Chapter 8 Fake Princess, Frog Prince

Once again Ellen surprises Luke as without raising her tone

of voice or needing to show anger she says:

"Children to let's

go greet alpha Dylan and his guests", immediately the children stop and served

to the door where they are standing.

To Luke's surprise

it is clear that the love relationship is also shown towards the alpha and his

son Trevan as the children run smiling towards them while they stroke their

heads, and calling them by name showing that they know each one of them. Luke

then remembers the children of his own gang and how they seem to be afraid of

him and his father and this makes him extremely uncomfortable, his eyes turn

again to Ellen who contrary to his theory that she cared about looks there she

was and didn't show even na iota of shame for being like that, Ellen holds his

gaze as if daring him to say something derogatory about her, but Luke is

speechless at that sight, to him she was much more beautiful standing there

with her face all painted than earlier in the parking lot.

At that moment alpha

Dilan calls the children's attention to the children saying:

"Hey children I want

to introduce to you Prince Luke, his beta Diego, and his gamma Roberto".

The children look

interested at Luke and one little girl asks:

"Hey are you a real

prince?"

Unable to suppress a

smile Luke replies:

"I am the future

alpha king, that makes me a real prince doesn't it?"

The little girl and

the other children get extremely excited and start saying to each other:

"We found a real

prince for our princess Ellen" and turning to Luke they say:

"Marry her let's

have the ceremony now".

A crowd of children

push Ellen towards Luke, causing her to lose her balance and fall towards him

who reaches out his arm and pulls her to himself thus preventing her from

falling.

Luke feels a strange

sensation run through his body but before he can identify what it is, Hellen

pushes him away as if he were a deadly plague and says:

"Get your royal

hands off me", obeying her Luke lets go of her, causing her to fall on her ass

on the floor, the children immediately jump on her tickling her Hellen

momentarily forgets about Luke trying to grab as many children as possible and

reciprocate the tickling.

"Okay, okay stop

now kids" she says getting up and then continues, "how about this, next week I

ask Mike to come along with Gloria and me and then he can be my prince, I can

even convince him to come dressed up"

The children

immediately go along with the idea forgetting Luke clapping his hands at the

opportunity to see Mike dressed as a prince.

Luke can't say why

that bothers and annoys him, so he says to the children:

"Do what children,

some false princesses prefer frogs over real princes"

Beto chokes up

trying to suppress a giggle, while the alpha Dilan and his son Trevan look on

in awe at the interaction between Hellen and the prince, Diego looks in

expectation at Hellen, he knew the girl would not let Luke's misbehavior go.

Ellen doesn't

flinch and says:

"And children don't

forget that some princes are actually frogs and some are even cursed"

Her alpha father

Dilan chokes up and says :

"Hellen!"

Her brother Trevan

makes a positive sign to her from behind his father, because he thinks the

Prince deserved it.

Beto gives up

control and laughs.

Diego laughs and

says to his brother:

"That's right, I

think she has broken the tie and is winning.

Upon hearing this

alpha Dilan sighs and thinks it's better not to ask what kind of game the

prince is playing with his daughter, and wonders if he should warn him that

Hellen has never lost in her life.

Trevan exchanges a

look with his Beta Noah and he shrugs his shoulders meaning he has no idea what

is going on either.

"Futile girl," Luke

says caring little for alpha Dilan's warning look or Trevan's angry one.

"Well I think

we're done here let's go to the youth center now" says alpha Dilan as soon as

she sees that her daughter is standing in place with her back to them, and from

knowing her well she knows that she is crying and that she wouldn't want the

prince and his friends to know about it as she hardly showed her true feelings,

although she dressed up as strong and fearless she was sensitive and often

insecure.

But before they

cross the door a fierce little girl stops in front of Luke and says:

"You're not really a

prince, you're a monster who made our princess cry," and with all her strength

kicks Erick in the shin who grimaces and turns to Hellen who still has her back

to them standing like a statue, and wonders if she's really crying, and for

some reason this makes her heart hurt.

Luke makes mention

of going over to Hellen but Trevan stands before him and signals for the exit,

sighing Luke turns and walks away saying to himself:

"I really don't

care"

But as he walks away

he seems to hear the sound of Hellen's sobbing and it breaks his heart, and he

wonders if he has ever in his life been such a jerk to a girl for free.

Tron who is very

silent lately growls at him making it clear that he doesn't agree with Luke's

attitudes.

Inside the room

Hellen finally gives in to Luke's harassment and falls into tears, in all her

life no one has ever offended her like this, but what really bothers her is the

image he has of her, and it makes her wonder why she cares so much about his

opinion.

"But what's wrong

with this guy" , says Gloria furiously, for in all the years of friendship she

had never seen Hellen cry , "Lili you did very well you should have kicked the

other shin too"

This makes Hellen

smile, which relieves her friend's concern.

"Right," Hellen

says, recovering herself, "Let's clean up this mess.

But in her heart of

hearts she makes the decision to stay as far away from Luke and his friends as

possible.
