Chapter 8 Fed Up with Her New Toy

The year was over so fast and it was already a year and a few months since she had been with Sam.

Sam had always troubled her about getting married. She was tired of his pestering and the feelings she had for him was waxing cold and so was the sex. The intensity had reduced and the pleasure to have it with him had waned considerably.

Now she could not understand what had drawn her to him in the first instance.

Gift had not known why she had fallen suddenly in love with Samuel. She could have sworn that she loved Felix obsessively. But life they say is full of surprises. Gift had decided to leave Samuel and she knew she could not do this alone without help from someone who had knowledge of how to counter fertish practices . Sam had taken her to alot of places she never thought she would go to . To places where marine powers were being used and other such places. He had been determined that Gift would not leave him to go back to Felix so had taken precautions by taking her to these places to wipe her memory of Felix and the love they had shared. He also asked Gift to bring all the photographs she had of Felix and the snap shots she had taken with him. All these, Gift submitted to the witch doctor who burnt then in a fire while chanting incantations. The snapeshorts they had together were torn first in a way that the two of them were cut of and it was symbolic of their being separated. Sam had even gone further to try and kill Felix in a spiritual way by just invoking his spirit and killing him like a chicken but Gift would have none of it. Against his will, Sam speared Felix's life. Afterall as Gift had convinced him, 'i am now with you and not with Felix and he won't have me now that I have been with you. So there really is no need killing him except you want me to leave you because I can't stand you soiling your hands with someone's blood'.

Sam reconsidered but that was when he felt the need to wipe from her the memory of her first love. After about a year i of living like this Gift was fed up and with the help of someone she eventually left him and though he did not succeed in marrying her, Sam felt that he had had her to his heart's content and had succeeded in separating her from Felix. A feat many men had desired but had not been able to achieve. He had shown Felix who the boss was. Even if they reconciled he reasoned, there could never be trust and what was love without trust?

After Gift left Sam,she started going from one man to the other. She could not be satisfied sexually. Once she finds any one attractive, she would ask the lucky man to sleep with her. If any male looked at her with the least bit of interest, she was all the person's. She lost all shred of self control and decency. It was almost as though she was on a sex mission to sleep with as many men as she could possibly sleep with. It got worse. She started having affairs and one night stands with Felix's friends. Felix being an extrovert had many friends male and female alike but he specially had two best male friends with whom he shared his secrets. Desmond and Lawrence. Desmond was a fair young man. He had been introduced to Felix by Lawrence who was The first best friend Felix had. Lawrence was tall, dark in complexion and very handsome. When they got to is house Desmond removed his shirt completely and came to where Gift was sitting and sat close to her. He started trailing his fingers all over her arm. Gift was already getting worked up looking at his biceps and his chest and imagining being held in those strong arms of his. His touching her only sparked the flame to full fire. And before you could say Jack Robbinson, Gift was in his arms and they were kissing furiously. Both of them were on fire lit by their passion. They started tearing their cloths off each tother. He tried to talk to Desmond about it but Desmond would not accept responsibility. ' She threw herself at me,' he told Lawrence..'What was I supposed to do? You know how beautiful and attractive she is and I am only human and responded the way any normal man would. And after the first time, it became harder to resist her.'

Lawrence shook his head and left him disappointed.
