Chapter 2 A Desire for Frederick

The scene of being poisoned at the verge of death, being framed and getting thrown into prison, the betrayal of her family and friends, and the face of a heartbroken Frederick Lance resurfaced in her mind.

The happiness that came with her reincarnation was washed away by the hatred.

She definitely wouldn't let Julia Simons control her new life and harm her again!

She walked to the door and let Julia in.

"Sheryl, are you alright? That Frederick, he didn't do anything to you, did he?" Julia asked in concern when she saw her.

Sheryl Taylor restrained her urge to kill and replied in a cold voice, "I'm fine."

"But, but you stayed with Frederick all night..."

"We're engaged. Can't we stay together?"

"No, no, that's not what I meant," Julia said as she examines Sheryl's condition. "What I meant was, you and Frederick... with what you had done, how could you be with William in the future?"

"So, you're here to persuade me to give up on William Gates?"

"Ah?" Julia was surprised.

Sheryl looked at her, barely containing her smile.

She had never truly liked William, it was just that she was deluded by Julia, causing her to misunderstand that Frederick was a vicious person and that William was her prince charming.

Julia had been eyeing on Frederick the entire time...

As expected, that woman came back to her senses and tried to persuade her once again, "Sheryl, why would I tell you to give up? He is the one who treats you well, while Frederick... Sheryl didn't falter and replied, "If there's nothing else, you may return. I'll go back as soon as I change my clothes."

Julia held back her emotions and forced a smile again, "Sheryl, I can see you're in a bad mood and I happen to have some time. How about we go shopping together? I saw a few new shops not long ago and their clothes are quite pretty."

Sheryl shook her head and refused with a smile, "I'm not in the mood."

Julia was sugar-coating her words, verbally she'd said she would go shopping with her, but in reality, she just wanted to use her as a cash machine.

It was a fact, not a guess.

After all, when she was unhappy in her past life, she'd still have to pay for Julia's bills in shopping malls.

After all, Julia was her 'best friend', and everything else was for her 'own good'?

Sheryl could not help but smile at her with disdain.

She didn't go home, or to the garden which Frederick prepared for her. Instead, she went straight to the Lance Group Inc.

Frederick should be at the company at this hour.

If she wants to have an intimate relationship with him, she'd have to get close to him first.

Moreover, she really wanted to see him.

Half an hour later, Sheryl stood at the entrance of the President's office on the top floor of the Lance Group Inc. She was his fiancée, definitely no one from the company would stop her.
