Chapter 9 BUTTERFLIES

EPISODE NINE

AUTHOR'S POV

As Louis dropped the phone, his face hardened and his aura changed. He balled his fist and closed his eyes.

Meanwhile, In Korea, a young man in his early twenties could be seen receiving a phone call. He dropped there phone, exuding a powerful aura. Tall, a curly dark hair, perfectly chiseled jawline, strong abs, grey eyes, long lashes, this man's face and body is perfection. " How dare that brat, that son of a whore hang up while I was talking to him? How dare he!!! he said as he banged his fist on the table.

" Young master, is everything okay sir?" A maid asked as she heard him shout. With just one look from him , she apologized and scurried away.

In America ,

LOUIS POV

Everything went by so fast, and soon it was time for the promotional exam; well it isn't a promotional exam for me and my classmates since this is our last term in the school. "Hey Louis". Susan broke up with her boyfriend some weeks back and ever since then she had been making advances towards me. She annoys me a lot and her presence is enough to irritate me. I looked at her expressionlessly. " What?" I asked. " Well, the prom is coming up two weeks after our final exam, so I was thinking if could be my prom date." She said as she touched her hair repeatedly and winked at me. I stood up and stared straight at her, "you are not worth me, I can never ever be your date, go find your class." I told her and walked out of the class. I felt so disgusted, I have always believed that it's a guy's job to ask a girl out and not the other way round and even if a girl wants to ask me out, definitely not someone like Susan. I don't think I am going to attend prom since I don't have a date and I am not planning on getting one.

Everything was going well for Rose and her mum. Her mum got over the huge loss caused by the contract and moved on.

ROSE POV

The exam was finally over. I tried my best and I am really hoping for a good result. Deluxe University is strict with admission and I don't want to spend an extra year at home. I sat in the living room daydreaming and wishing Louis would take me as his prom date. It's not like he is close to any other person at school. I don't know what's stopping him. While I was thinking, I am saw my mum walking past me all dolled up, in an expensive black, sleeveless gown. No doubt, my mum is a very beautiful woman but she is not the type too dress up like she's going on a date except on formal occasions. " Mum, where are you going?" " Well, Mr Frank asked me to dinner, he is coming over to pick me soon. "She answered. " Mr Frank?? Since when did you guys get so close that he is taking you out for dinner" I asked quizzically. " Why are you questioning me? It's been so long since I went in a date" she said. "A date?" I asked with arched eyebrows. " I thought you both just wanted to grab dinner, why are you calling it a date?". I asked. " And what's a date Rose? Don't let me use all my energy to talk." She said as she sat on the sofa. I looked at her and I wasn't comfortable with this date scenario. It has been so long since she went out with a man. I am not used to this. After some minutes, at had a car horn outside the gate and simultaneously my mum got a call from her"date". " Bye Rose" she says as she kissed me.

I was home alone researching on trending outfits when my mind just wandered to Louis. How could an high school student live in such a large house all by himself without parents or guardians. I have never seen anyone visit him and he has also be never talked this me about his parents either. I didn't wait up for my mum, she already called that she would be a little late. I made my dinner, are and slept like a baby.

LOUIS POV

It's just a day to prom. My WhatsApp was buzzing with messages from different girls begging me to be their prom date. How unlucky they are, because I'm least interested in the prom. The general Whatsapp group chat for my class was also buzzing with messages as they were all excited about the prom. Some girls were arguing on whose dress is the most expensive and all. Since I'm not interested in it, I don't think there's any need for me to go.

I stood up and went to the bathroom to have my bath. I had not spent up to five minutes when I heard my phone ringing. I came out of the shower with a towel tired to my waist, my hair was dripping wet and so was my body. I checked the caller's ID and it was Rose. It was a video call and I didn't have time to get dressed or at least clean my body. I picked up the phone call and d her small cherry face popped up on the screen. I was expecting her to talk since she was the one that called but she just kept mute

ROSE POV

I decided to video call Louis to stylishly ask him about his preparation for prom. He didn't pick up the call on time. I was thinking of ending the call when he picked up. What I was seeing on the screen was almost too much . I was using a laptop which gave me a wider view. His chest was bare with water dripping from his hair. He was looking so hot and breathtaking. I could feel butterflies in my stomach. The image fit my laptop screen like a wallpaper. His abs are so well- defined. Gawd!!! This boy won't kill me. I didn't realize that I have been staring for sometime now. My brain was telling me to stop looking but my eyes were glued to the screen. "Looks like you don't have a reason for calling" I heard. " Ohh, emm, no o. " I muttered. Geez , why am I always embarrassing myself. I am very sure I won't be able to focus on the conversation if he doesn't put on some clothes but I can't tell him that. " Louis, you know what, I just wanted to greet you, later." I said as I cut the call rapidly without even giving him a chance to reply.
