"It is just dinner," She muttered as she examined her outfit which consisted of denim Jeans and a crop top paired with black booths in the mirror. She even had light makeup on. Thankfully, Selena and some other girls in the Pack had gone shopping in the city a few days ago when Silvia was still unconscious. They bought brand new clothes for the whole park.
Silvia came downstairs to see Joshua, Selena, Connor, Riley, and Bianca waiting for her. They were all invited by Alpha Peter. The rest of the pack stayed behind since Silver Moon's packhouse could not accommodate them all.
"Let's go," Joshua said after giving her a once over, no doubt curious why she had makeup on. They left the packhouse and got into their new cars courtesy of Joshua. Although they could have easily run, they wanted to arrive in a fashionable manner. He had bought her and Selena new cars. Connor did the same for him and Riley.
They had many businesses in the city. They had many businesses in the city.
Joshua parked when they got to the Packhouse and they alighted their cars.
Silvia took a deep breath to prepare herself. She was nervous for some reason. They marched into the house with confidence.
The Packhouse went quiet when they walked in. Other wolves backed away from them. Some were afraid, others were just wary, and some stared at them in disdain.
They ignored all the stares and walked up to the Alpha and Luna on the dining table.
Silvia watched Theodore from her peripheral vision. She was slightly disappointed when he wasn't looking at her. She traced his gaze to see him ogling at another lady across the room.
Silvia watched the woman in curiosity. She had bright blonde hair and an adorable smile. She was currently laughing with a man beside her. Silvia frowned. Why was he staring at a mated wolf?
"You must be Silvia," A woman blocked Silvia's line of sight. The lady grabbed her hands and shook them, taking her aback, "It's nice to meet you. I'm Lizzy, Theodore's mother."
Silvia's eyes widened in surprise. She didn't expect Theodore's mother to be so young. The woman before her looked to be in her late thirties.
"It's nice to meet you, Ma'am." She blurted out.
"Ma'am? Call me mother. We are family now." Lizzy beamed, making Silvia smile. She was grateful that at least someone accepted her even if Theodore didn't. She had heard the murmurs that followed her as she went all day.
"Is that the Beta's mate?"
"Is she going to be the Beta female?"
"Who would want to mate with a terminator? They are cold-hearted."
"She doesn't look that special. I prefer Abigail."
Silvia had ignored them all. Now, she was glad that someone treated get nicely.
A man came up before the woman. He bore a striking resemblance to Theodore. She deduced he was his father. ''Good evening. I'm William. Nice to meet you, Silvia."
"You know my name?"
"Of course. You kicked the asses of two Wolves in front of the whole pack." William chuckled and Silvia laughed.
"I don't usually do that. They made me angry."
William patted her shoulders. "I would be angry too if my Pack was burnt down," He said. "Anyway, enjoy your evening. I hope to see you often."
"And come over to our house sometime. We should have a girl talk." Lizzy added.
Silvia flushed. "Thank you."
She could not stop the smile on her face as they left. She was happy her mate's parents liked her. Very happy.
"Your smile is blinding." Silvia rolled her eyes at Bianca. Bianca chuckled, "You seem happy?"
"Of course, I am. My mate's parents like me. They are the only ones that actually approve of me."
"You don't need anybody's approval. You already have the moon goddess's. She made you his mate for a reason." Bianca said before leering at some girls who were looking at them weirdly. They quickly averted their gazes in fear.
Silvia crossed her arms and smirked at Theodore glaring at her from across the room. "I guess she did." He scowled at her and averted his gaze.
"What is up with him?" Bianca asked surprised at his behavior.
"He wants to reject me."
"What? Is he crazy? Why would he want to make such a bad decision?" Bianca exclaimed. "Why didn't you tell me?"
Silvia sighed. "We really haven't had the time to discuss anything and by the way, that's not a news I would be excited to share."
Bianca gave her a side hug. "You can tell me anything. You can tell us anything. We are a family."
Silvia nodded.
"Why does he want to reject you?" Bianca asked.
"I have no idea."
"If he hurts you, tell us. We will rip him apart." Bianca said. They both laughed and joined the others.
"I'm so glad you guys could join us." Luna Grace greeted. She stood up and hugged Selena, then she hugged Silvia.
She held Silvia's hands, "I heard you saved my son. Thank you very much."
"Oh, it's nothing. I was just doing what I thought was right." Silvia smiled.
Grace's eyes softened, "You should visit me some time. You are Theodore's mate after all."
Silvia smiled and nodded. She had just received two invitations in one night.
Grace moved on to greet Bianca.
"It's our pleasure," Joshua answered with a trace of sarcasm. The two Alpha's glared at each other before Luna Grace broke the tension.
"Let's all sit and enjoy the meal."
They sat down and were served. Just when they were about to start eating, an Old lady came in, supported by a little girl. Pack members bowed their heads as she passed as a sign of respect.
Silvia gazed at the woman in intrigue. She had heard that the old lady was a Seer. Seers were incredibly rare. Seers were rumored to be half witch and half werewolves but nobody could either confirm or deny that fact since witches went extinct years ago. They were just myths now.
The Old lady and the little girl settled next to the Luna, opposite them. Silvia could now feel the power that exuded from her.
Luna Grace noticed the curiosity in the eyes of the Red Crescent Pack, so she took it upon herself to introduce them. "This is Seer Olive and her granddaughter, Rhea the next Seer," She told the Red Crescent. "Seer Olive, you have met Alpha Jeremy."
"Yes, yes, I know who they all are." Seer Olive huffed.
Silvia rose a brow. 'The Old lady has an attitude.'
"Well, in that case, let's eat." Alpha Peter said and picked up his spoon.
They were about to take their first sip from the soup when a tiny voice interrupted them.
"It smells bad." Everyone stopped to look at Rhea. The little girl scrunched up her nose as she looked at Luna Grace.
They all sniffed the air but nothing smelled out of place.
"What smells bad?" Grace asked.
"Ignore her. She has been doing that all day." Seer Olive said and drank her soup.
"But grandma it smells bad." Rhea retorted. She was annoyed that no one believed her. The whole Pack had been surrounded by a strange smell all day. It tingled her nose in a bad way. "The Luna's soup smells bad."
Luna Grace laughed nervously. "That's impossible. Everyone was served from the same pot. I and the ladies spent all day preparing this." She raised her spoon to her lips to prove her point but Rhea knocked it out of her hand.
Alpha Peter growled at the disrespect but the Grace calmed him down. "She's just a child."
"She's old enough to be taught a lesson." Alpha Peter countered.
"But the Luna's soup smells bad."
"Why don't I taste it to see if it's alright?" Silvia proposed. She was tired of the bickering. Everyone gazed at her in surprise.
Silvia exchanged her plate with Grace's. She scooped the soup with her spoon and threw a glance at Rhea. The little girl shook her head. Silvia drank the soup anyway.
Everyone gazed at her with anticipation. A minute passed and nothing happened. Everyone sighed in relief. "See, nothing is wrong." Grace reassured Rhea but the little girl ignored her and continued staring at Silvia.
Silvia felt alright at first but suddenly she felt a burn from her lips down to her throat. The sweet soup suddenly turned acidic in her mouth.
She groaned and the spoon fell from her hand, the cling drew everybody's attention. They were worried when they saw the pained look on her face.
"Silvia, what's wrong?" Joshua asked in concern.
Silvia opened her mouth to answer but she coughed up blood instead, alarming everyone. She felt the room spin before falling on the floor with a thud, grasping her throat in agony.
"Silvia!" Someone yelled but everything had become distant. All she could hear was the ringing in her ears before she lost consciousness.
