Chapter 8 Snobbish Security Guard

Randall was stunned after he got stopped by the security guard of his own hotel.

"What are you doing?" he asked with a slight frown.

The security guard gave him a cold look and pointed at the blood stains on his clothes with the baton in his hand.

"Who the hell are you? And why are you here looking like this?"

Randall was displeased with the look he was given. He also felt that he was being interrogated like a criminal.

"Get out of the way. I'm here for the seminar," Randall said coldly, suppressing his anger.

The onlookers pointed at Perry and Tonya and mocked them. Shame overwhelmed Tonya too. Her entire face turned red.

The security guard suddenly threw his head back and laughed.

Afterward, he stared at Randall from head to toe and uttered, "Young man, do you take me for a fool? How can you be here for that seminar when you are poorly dressed? The seminar is for doctors, not rascals! You are out of place here. Fuck off!"

Randall was dressed in shabby clothes. Not only that, his appearance was awful. There were blood stains on his clothes and his hair was ruffled.

This was why the security guard concluded that he was a rascal.

It was his job to prevent anyone who could cause trouble from entering the hotel.

Randall ran his fingers through his hair exasperatedly. He took out his phone and said, "I'll show you that I'm supposed to be here. Let me call the person that invited me. Just hold on."

"Bah! I know you are lying. Go on, make the call.

Once it's established that you are a liar, don't blame me for what I'll do to you!"

The security guard sneered, his eyes sparkling with a fiery glint.

He lifted his baton onto his shoulder, intending to beat Randall at any time.

Randall didn't flinch at all. He just dialed Dorcie's number while staring at the security guard squarely.

In the hall where the seminar was scheduled to hold, Brady was wandering around. He suddenly took out an iPhone with a pink phone case from his pocket.

Dorcie had been called for a meeting with many experts in the medical field, and she couldn't answer her calls. That was why she gave her phone to Brady in case Randall called.

"The idiot is calling!" Brady sneered once he saw the caller ID.

He declined the call and deleted its history from the call log.

Randall called Dorcie's line three times in a row. It rang always, but no one picked up. His face darkened.

"Why is she not picking up? Is she in a meeting?" Randall pondered out loud.

The security guard knocked off the phone from Randall's hand and yelled, "You fucking liar! Why are you still pretending?"

"My goodness! Why did you do that?"

Randall picked up his phone and glared at him.

Suddenly, a middle-aged couple walked to the entrance. They were dressed in formal clothes and glasses. They looked classy and noble.

"Hey, can you give us the direction to the venue for the seminar?" the middle-aged man asked the security guard.

The security guard put on a smile and said politely, "Welcome to Bredon Hotel! Not to worry, I'll personally take you to the venue once I'm done dealing with this guy."

The way he behaved toward the couple was completely different from how he treated Randall.

It was at this moment the woman noticed Randall. She quickly covered her nose with a silk scarf. She eyed him and moved away slightly.

"Eww! Where is there a pauper in front of such a high-end hotel?"

The couple covered their noses and retreated as they stared at Randall in disgust. They behaved as if he were a garbage truck filled with rotten food.

The security guard became anxious.

The couple looked distinguished. If they complained about his incompetence, his wages would be docked.

At the thought of this, he swung his baton, aiming at Randall's head.

"Are you deaf? Get lost before I break your head!"

Just when he was about to make good his threat, he received a hard kick on the back from behind.

He fell down flat to the ground. His forehead hit the hard ground. Blood gushed out immediately.

"Ouch! Who the hell kicked me? You are courting death!" He cussed out without looking back.

"I did! What? are you going to do about that? Huh?"
