Chapter 6 Who's The Loser

The back of Kenneth's clothes was drenched with sweat as he bowed in front of Noah. "I have already taught that bastard a lesson on your behalf. Please forgive me!" he pleaded.

He had been fast asleep when he received Hudson's call. The moment he realized that it was Hudson calling him, he immediately jolted out of bed.

He wasn't even worthy of having Hudson's phone number before, and now, Hudson was calling him directly. It was such a rare privilege for Kenneth.

However, his initial excitement quickly turned to dread as soon as he heard what Hudson had to say. By the end of the call, his heart was racing in panic.

Over the phone, Hudson had told Kenneth that Tommy had provoked a formidable figure at the cemetery, and that he needed to handle the matter promptly.

If Kenneth failed, his company would be in jeopardy.

Thus, after Hudson ended the call, a sweat-soaked Kenneth rushed to the cemetery.

"Aside from those that ran away, take care of these people lying on the ground as well," Noah ordered indifferently before pulling Charlotte to walk into the cemetery.

"Yes, sir!" Seeing that Noah was about to leave, Kenneth hurriedly added, "About what happened today..."

"Don't worry," Noah interrupted, dismissing him with a wave of his hand. "I don't care about such trivial matters. No one will make things difficult for you."

Kenneth heaved a relieved sigh as his face lit up in gratitude. "Thank you, sir!"

The entire time they were talking, a perplexed look was etched on Charlotte's face.

What was Noah's current status?

Why was Kenneth acting so panicked and respectful in front of him?

"Noah, I wanted to ask you..."

Before Charlotte could finish her sentence, Caroline's voice rang from behind.

"Charlotte! Are you okay? Did Tommy do anything to you? I heard he brought a lot of people!" Caroline asked as she caught her breath.

Behind her were Julian and Hazel.

When they heard that his father's grave was about to be dug up, Julian and the others all rushed to the cemetery, fearing the worst.

"I'm fine," Charlotte assured her. "Noah had already dealt with Tommy and his men all by himself."

She then proceeded to briefly explain to Caroline what had happened moments ago.

After listening to Charlotte's story, Caroline looked at Noah with narrowed eyes. Confused, she asked, "Noah, where were you for the past four years? How come you became so powerful that you can handle numerous people on your own?"

With a smile, Noah answered, "I joined the army."

When Julian overheard this, his jaw slacked in shock. Were ordinary soldiers in Doriland really that powerful?

"But why would Kenneth, a chairman, show so much respect to you?" he couldn't help but ask. "Based on Charlotte's story, he even bowed and apologized to you!"

After saying that, Caroline's phone suddenly rang. Upon checking it, she saw a news notice.

"The God of War from Doriland is visiting Bayhedge. As such, the Bayhedge government has launched a vigorous campaign to crack down on criminal activity and improve social order."

"Dad! I know the reason now. It's because the God of War came to Bayhedge! It has nothing to do with Noah!" Caroline exclaimed, raising her phone in triumph.

"Kenneth must've been afraid that the cemetery incident would escalate and cause bad publicity, so he came here and personally drove Tommy away!"

Everyone nodded in agreement to Caroline's explanation.

Because of the God of War's presence, Kenneth had to take matters into his own hands and teach Tommy a lesson.

Noah, who was listening to their speculations, quietly smiled and said to Caroline, "Or maybe I am God of War?"

As soon as he said this, Caroline's face scrunched into a sneer.

"You're just a loser! How dare you call yourself the God of War?" Caroline replied with disdain as she rolled her eyes at him.

"Don't even try to imitate my idol. The God of War fights and guards his country. Compared to him, you're nothing! Both of you might be soldiers, but the difference between the two of you is night and day!"

"Enough!" Hazel cried as she waved her hand. "Get out of the way. We need to pay our respects to Dad!"

Noah frowned and was about to say something in response. But before he could, his phone suddenly rang.

When he checked it, he saw Hudson's name flashing on the screen.

After thinking for a while, Noah moved aside and answered the call.

"Mr. Reed! The Bayhedge government plans to hold a welcoming banquet for you tomorrow. Do you have time to attend?"

A banquet hosted by the Bayhedge government?

Noah glanced at Julian and the others who were in the middle of paying their respects. As he did, a faint smile formed on his face.

"I can, but see to it that Charlotte's family attend as well," Noah told him. "I want them to see for themselves what the God of War actually looks like."
