Chapter 5 Daddy's Boy

Selena Kapoor POV

I was wondering what was he wearing. I got up and looked at him from head to toe. He was making that angry bird face again.

"If you are done scanning. Get ready we have to be there by half an hour."

"You were going to the office?? Weren't you??"

"Change of plan. Now, stop asking questions. Get ready. And what is this??"

I tried to get up and was going to get fresh and he was making angry faces looking at the bed.

"I told you I like things in a proper way. Don't you have any manners! At least set your bed."

"Don't worry I will do that after getting ready. "

I was murmuring and was looking for something to wear. And he stood next to me.

"What now??"

"Just a reminder that it's suppose to be our first breakfast together with our family so wear something formal. And these are not formal dresses."

"I have only got those. But let me check my bags I might find something there."

"You know what forget that. Get aside let me see. Mom must have placed something here."

I moved aside and was staying behind and took out a box and gave it to me.

"Go and wear this 'Saari'. "

"What?? I don't know how to wear this."

"Seriously?? You don't know how to wear this?? It's our culture and wow."

"I mean It's not like I never have worn one but my mom used to help me out."

"Okay, I will help you out. Go and freshen up now."

"Okay"

I took a shower and I wore the 'sari' as much as I knew I came out and he was setting on the bed and he looked at me and then for the first time I noticed a smile on his face.

"You are gonna go down in this??"

He was smiling seeing me in that dress.

"I told you I can't wear it. And stop smiling. This isn't funny."

I knew I was looking like a cartoon and then he got closer to me

"Okay. Come here. Let me help you and teach you."

I was standing in front of the dressing table and now he started wrapping it around me and for the first time in all those hours he touched me and it was ticklish in my tummy. But he was right. He had something in him. I mean I kind of felt so nervous.

But I tried to keep myself calm and normal. He was done and then he turned me around.

"Turn a little. "

"Oh, that's perfect. It looks nice on you."

"Oh really?? You really know how to compliment."

"Of course, I made this witch a princess. I should be getting all the credit."

"Thanks by the way."

"You're welcome at least I can do this for my guest."

"Yeah."

I was brushing my hair and he again made that face and took a deep breath.

"Okay?? What now?? "

"Nothing, get ready now please."

I grabbed a book and brush.

"you are so rude you know that. And what is it with all this properness?? I mean If I place this brush here. This book there what's gonna happen."

He was taking them away from me and placing them back in their position.

"I told you I don't like things here and there. Would you please stop annoying me??"

"I am not annoying you. I am just asking a simple question."

"I am not obliged to answer that. You are just a guest and behave like one. And one more thing this is my room and everything would be the way I like."

"I don't agree. It's actually my room too. So I am gonna live the way I want to. And don't you ever order me. You want everything properly then go and complain to your Dad, daddy's boy."

" Can you please stop calling me that?? "

" What Daddy's Boy??"

"It's useless to argue with you."

I loved teasing him. I got ready and he was looking at the time again and again.

"Don't say that you hate getting late??"

"Yes, of course. Get ready. stupid girl."

I then got ready but I was taking time and he got near me and held my hand.

"Let's go. That's enough."

"Leave my hand. They won't expect us to be down there like cheesy couples."

"Yeah, you are right. Let's go."

He was still holding my hand and someone opened the door after the knock. It was his Mom.

"Come on you guys aren't ready yet.. woooh someone's looking so pretty. Now, stop romancing. You had all the night come down."

When she said romancing I immediately pulled my hand away from his hand and he did the same and that was an awkward moment.

He then clears his throat.

"Let's go."

We went down and everyone was there. His brother 'Manik and his sister 'Shruti'.

My Mom was there too. They were 'awwing..' seeing us.

"You guys are looking so beautiful together. Come sit here sister-in-law."

Shruti asked me to sit next to her but I said hello to everyone in the traditional way. Everyone was blessing us and he was aside from me and still standing with a straight serious face.

Mom was looking at him with so much love and affection and at that moment I felt so guilty because everyone there was so happy seeing us together and as I could see on uncle 'Raj's face' too. It was his utmost desire and just thinking that we were betraying all of them was wrecking my heart apart.

We won't be together for so long and even that togetherness was all acting and I was so guilty because we were going to snatch their happiness soon.

But I shook my head. It would be better for all of us.

After saying hello to everyone I sat next to shruti and Dhruv was going to sit next to Manik when His mom spoke in between.

"Dhruv, why are you sitting so far away from Selena?? She is your wife, son. Sit together."

"Yeah, Mom."

He frowned and dragged the chair next to me and sat there. He started having breakfast and I was loving all the dishes.

Actually, it's a tradition in our families that the next morning after marriage, the bride's Mom or any of her family members make the breakfast and bring it to the groom's family.

Although, I didn't like it at all Mom was so excited about that so I didn't say no.
