Chapter 5 A Car Accident

"Me?"

Randall pointed at himself in disbelief. He found it hard to believe even though he heard it from Stewart.

How could someone like him surpass the greatest doctor in the world in just two years?

"Yes, you! Don't doubt me. Also, don't sell yourself short, Randall. You have an IQ of 200. I haven't met any young doctor as talented as you. You are not like your peers. This is why I chose you to be my student. Don't you want me to be your teacher?"

"Of course, I want you to be my teacher. It's a great honor. I'm grateful that you chose me!" Randall said without hesitation as he bowed respectfully.

"Good, good!"

Stewart nodded, smiling brightly. He took out a mobile phone and handed it to Randall. "Here you go. In this phone, there are examples of thousands of surgeries that I have performed in the past twenty years. Study them first."

"Thank you so much, Dr. Turner."

Randall couldn't refuse such a gift. He collected it and thanked Stewart profusely.

In the next few days, Randall spent all his time studying with the mobile phone he was gifted. He didn't get out of the room for once.

All his attention was on learning a lot from the operations Stewart had conducted.

He was still studying attentively when he received a message.

"Hey, Randall. Don't forget that you have to accompany me to the medical exchange meeting today. See you!"

This message was from Dorcie Riley.

Dorcie was the professor who taught neurosurgery in the medical school. She was one of the few people who still cared about Randall after his right hand got injured.

She had been invited to attend a medical seminar held by Wesson Medina, the head of Herdale General Hospital.

She was allowed to take three students with her. Randall was one of the students she picked.

To Randall's surprise, when he told Stewart about it, the latter smiled.

"I didn't expect that Wesson would be able to hold a medical seminar. How time flies! Bredon Hotel, huh? Actually, the hotel is mine. And its market value is about five hundred million dollars. Randall, the hotel is yours now. Consider it the first gift I give to my student."

Amari offered to send Randall to Bredon Hotel, but the latter refused. He was still in a daze even when he got into the taxi.

Bredon Hotel was the best hotel in the city, whose market value was five hundred million dollars.

Steward just gave it to Randall like it was not a big deal.

And he mentioned it was the first gift. Did it mean there would be more gifts in the future?

Randall found it unbelievable.

When he finally calmed down and came back to his senses, he found that the taxi was parked on the way and the whole street was jammed.

"A car accident occurred in the middle of Marble Avenue, and a 9-year-old boy was injured. The ambulance will only arrive in half an hour. If there are doctors nearby, please come and help the boy."

Hearing the announcement from the taxi's broadcast, Randall paid for the taxi fare and hurriedly got out of the car to help.

Unexpectedly, Randall met two acquaintances when he was running toward the patient.

"Wow! Look at him! He's physically handicapped, and yet he's so warm-hearted," Perry mocked. "Why don't you look at yourself in the mirror? Do you think you still have the ability to save people?"

"Honey, just ignore him. A pauper like him makes me sick," Tonya sneered and rolled her eyes as she caressed the new Hermes bag she was carrying.

She was a beautiful woman, but all Randall could see was her rotten heart.

Randall wanted to teach Perry a lesson right now when he remembered that Perry hired people to cut his right hand.

But he always remembered that he was a doctor. To a doctor, a patient was the top priority.

He ignored the annoying couple and ran to the scene of the accident.

Soon, he saw a black Mercedes-Benz with its hood distorted by the collision stopped at the roadside, and a half-hundred-old man with gray hair in a mess was rescuing a little boy in a coma on the ground.

With red eyes, the old man cleaned the glass shards in the boy's wounds and shouted, "Is there a doctor? My grandson is injured. Please help me."

The boy had been placed on the bare ground. He wasn't moving at all. He had small injuries all over his body.

It was obvious that these cuts were made by the shards of glass during the collision.

His neck was bloodied, and it seemed that the cut was very deep.

At the sight of Randall, the old man's eyes gleamed with hope. He asked immediately, "Are you a doctor? I need an assistant doctor to help me with the operation. I suspect that a shard of glass has entered my grandson's blood vessel. I need to take it out now!"
