first person I related to at school, I am just so free with her. I looked at the time, write, the hours is gone already." Rose, time is far spent, I need to go home" I announced. " Really? Time flies so far, let me see you off, it was really nice to have you here today, I didn't expect the visit". she said. Even I don't know why I came here, my legs just carried me here. " Yeah, it was really nice, my regards to your mum" I said as I stood outside the gate. " Yeah, bye see you at school tomorrow" she said. I got home feeling less bored.

I had a shower and decided to do what I love most; painting. I love to paint so much, it has been my favorite activity since I was a child. My cellphone vibrated in my pocket. I frowned as I looked at the caller's ID . " Yes?" I asked. " You think you are smart, you are just a stupid, uncultured boy who thinks he could eat his cake and have it. You can't run for long, come and let's finish...." I didn't allow the statement to be complete when I hung up."

AUTHOR'S POV

As Louis dropped the phone, his face hardened and his aura changed. He balled his fist and closed his eyes.

Meanwhile, in another country, a young man in his early twenties could be seen receiving a phone call. He dropped there phone, exuding a powerful aura. Tall, a curly dark hair, perfectly chiseled jawline, strong abs, grey eyes, long lashes, this man's face and body is perfection. " How dare that brat, that son of a whore hang up while I was talking to him? How dare he!!! he said as he banged his fist on the table.
