At the end of the school day, Hellen has the impression that
this was the longest day of her life, and she doesn't understand what the
prince's problem is with her.
He made the rest of
her day a torture, making jokes about futilities, and even nicknamed her Barbie
Girl, which was driving her crazy.
When she gets to
her car, Gloria is waiting for her. The two of them usually go together to the
day care center voluntarily to give the little wolves a hand.
Gloria looks pityingly
at her friend who is visibly shaken by the frog prince's gratuitous
persecution, that's how they refer to him.
Gloria knows Hellen
like no one else so she knows that Luke has been unfair to her.
She admits that her
friend has her spoiled and sometimes futile side, but Hellen is much more than
that, from a very young age she took on some of the responsibilities that would
have been her mother's as Luna of the gang and this made her strong and
extremely helpful to the neediest of the gang.
"Come on girl, cheer
up, I'm sure tomorrow will be better", says Gloria trying to improve her
friend's mood.
"Come on, I'm sure
na hour with the kids will make everything better," says Hellen smiling just
thinking about the little ones.
"Did you bring the
makeup kit?" asks Gloria as they had promised the little ones that they would
let them paint them last week.
"Sure girl, a
self-respecting woman always carries her makeup with her," Hellen answers
winking at Gloria.
At that moment Luke
had been walking past towards his car and is not surprised to see that Hellen
is the owner of the BMW he saw earlier, and upon hearing her talking about
makeup as if it were a weapon he rolls his eyes and says loud enough for
everyone in the parking lot to hear.
"Barbie Girl is just like that, with nothing on her head and
hollow inside, the only thing left is her appearance, that's why her arsenal is
limited to lipsticks, perfumes and putty", and walks away with a satisfied
smile because her comment got giggles especially from the girls.
Hellen's eyes fill
with water, but she is not the type to give up, she picks up a stale apple
abandoned on the sidewalk and with her perfect aim throws it directly at Luke's
head, who now has hair full of a weird goo.
"Haa sorry, it's
just that Babies Girls have terrible aim I was just trying to throw the garbage
in the trash," and not giving Luke time to approach she signals to Gloria who
immediately gets in the car, and she drives off leaving behind na angry Luke.
"What the fuck" Luke
says almost screaming, "I'm going to kill that girl"
"Sorry little
brother but you deserved it", says Diego increasingly amused by this situation.
Beto, who is holding
his belly from laughing so hard, points to Luke's head and asks:
"Haa man what is
that? A bigato.
Luke curses softly
and says:
"Let's go soon, I
have to stop home and shower before our meeting with the alpha and his son"
Vanessa now thinks she worried for nothing, as the girl just
threw a rotten apple at Luke's head and she doubted he would forgive that.
Hiding a smile she
follows Luke to his car.
Already far away from
the school Hellen and Gloria can't stop laughing.
Hellen is feeling
much better after venting all her frustration on Luke.
"That's my girl,"
says Gloria feeling proud of her friend, because many of them would have left
the school crying.
"Did you see his
face?" Hellen asks, choking back a fit of laughter.
But Gloria says
something that makes her lose her amusement:
"Well you know
you'll have to see him again tomorrow won't you"
"I'll deal with it
tomorrow," she says and parks the car in front of the day care center.
Grabbing a makeup case
she gets out of the car and enters the daycare where she is greeted with joy by
the children :
"Aunt Hellen you
came, I missed you".
Hellen hugs each
one of the little ones and prepares herself for the fun and games they are
going to have.
Half na hour later
Hellen, her face painted by the children, parades as if she were the prom
queen, drawing giggles and applause from the children. Then she sits down
again, letting them tie up her long hair.
At that moment,
Dilan explains to Erick and his group at the entrance of the alpha day care
center:
"Our system starts
from childhood, the children are already actively involved in the issues of the
pack, as well as we give leadership we put the pack and our love for the pack
first, I believe it is important to win , the love , respect and loyalty of the
members of the pack, and this is where this relationship begins, as you know I
lost my mate, so for lack of a Luna my daughter ended up taking for herself
some responsibilities that would be hers" says this part proudly, "including
she should be around now"
Luke rolls his eyes
and says to Diego and Beto through the mind link:
"I doubt this girl
will teach these kids anything good, they should leave here hating the gang,
not loving and respecting them"
As they enter they
can hear shouting and laughter coming from a room down the hall.
Luke and the boys
follow alpha Dilan and his son into the room and nothing in the world prepared
Luke for the scene he saw there.
Hellen with her face
all painted up in several different colors of make-up, her lipstick all smudged
up, making it clear that it was the work of the little ones, her long hair tied
up in several different bows, while her friend, sitting there letting some
little girls paint her face.
And the reason for
the screams of delight, laughter and applause is that Hellen is chasing the
children, and when she catches one she kisses them leaving their faces dirty
with makeup.
It was visible the
loving and caring relationship she had with the children.
"Hellen dear" ,
calls alpha Dilan drawing her attention to the visitors in the room.
She stops
immediately but the children keep jumping on her trying to get her attention,
and Luke thinks good but they sure don't respect her.
But apparently he
thought too soon!
