Chapter 2 FIRST SIGHT

EPISODE TWO

Just as I wanted to settle down to do my assignment, I heard a knock on the door, I guess mom is home already. "Hey baby", my mum said as she sat on the sofa. " How are you doing mum, how was work", I asked. " It was fine, how was your day as well?" She asked. "Well, it went well but it was hectic, a beauty pageant contest is coming up", I said " Wow, that's really nice, you are meant to be happy , why are you down?" She asked. She knew that I usually love things like this, so she was expecting me to be happy"

Well, I thought I and Paige could contest as a team but the school authorities didn't allow it , so she's going to be my opponent mum ", I said in one breath. " Calm down Roseline, I understand you, you can't always expect things to come just the way you want it", my mum said. " What is her position in class?" She asked. " Well , she usually comes first" I answered. " What about you? " She asked. " Emm, 15th", I answered. " You see, both of you are in a class of forty students , she usually comes first and you are in the 15th position, does that make both of you enemies? " She asked. " No mum", I answered. " So , just because you are going to contest with her doesn't make both of you enemies, instead you can support each other and hope for the best", she advised. " Thanks mum, I really appreciate ", I said. I felt relieved knowing that it won't make me look like a bad person if she is my opponent in the contest. My mum is really the best. She has always been a great adviser. I wonder what I would do without her. Since that issue is resolved, I need to bring my "A" games on.

After dinner, I did some research on Oriflames Cosmetics and I was able to get the information I needed . I wrote out my plan on a piece of paper: getting banners, showing a practical example of how Oriflame works , and I even plan on getting a customized Oriflame designer dress to match my advertisment theme. I am really good at this but first I need my beauty sleep. It's late already. I packed my stuffs, had a shower , said my prayers . I looked around my room for a while and I was happy that my life was just so perfect. My mum doesn't even make me remember that I don't have a dad, she is always there for me. I smiled , adjusted my pillow and had a wonderful tour to Dreamland.

Time really flies! A week is gone and now it is just few days to the contest. The school is in an hustle and bustle atmosphere. There's no serious academic activity this week because the contest is on Friday. The girls are looking hot and dapper as most of them went for a makeover last weekend to prepare themselves for the competition. I can say that the guys are lucky right now, they are less busy. Though, some of them are helping the girls with their advertisment and promotion show, the rest of them are just having fun. Well, not for long, because the principal announced some days ago that the boys are also going to have a contest to choose the king of Deluxe. It would be coming up three days after the beauty pageant contest, then after the prefects selection would hold. It's really a busy week in DHS.

This is one of the reasons why I love DHS , it is very fun. There's a mixture of education and entertainment, no boring day at all. " Hi" I turned and saw Kelvin. Kelvin is my classmate and I knew he has always liked me but I'm not really feeling the sparks. He is a good guy but I feel like I want something more. " How's your preparation going? " He asked. " It's going well, I pray I win" I answered as I put my hands together dramatically. " Don't worry, you will " He replied " See you later" he said as he left

Paige was really mad at me when I told her that I can't drop out of the contest but she got over it and there was peace. In the contest, there would be three different themes for the dresses. The official theme, the party and glamour theme and the masquerade theme. I already have my official and party dresses ready but I had a hard time picking what to wear for the masquerade theme, after some time, I decided to go as a vampire princess. Something spooky yet fashionable. The dress would be ready in two days time. I have my Oriflames banner ready , the only thing left for me to do is to look for students to help me with the promotion show. I plan on doing it like a short commercial. Just as I was thinking of the students I would need, a junior student came to me, " Senior Rose", Maya called. Maya is one of the students I love most, she is so cute and lively, why didn't I think of her all this while. "Maya, Maya my pretty junior", I said as I touched her soft cheeks. " Senior Rose, my pretty senior", she said as we both giggled and went to the cafeteria. I told her about the promotion show and she agreed to help me. She brought me three of her classmates would also be part of my show.

After briefing them about my plans, I headed back to my class . I had almost reached my class when I bumped into someone. "I am so sorry , I didn't mean to...", I paused as I looked up at who I bumped into . A handsome, masculine face stared back at me. I looked at him and for that moment, it seemed like time stopped. He looked so heavenly like he was too handsome to be on this planet. His deep blue eyes stared back at me. His hair is so curly and dark and his lips...gosh who is this prince charming???
