Chapter 8 Worst Taste in Music

Her mother showed up and the breakfast was so delicious. Mom asked me to drop her home and I didn't refuse.

She was really very great person. On the way, she was just telling me how much stupid her daughter is and I was laughing inside because I have seen the demo last night.

" I know my daughter is really foolish and immature. She is stubborn and sometimes doesn't even think twice about any decision. But she is very pure and innocent in her heart. She had been through a lot. Take care of her."

"Okay, Don't worry I will take care of her

I dropped her home and she was insisting but I had work to do So I came back. Mom was sitting in the lounge and was looking worried.

I sat near her.

"What happened?? Why are you looking so sad??"

"Dhruv !! I know you are not happy with this marriage. This was Forced on you but Selena is a nice girl. Today I saw her so worried, she was Missing her Mom. Your Dad and I trusted you. I hope you are not going to break our trust. You have to take care of her and give this marriage your full effort."

"Mom, I know You are worried that I would treat her harshly but believe me I didn't. I am trying to be so calm and cool with her. If you guys are expecting a normal relationship between us, I am sorry that's not gonna happen. She is just a stranger to me. A compromise nothing else. She might have gotten a place in my room but she would never be in my heart."

"Dhruv don't be so stubborn. That girl wasn't good for you and you know that. Your Dad took the right decision and I agreed with him."

"Please, Mom!! Don't start again. You guys have no idea how much hard it is for me. She is the perfect person for me. And I love her so much. I can't forget her and I never will. Don't worry I am not gonna hurt anyone of you. Trust me It will be better for all of us."

"What do you mean by that ?? What are you thinking ?? You can't take any foolish Decision you know that."

"Don't worry Mom. Trust me. Okay, I am a bit tired now I am gonna sleep."

I went back to my room and she was sleeping on the bed and I slept on the couch. I would never give her a place in my heart and I was sure of that.

In the evening I was planning to meet Ananya and I told Mom that I would be going out for some work but she forced me to take Selena with me for dinner. I didn't want to do that.

Ananya wouldn't like that. And I didn't want to go with her. I didn't like her tone when she said she didn't want to work in my company. People are so desperate to get a job in this company and there she was getting it without any hard work and rejecting it as if this doesn't matter to her.

She was thinking of it as some third-class cheap company. That was a little bit personal attack. I came back to my room and she was already getting ready.

" I am not going out with you. I am not interested."

I said with so much rudeness but unexpectedly she was laughing.

"You think I am getting ready for that?? Oh please, I have no interest in wasting my time with you. I am just taking your lift. I am gonna meet my boyfriend and will enjoy my dinner with him."

"I am not your cab driver. What if someone sees you meeting with him??"

"Oh really?? What about you?? You were planning a dinner with your girlfriend?? I didn't have any issues with that. So, please stop pretending to be so much possessive husband. You are just a roommate. Nothing else."

"How did you know about that?? Did anybody tell you about it??"

"Anybody?? Who else knows about this??"

" Answer me what I am asking?? How did you know??"

" I heard you talking to your girlfriend. So, don't think that I am a dumb person."

"Oh really. This is not an act of cleverness witch. You were eavesdropping and that's not a good thing. Oh sorry, that's called manners, and apparently, you don't have any. "

"I don't wanna argue with you. Tell me whether you are taking me?? Should I tell your mom that you are not taking me out???"

"Oh great??? You think you can blackmail me with that."

"Oh, so you don't care whether I go tell mom or not??"

"No, I don't care."

But I was worried about what if she go and tell mom and that.

As I expected she was going towards the door and I held her hands and pushed her against the door and for the first time I was so close to her.

She was looking into my eyes and I was holding her hand and our bodies were touching each other. Her eyes were so beautiful.

She was looking into my eyes and for some reason, I wasn't able to take away my gaze. But soon I got back into my senses.

"Stop being so stupid. Get ready we are going."

She smiled and started getting ready. I got ready and we went out Mom was sitting in the lounge. We said bye to everyone and we got in the car.

I was thinking at least my travel to the restaurant will be peaceful but I was wrong. There she started arguing and laughing about my music choice.

She was playing her favorite songs and I didn't like them.

"I don't like them. Change them."

"Oh really??? what type of a person listens to such songs with no lyrics and no meaning??? Just When I think about what could go wrong. You prove me wrong."

"You really are a witch."

"You are a monster."
