Chapter 9 Date with Someone Else

Selena Kapoor POV

I got a call from Kartik and when I got to know about Our dinner plan I decided to meet him. After fighting with my so-called boring husband I was bearing him just because I wanted to meet Kartik.

As soon as I entered the restaurant I noticed Kartik and he smiled seeing me but suddenly his smile faded away seeing Dhruv standing next to me.

Well, I would have reacted the same way. He would be so surprised listening to my plan of escape from this forced wedding.

I was about to go there when Dhruv stopped me.

"Take your time. I want to spend more time with my girlfriend so don't come back to me, earlier. Don't worry about Mom she won't say anything if we go late but she would definitely get mad seeing us getting back home earlier."

"Don't worry. I am not in a hurry. Take your time husband."

He went away and I didn't see where he go. I was heading towards Kartik when someone hit me so hard and I hardly managed myself and balanced to not fall.

I turned around and It was a girl. By her looks and extra makeup It was obvious she was there for meeting someone but her attitude and arrogance were making me angry. She hit me and there she was standing in front of me and looking at me as if I did something wrong.

"Can't you see?? Hitting around people you bloody cheap.."

"Don't you dare say anything? I won't regret showing you Your actual class Miss Extra makeup."

"How dare you call me that. Instead of apologizing, you are arguing with me."

"Oh, Do you think I am an idiot? Don't you even let me start? It's better you leave.. because you are gonna get everything else except an apology."

She was making an angrier face and meanwhile, Kartik showed up and held my arm, and took me away.

"Leave me, Kartik. Let me handle that bitch. How dare she talk to me like that. I am not her servant."

"Okay Okay. Don't be mad. Let her go. Don't spoil your mood baby. Come here."

He hugged me and calm me down and I was finally okay. We came back to the restaurant and we sat down he ordered my favorite food and was holding my hand.

"Tell me, What's going on. I mean your husband didn't seem to care about our date?? Why?? Is he okay?? I mean Only a person with a defective system would let such a beautiful sexy wife go away."

I knew what he was referring to.

"Shut up. There's nothing like that."

"You mean you guys had sex???"

"What??? No, are you mad? We were totally stranger and why were you thinking like that?? I mean He isn't that desperate."

"When he held Your hand and was whispering into your ear I got to know how much desperate he was."

"Really?? Don't be this possessive. He is actually my Husband legally and It's okay there's nothing between us. We are just Strangers or Just roommates. We can't be together."

"Really?? How?? You are thinking of an extramarital affair with me?? What about your family??"

"Oh shut Up Kartik. There's nothing like that. We are planning to get a divorce as he is also dating someone else. So, together we decided to get separated and live our lives our own ways. "

"What?? Really?? I can't believe this. You are going to be mine actually??"

"Yes. And Dhruv is taking some time just for the official work to be get done and nothing else."

"But it will take a month and what if???"

"What??"

"I mean, what if you two decide to live together. I mean he is well-established CEO and I am just a common man with a small company. "

"No, Don't play such games. You know that it doesn't matter to me. Wealth and status don't attract me at all. As far as his personality is concerned good look doesn't count only. His behavior and attitude were too harsh and as far as I understood We too are nothing alike and we are poles apart. We can't Love."

"But One month. Are you going to join his office??"

"No, no ways. I am coming back to my job.. and we will be living a normal life like before. Dating and all that. Till our divorce will be confirmed. But our families are still unaware of the fact of our divorce and we want to keep it that way till the confirmed decision. Till then we are just pretending to be a happy couple."

"Just one month."

"Of course. "

"Okay. Then as you said there would be no compromise on our relationship. We would be meeting like before and everything like that."

He was kissing my hand and meanwhile our dinner was served and we started enjoying it and I only had tasted the food and I heard Dhruv.

"Selena. Let's go."

I was shocked listening to him. I just had my dinner started and he didn't let me have it either.

I looked up and he was as usual with his rude face.

"I am having my dinner. We will go after that." I said casually

"I said let's go. I am leaving."

"Relax Man. At least, let her have the dinner." Kartik spoke.

"I didn't ask for your opinion Mr. Whatever Your name is."

I wasn't able to understand as I was looking at both of their faces they were too much angry and seeing Kartik's reaction I knew he would start a fight.

Dhruv held my hand.

"Let's go."

"Let her go."

"It's okay Kartik. I will call you later on.."

"But this is so rude. How dare he treat you like that??"

"She is not anyone. She is my wife and I have every right to hold her hand. Now, stop bothering me. It won't be good for you." I never imagined him saying that.

" Calm down Kartik. Bye."

He didn't let me say bye and started walking and I was trying to stop him but seeing people around I pretend to be normal and as I went out I started speaking.

"What the hell?? I didn't want to come earlier in fact you yourself advised me to. Now, what was that??"

"Nothing, I am feeling a headache. I am going back home so if you have forgotten that we have been married and our parents expect us to be together at home. Trust me, if it was up to me I would have left you here with your Cheesy Boyfriend."

"Don't you dare say anything for him? "

"What would you do then??"

He was looking in a totally different mood..he was looking angrier and he was heading towards me and I tried to be okay but he was holding me by my shoulders and I smelled alcohol from him. It was a sharp smell..he was drinking sitting there?? But this restaurant didn't serve drinks. I mean not enough to make anyone get drunk.

Just to celebrate an occasion but now I was a bit scared from inside.

"You would tell mom that I treated your boyfriend badly?? Really?? Do you think that would be so cool.?? Even if I beat him Mom won't say anything. Because actually, A Possessive Husband had beaten up his wife's boyfriend and People usually adore such things."

"What are you trying to do Dhruv?? Why are you behaving like that?? We came here because we both agreed. You were on your date and I was on mine. I didn't ruin yours."

"But, You did. You came into my life and make it hell for me. Now, you would be alright with your boyfriend but I am not okay with my girlfriend. My Dad is not giving me my company back my only hard work of life and I can't live with you. Can't you see how much screwed my life is because of you??"

"Oh !!! Do you think everything is going really well in my life?? I am really happy living with you and My boyfriend would be okay with us living together?? "

"I don't think he would have any problem. I have seen him with other girls in the bar. He is just a playboy."

"Don't.. don't say a single word against him Dhruv. You are too drunk.. you have no idea what you are saying. Get in the car we should go now."
