Chapter 9 You Are Fired

A man in his early forties roared at the security guard, sweating profusely.

He was Joshua Mason, the general manager of the hotel.

A few minutes back, he received an email from the headquarters stating that the new owner of the hotel was a guy named Randall Carter.

A picture of him was attached to the email.

Knowing that Randall was on his way here, Joshua left his office in haste to welcome him at the entrance.

He didn't even take the elevator because it was taking too long to arrive.

Much to his dismay, he saw the security guard trying to hit the new boss's head.

"Mr. Mason?" A cold sweat broke out on the security guard's forehead when he saw who kicked him.

Joshua gave him a fiery look that could melt lead within seconds.

"Who were you cursing at just now? Are you out of your damn mind?"

"Oh, Mr. Mason. I'm terribly sorry. I had no idea that it was you. Please forgive me!"

The security guard bowed and begged profusely.

Seeing this, the middle-aged woman shouted at Joshua, "Hey! Is this how you manage this hotel? Order this pauper to be driven away immediately! He has no place here. Disgusting people like him carry different germs."

A grenade of fury went off inside Joshua when he heard the woman's words. He walked over to her and gave her a hard slap in the face.

"Shut the fuck up! The two of you are banned from coming to Bredon Hotel from today onwards. Now, get out of here!"

"What?" the middle-aged couple exclaimed in unison.

It came as a shock to them that Joshua treated them in this way for a pauper's sake.

They guessed that Randall wasn't a poverty-stricken man, but actually a powerful man. However, they were still unhappy due to the humiliation.

"Humph! This is not the end of this!"

The woman snapped at Joshua and left with her partner angrily.

Turning to face Randall, Joshua said apologetically, "I'm sorry about that, Mr. Carter. Such a thing shall not repeat itself. Are you satisfied with how I handled the matter?"

Randall nodded with satisfaction. "Anyway, take me to the venue for the seminar."

"Please come with me, sir."

Joshua began to lead Randall into the hotel like a humble servant.

It was at this moment that the security guard realized that he had made a terrible mistake.

"Please have mercy on me, Mr. Carter. It was just a misunderstanding..."

"Oh, I almost forgot you. You not only disrespected the boss but also tried to hit him. You are fired! Get your things and leave here within five minutes!" Joshua turned and yelled at the security guard.

Meanwhile, Dorcie just walked out of the meeting room after the meeting ended.

She was surprised to see Brady and Louise standing in the hallway.

"Where is Randall? Hasn't he arrived yet?" she asked, frowning deeply.

Dorcie collected her phone and checked her call log.

"He didn't even call. What could have happened to him?"

Louise rolled her eyes and commented with displeasure, "I don't think anything happened to him. That guy is so ungrateful! He didn't value your invitation, Miss Riley. And he should have informed you in advance that he didn't plan to come. He just stood us up. What an arrogant guy!"

Louise was so pissed off. She hadn't met Randall before, but she already had a bad impression of him.

A smug smile appeared on Brady's face when he saw that his plan worked. In his head, he praised himself for spoiling Randall's reputation.

However, his eyes widened a second later.

Randall was walking towards them with his hands in his pockets.
