Chapter 9 The plan is executed

Wu Jin prepared a great dinner inviting the Elders and the Alpha to it, tagging it a meal of gratitude the the pack. Incase the poison plant doesn't work Wu Jin adds a enough dose of a liquid called "Adrilino" from the scabs of an infected person,he had been hoarding it since he left his land incase the need for it arise; a need which has arisen now.

A disease that weakens the muscle killing in hours after it has been ingested. The Alpha and his few Elders which he had chosen to go with to honor the invitation from the man from the East Wu Jin.

He had been longing to taste meals from the East but he never reveals it to anyone including his best friend Eric. At exactly the time the moon was overhead,the Alpha and his Elders walked into the clearly where the table had been set with Wu Jin awaiting their arrival with smiles on his face.

Elder Eric gave him a "don't try nonsense with me" look but Wu Jin ignored him focusing on greeting the Alpha and guiding him towards the specially prepared seat for him.

Elder Eric took a seat beside the Alpha on his left hand side while Wu Jin sat on the right with the Elders taking seat's in positions comfortable to them. "I propose a toast." Wu Jin began raising a cup of wine. "To the life time of peace, unity and love which you have accorded to me be continuous." He ended. "Cheer's" The clangs of cups where head as everyone cheered to the toast, soon after a brief thanks to the moon goddess the dinner began.

Wu Jin made sure the Alpha ate a lot of the poison plant mixture he had prepared to taste great. Keeping his eyes vigilant he ate of only the pork and mutton he laid out at the table. Soon the dinner came to an end,the Alpha thanked Wu Jin for the great dinner and so did the Elders too.

Then entourage disappeared into the darkness as quickly as they had come earlier. Wu Jin smiled to himself in the darkness,the first stage of the plan is done; now he had to prepare himself for the second phase of it. Carrying the poison plant mixture off the table and dumping it in a hole he had dug for it,he came back to the table and helped himself with the remnant of the dinner while laughing to himself. Who would think that he Wu Jin would come on a fruitless journey, he had not failed before and he doesn't intend failing now.

He had come to become a ruler and a ruler he will be,even if it will mean never to go back home again. He had left his people for this and he can risk losing it now it is in his grasp. The early morning sun filtered into the Alpha's room to reveal a wriggling man lying on the velvet bed, the court physician had administered all known medications to him but it seems it was getting worse than before. It seems all who had attended the dinner last night were the only ones being affected, as plans were been made the summon Wu Jin a message was brought in by the court messenger. What was it.

"The Alpha has been challenged to a duel by Wu Jin the man from the East" was the message. A smile of acknowledgement swept over the Alpha's face as he turned to Elder Eric who stood masking his own pain with a concerned smile.

Everyone of the Elders from last night were all in pain but none could help but endure theirs as their Alpha's laid wriggling in pain. "My dear Eric,am sorry I didn't listen to your admonishment. How wish I could turn back the hands of time, but it is impossible but......" The Alpha said to Eric but he hushed him while gently rubbing his hands.

"Don't stop me brother, if I die in this challenge then take care of the pack.i entrust it to your hands" the Alpha added as he struggled to his feet.

"You can choose not to accept the duel or better still postponed it to whenever you are ready" Elder Eric told him as the others growled in agreement. "Look at him brother, if I don't accept this duel; a rebellion will begin brewing in the minds of the people and you know what that means" The Alpha replied him as the realization of the implication of rejecting the duel dawned on them.

Looking over from the window, a mammoth crowd had gathered awaiting the Alpha's appearance to either accept Wu Jin's duel or reject it. Tears came to his eyes immediate, taking a last look at his Elders he began the walk down the stairs to the courtyard with the Elders following behind solemnly like it was a funeral procession.

In minutes he appeared at the courtyard as the crowd roared their happiness as the craned their necks in anticipation of a great fight. No one knows yet how Wu Jin would face the Alpha but what they all await to see is either a loser or a winner,but every bet and lot was casted in the direction of the Alpha.

Only a few betted on Wu Jin,no one wanted to loss money; some people claimed that if Wu Jin challenged the Alpha then something was really giving him courage.

The Alpha stripped to the waist leaving only his latex shorts, his eyes glowed red. A swift swing of his hands,he wiped away the blood ozzing from his nose; movement that didn't go unnoticed by Wu Jin which smiled and took a Kung Fu stance. The crowd roared out filling the air with anticipation, the Beta wolves rallied on one side chanting the name of the Alpha and Wu Jin in simultaneous chants. The Alpha charged at him as Wu Jin returned the charge,the air was filled with tension as the two clashed.
