Chapter 3 You are mine

Before she met with Frederick, she first met with Zayne Mac. He was Frederick's trusted aide and assistant.

In her previous life, he treated her very well and also defended her because of Frederick. However, it was also because of Frederick that she loathed him...

Moreover, she would stir up a mess every time she came to the company and Zayne would need to clean up after her.

Now that she had reincarnated, seeing him made her feel a heart-full of guilt.

Before he opened his mouth, she took the initiative first to smile and said, "Good morning, Assistant Zayne."

"Good, good morning." Zayne was extremely confused.

She had never greeted him in the past...

"Is Frederick here?" she continued to ask.

"Mr Frederick? ... Miss Sheryl, no, it should be Madam Sheryl now, you're looking for the President?" disbelief was written all over his face.

In the past, she would only call him by his full name, "Frederick Lance".

However, without waiting for her response, he answered, "The president is in a meeting..."

"Then I'll wait for him in the office. You may go on with what you were doing."

After she replied with a smile, she headed into the president's office. As she had realized her past mistakes, she told herself that she shouldn't bother Zayne too much, but he was so kind that he came in to serve her tea and some snacks from time to time.

And each time, he would be extra careful to not cause too much of a disturbance.

How could she not ever notice his kindness in her past life?

After waiting for three hours, Frederick finally came.

The moment he saw her, he immediately opened his mouth and said, "If you want to call off the engagement, forget about it."

Sheryl was speechless.

Did she leave that bad of an impression in Frederick's mind?

She put down the magazine in her hands, got up and stood in front of Frederick with a smile. "I'm here to have lunch with you. Who said I wanted to call off the engagement? I'm yours, and you're mine. This was already set in stone, so there's no need for any changes."

"Sheryl, don't even think about playing tricks in front of me! I won't back down from what I've said--"

She didn't wait for him to finish. She stood on his feet, pecked on his mouth and spoke in a coquettish way, "Do you believe me now? If you still don't believe me, I'm going to starve to death already."

But Frederick...

His expression, which was slightly angry, froze.

He turned around to look at Zayne. His eyes were moving, but his expression did not change.

What's up with them?

Although she had come up with different ways to call off the engagement in the past, and most of the time had been creating all kinds of resistance which always led to a mess, but kissing him on her own initiative had never happened before!

After she was slightly bewildered, she still felt a little guilty...

Fortunately, Frederick, who was in a daze came back to his senses immediately. He reached out to touch her forehead and asked, "What do you want to eat?"

"...!!!" Sheryl panicked a little, "I don't know what to eat either, you make the arrangements!"

He was silent for a long while before he took the car keys and left the office.

She tried to follow him, but his tall figure and long legs made it impossible. A crafty glint flashed in her eyes as she put her hand on Zayne's shoulder and asked, "Assistant Zayne, have you eaten yet? Do you want to join us?"

Of course, he wouldn't dare to do that!

Before Zayne could open his mouth to answer or avoid it, a murderous gaze fell upon him.

He was glaring at her, and also at Zayne.

Frederick turned around and took her away.

He pretended to be reserved, but in fact, who knew how much he valued her in his heart.

She smiled and didn't say anything,a hint of warmth wrapped her heart. In this life, she and Frederick loved each other deeply. The only thing that had to be resolved was her past behaviour that was always stubborn and opposing towards him. Whatever she did now would still always trigger his suspicion.
