Chapter 3 HIS ARRIVAL

EPISODE THREE

He doesn't look familiar to me at all, I don't think I have met him before. " It's fine, I should be the one apologizing for not looking at where I was going", he said. " How can someone's voice be this lovely, his accent is nice too", I thought to myself. I could feel my heart beating fast for no reason. "Yeah, no problem, are you a new student,? You don't look familiar"I asked him, trying not to get lost . His face is screaming perfection. " Yes, I am a new student, I just resumed this morning and I was directed to Class 12 but I missed my way", he said. "Ohh, you are in my class, I am also in Class 12 ", I said. "That's nice, I am Louis Lynch and you?", He asked. "I am Roseline Martina but you can call me Rose" ,I said. "Nice to meet you Rose ,can you please lead me to the class, if you don't mind", he asked. "Sure, I was on my way there before we bumped into each other " I said. "Okay, sorry about that anyways."He apologized. "It's fine", I said . " You are Korean right?" I asked him. He doesn't look like an American. He has this curly hair and cute face like k-pop idols. " Yeah, I am a Korean. I just decided to study here. " He replied. " Wow, that's great. You will love America" I replied as we walked on.He smiled and I could see his cute dimples. He is really handsome.

I took him to class, he introduced himself and took a empty seat.

"Damn , he's so cute "

"Wow, his accent is so unique"

"Very handsome , he looks like a Korean actor.

Look at his curly hair.

There were whispers everywhere. The girls were all over him, introducing themselves and trying to be his friend. I just rolled my eyes as I gestured him to leave that seat and take another empty seat close to me. The reason is because that sea belongs to Susan's boyfriend, James. The number one bully of the class. "Yes, that's the only reason I told me to seat by my side", I convinced myself. Some of the girls hissed, obviously jealous, who cares? Susan couldn't take her eyes off him but there's nothing she could do, she has a boyfriend already.

Class went well, I and Louis have already become pretty close by the end of the day. I have noticed he doesn't talk much and he can be very cold sometimes especially to other students. We haven't written much notes this session , so he borrowed some of my notes and I helped him complete the rest of them. We have also gotten to know each other better. He's eighteen presently but would be nineteen in a month time. I told him that he's already nineteen but he disagreed saying that since his birthday is in a month time , he still eighteen. I didn't even know he was older than me. Well,he didn't really say much about his background. He had an older brother and sister. I envy him for that . I wish I had a sibling too but it is what it is .

I and Louis went home together, he told me he moved into my neighbourhood a week ago and his house is just a few blocks from mine. He lives alone though, I wonder why. He escorted me to my doorstep and went to his house. I really wish to see his house but later, I guess. I got inside and saw that my mum was home already. She usually comes in later than me, s o why is she home now? "Welcome home sweetheart", my mum said to me beaming with smiles. "Good afternoon mum" I greeted as I hugged her. "Why are you home s early, I hope everything is fine?", I asked. "It is more than fine my dear, I came home as early as I could to celebrate " she said happily . "Mum, tell me what's going on. What exactly are we celebrating " I asked impatiently. " Calm down dear, let me go get some cookies and chilled pineapple juice, because this gist needs refreshments. "This suspense is killing mum, tell me already", I shouted. "Okay, okay, I would tell you", she said as she dropped the refreshments on the table. " I just got awarded with a contract", she screamed. " Wow mum, congratulations", I said. " Yes baby, I received a call this morning from ASRS", she said excitedly. The ASRS is one of the biggest reality tv show. It's a reality show for the American stars. A big show where the top American celebrities are featured . " Wow mum, that's huge" I said. " My company has been chosen to make the dresses of the celebrities in dollars till the show ends. ", she said as she showed me the cheque she was given today. " They've started paying you already? And oh my goodness, how many zeros? Three hundred thousand dollars" I screamed. " Yes, I decided to collect the payment monthly instead of daily since the show is lasting for four months, we are going to be millionaires in dollars." She said. I stood up and danced happily, she joined me and the home was filled with laughter.

I could not sleep a wink. How can I sleep, when we are going to be billionaires. Yes , we were wealthy but like I said in the beginning, we are not the "top- rich" freaks but now, we are filthy rich. Moreso, I am the only child, I am so lucky . Our lives changed in a blink of an eye. I am so happy, who wouldn't be?A semi god now attends my school and my mum was just awarded a contract. Isn't life sweet? I rolled on the bed and I soon fell asleep with a smile on my face.
