"That is true, but you should watch your word," Amanda quipped. "You know he hates that name,"
She knew her son could be stubborn if he wants, but she prays every day that he would not risk his life, and that of his pack all because what happened.
"I don't care. We have to get him out of the pack as soon as possible," Jenna said.
"You do not have to worry about that. I already have a way of getting him out of here," someone interrupt.
They both turn to see Connor leaning against the doorway. He had this serious expression on his face.
"What is it?" Jenna was quick to ask.
Connor smirked, turn around, and walked into Coleen's office.

"What happened to her?" Sophie asked, as she cradled Avery's head on her thigh.
"She must have fainted because of exhaustion," Rhoda said.
"You think so?" Sophie crinkles her eyebrow.
"Well, except for the wound on her shoulder, they are no other visible wounds," Rhoda said.
She moved around the bed to get her notepad.
"And I don't think a shoulder wound would have made her fall unconscious, except if she's poisoned, which wasn't the case," Rhoda explained.
"How sure are you?" Sophie frowned.
"There are no traces of poison in her system, so she is clear," Rhoda picks up her box.
"I beg to take my leave. Let her rest for a while and once she wakes up, make sure she has enough food in her system." She bowed her head in respect.
"Thank you for your time, Rhoda. I will let you know once she wakes up," Sophie said.
"Okay then."
Rhoda bowed again before walking out of the room. Once she was out, Sophie turns to look at Avery.
Her heart clench just seeing her one and only best friend lying on her thigh unmoving.
"Just wake up already Ave?" She muttered.
Seeing her like this broke her heart, she places her hand on Avery's forehead, and massage her temple ever so gently.
"I need you to wake up soon... please wake up for me," her voice shook as she speaks.
"She will wake up soon, so you don't have to worry yourself so much," Roland said.
He moved to where his mate was sitting on the bed, still cradling Avery's head.
"How could I not worry? She must have tried to fight off the wolf. That is why she is lying here unconscious," Sophie whine.
"She has always been like that and you know it, putting everyone's safety before hers," Simon said.
He was leaning against the door before deciding to come in fully.
"You are her brother. What could have made her pass out that way?" Sophie inquired.
Simon shrugs his shoulder, saying nothing for a while.
"I really can't say. Avery has always been secretive since she was little," Simon shrug again.
"What does that mean?" Sophie stared up at him.
"She told no one what was happening until my father discovers." Roland furrowed his brows.
"How did he even know in the first place?" she asked.
"No one knows, or should I say no one bother to ask him. Everyone was more concern about Avery's health," Roland muttered.
"If Alpha Kyle had not found out on time, why do you think would have happened to her?" Sophie whispered.
"I don't even want to think about it," Simon mumbled.
They all went silent, each one keeping to their thoughts.
"She is definitely a strong and brave woman," Sophie fixed her gaze on her.
"She is," Roland whispered, his eyes also fixed on her.
Sophie didn't miss the affection in his voice.
"Do you still love her?" She asked.
The question took Roland back; he looks up and stares at Sophie.
"What do you mean?" His eyes were wide open.
"She told me already, I know the two of you once dated," Sophie smirk.
Roland stayed silent for some time before speaking up.
"We did," he nods his head. "I actually thought she was...."
"... your mate, Avery, told me the same thing," Sophie cut in.
"Do you still love her?" She asked again.
"You want my honest answer?" Roland asked.
Simon was about to cut in when he notices Sophie's discomfort.
"Yes," Sophie was quick to respond.
"I still love her," he whispered.
Simon was expecting Sophie to get away from Avery, but she did exactly the opposite of that.
She pulls Avery closer to her and cradles her the more.
"Are you not surprised?" Simon narrowed his eyes at her.
"No," came her Curt reply.
The two men kept quiet, watching her with curious eyes.
"I already know your answer. I just want to hear it from you," Sophie confirmed their suspicion.
"I know you are expecting me to be jealous or angry. I have been with Avery enough to know she wants my happiness," Sophie said.
"Even if it means giving up the man she loves, she will."
"I don't think she has any feeling for me anymore," Roland muttered, his head drooping low.
"I am sure she does. She still talks about you so much that I always have to plug in something in my ears to block out her speech,"
Sophie rolled her eyes when she remembered a certain time when Avery was talking about Roland.
"You love exaggerating matters. I am sure it is not that bad," Roland teased.
"Her endless talk about you was the reason I had attended your birthday," Sophie smiled.
"She speaks so highly of you, and it made me want to see you in person," Sophie spoke so fast. "I am sure she still loves you."
"She might still have residual feelings for Ro, but I'm sure she doesn't love him that much," Simon chipped in.
"If you are trying to make me feel better, I say it unnecessary because I know even if she feels a thing for you, she won't act on it, so I am not jealous," she frowned at them.
Roland dips his hands into his pockets, while Simon just shrugs it off.
"You are both lucky to have each other as friends," Roland mumbled.
Sophie was about to say something when they heard the shuffling of feet outside the door.
Roland and Simon look at each other with questioning eyes.
There was silence immediately, as if there wasn't anyone outside the door, just as they were about to ignore it.
A loud banging filled the whole room. The sound of feet shuffling around disrupts the silence.
Roland moved toward the door while Simon hid, getting ready to attack the intruder.
He pushed open the door, but rather than an intruder, Tim ran inside, panting.
"Luna, are you alright?" he asked when he set his eyes on Sophie, who was still cradling Avery.
"What happened, Tim?" Roland asked as he came out behind the door.
Simon also came out of his hiding.
"What is happening?" Roland asked again.
"We are under attack," he breathe out.
