Chapter 7 A Miracle

"This is incredible! How did you manage to locate the glass?" The old man looked at the glass fragment Randall took out in surprise. He couldn't believe his eyes.

"This can't be! It's absolutely impossible!" Perry blurted out, shocked to the bones.

He had expected Randall to perform woefully and accidentally end the boy's life in the process.

Never did it occur to him that the direct opposite would happen. Randall was able to take out the glass fragment, and the boy's breathing was becoming stable.

This was like a slap in Perry's face.

The onlookers pointed at Perry and Tonya and mocked them. Shame overwhelmed Tonya too. Her entire face turned red.

Randall's success wasn't the only shocking thing. The fact that his hand didn't tremble as usual was what shocked her the most. "Did he get cured? No way!"

Tonya knew how badly damaged Randall's right hand was. The doctors had said his nerves were damaged irreversibly.

But how was he able to perform such an operation without making a mistake? Was it by pure luck? Or could it be that his hand didn't tremble because the operation was a short one?

Tonya was lost in thought as she stared at Randall, who was taking off his surgical gloves.

"Sir, your grandson is no longer in danger. You just have to wait for the ambulance and get him admitted to the hospital. I have something else to do, so I'll get going."

As soon as Randall finished speaking, he hailed a taxi and left in a hurry.

It was almost time for the seminar he was supposed to attend. If he spent another minute at the accident scene, he would be late.

The old man checked his grandson's condition. When he saw him breathing steadily, he finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thank you..."

His words of gratitude were cut short when he looked up and saw that Randall was nowhere to be found.

He immediately looked at Perry and Tonya.

"Are you his classmates? My name is Wesson Medina, the head of a hospital. Please tell me his name."

"No! We don't know him."

Perry's face was burning with shame at this moment. It was bad enough that he got to experience Randall proving him wrong. He didn't want any good thing to come to Randall, so he left abruptly, pulling Tonya away.

Tonya was a little reluctant to leave. She kept staring back at the old man.

"Wesson Medina? Where have I heard that name before? It sounds so familiar."

Tonya and Perry refused to tell the old man Randall's name.

However, one of the onlookers had recorded Randall performing the lifesaving operation and posted it on TikTok.

Viewers praised Randall and called him a hero doctor who had a heart of gold.

The video went viral on all social media platforms in no time.

Nearly three hundred thousand people watched it in about ten minutes.

Different hashtags about Randall began to trend online.

Meanwhile, Dorcie was waiting in front of Bredon Hotel. "Randall said he was on the way. Why isn't he here yet?"

Louise Todd, one of the medical students selected to attend the seminar, had a dissatisfied expression. She had a sneaky suspicion that Dorcie wanted to introduce Randall to her. She didn't think Randall, who wasn't even punctual, deserved her.

A male student called Brady Truman was standing there with them. He frowned at the mention of Randall's name. "Miss Riley, I had no idea that you were making us wait for Randall. I can't believe he has the nerve to come to the seminar. He's not fit to be a doctor. Why did you invite him to such an important occasion? No hospital would like to employ a disabled person as a doctor."

Dorcie frowned.

"Mind your words, Brady!

She didn't think Randall, who wasn't even punctual, deserved her. You shouldn't speak so meanly about Randall. Got that?"

"Humph! Fine!" Brady snorted.

When he looked aside and saw a group of doctors entering the venue, he pointed at them and said, "Other attendees are already filing in. We will be late if we don't go in now. How about you go in first? I'll wait for him here."

"Okay, I'll leave you to it then. You can only come in when Randall arrives," Dorcie uttered seriously.

She had to exchange experiences with the experts from other medical schools and hospitals.

"Don't worry. I'll bring Randall in!" Brady promised, raising his hand and smiling brightly.

As soon as Dorcie entered the hotel, the smile on his face disappeared. He looked away with a cold expression.

"I will by no means wait for that loser!" Brady sneered.

Once he was done smoking a cigarette, he blocked Randall's number and walked into the hotel.

A few minutes later, Randall arrived at the hotel. He didn't see Dorcie or the others outside. He reasoned that they had gone in, so he decided to walk into the hotel.

But a security guard at the entrance stopped him. He found it amusing that he couldn't enter his own hotel.
