"You should know the rules by now. Kill them, and hang their body out to set an example for trespasser," Coleen said in his usually bitter voice.
Connor hesitated. He refused to move from his position so he could carry out his alpha's command.
"Have I not made myself clear enough, or you have something else to tell me?" Coleen growled lowly.
"There actually is something I need to tell you, alpha," Connor paused. "Some of them are children, and there is no rule on what to do to little rogues."
"How many?" He inquired.
"Five of them, sir." Connor answered.
Coleen was about to say something when a knock sounded on his office door.
Whosoever it was did not wait to be called in, before pushing the door open, causing Coleen to growl.
There was only one person who could do that in the pack, pop and that was his sister.
"Am I interrupting something?" Jenna asked, poking her head through the door.
"What do you want?" Coleen growl at her.
"Good morning to you too." Jenna sneered.
"I have no time to joke around, say whatever you have to say, and get out." He snapped.
"Can you give us a moment?" Jenna raised her eyebrow at Connor.
He turned to stare at Coleen.
"I will call you later Connor, you can excuse us," Coleen said.
Connor bowed again before striding out of the office.
"So?" Coleen frown.
Rather than answer, Jenna turns around and study his newly refurbished office.
"Is it my way of thinking, or you have some kind of obsession with gold colours?" Jenna offers him a sickly sweet smile.
"Jenna!! Coleen growl.
"How can you have the entire office painted in a different shade of gold?" She ignored him, and continue in her survey.
"Did you do that because your wolf has gold eyes, or you like the colour gold personally?" She raised her eyebrows at him.
Coleen remains silent, watching her with guarded eyes. His face was blank, not even his eye twitched.
Jenna knew he was on the brink of losing his temper, but she refused to give up.
She moved towards the opposite side of the office, staring at the rectangle shape that was erected on the wall. She trails her hand over it, her gaze fixed on it.
"You never cease to amaze me with the structures you build. It looks captivating on this painting," Jenna cooed.
"Setting up a building empire is the best thing you've ever done," she teased.
"If you have nothing useful to say, then stop chattering, and get out of my office before I have you thrown out." Coleen threatened.
Jenna sigh, she knew he wasn't bluffing. He could have her thrown out. It was why some called him ruthless.
So, she settles on one of the plush couches in his office, making sure her feet touch his million-dollar fur rug.
"When will you stop?" She asked.
"Pardon?" Coleen frown.
"We already lived in a world where some people hungered for the most power, where they hungered to have complete control over everyone," Jenna pursed her lip. "You being so ruthless is not helping matters."
"I think we are done with this conversation." Coleen said, looking away.
"Really," Jenna sneered again. "You never want to listen when this kind of conversation come up. Is it because of her?" She asked.
"I am sure I was clear when I said we are done with this topic." Coleen growl.
"You know you have to face your fear and let go of the past, huh?" Jenna asked. "Stop being a coward, get up and look for your given mate. I am sure she is out there somewhere."
Coleen stood up with so much force that the table almost fell over.
"Get out," He yelled, clenching his jaw so hard.
Jenna flinched, and scramble further into the couch. She stared at him for so long, and without as much a word. She stood up and walked out of the office.
When she got to the door, she stopped.
"Breakfast is ready," she called over her shoulder, before shutting the door.
Leaving Coleen to continue seething in anger.
His wolf rose for the first time this morning, shaking his fur out and growling a little.
They both hate being disrespected. His wolf does not take lightly to it.
Coleen tried to calm himself, but it was of no use, and he end up breaking his expensive table into two halves.

"Why did you have to stir him up? You know he hates talking about her," Amanda complained.
Jenna explained what had happened to her when she heard the commotion in his office.
"You know I love riling him up for no reasons mom, so stop pretending," Jenna scoffed.
"You could have picked another insensitive topic then," Amanda frown.
"Now he will not come down for breakfast," She glare at Jenna, who only smiled in return.
The sound of footstep dominated the entire room, causing the two women to veer around.
"Coleen," Amanda called, her eyes widened. "Are you okay?"
He grunted in response, and pull out a chair for himself before settling down.
Amanda was quick to dish out his food. She placed it in front of him and watch him dig in immediately.
Coleen could feel eyes on him, and he knew they were trying to tell him something, but they were unsure of how to say it.
He tried to ignore it, but it got him irritated instead, so he drops his spoon and push away his plate, before raising up his head.
"If you will not let me eat in peace, then I suggest you stop cooking my food," He grumbled.
"What?" Amanda frown.
"What are you hiding?" He asked, ignoring his mother's question.
"There is something I need to tell you." Jenna swallowed hard.
Coleen remains silent, picking up his spoon again, he to continue eating.
Jenna took the chance to continue talking.
"Alpha Jake of the Shadow claw pack invited you to his pack," Jenna blurted.
"For?" He asked.
"He is celebrating the birth of his second child." Jenna whispered.
His wolf retreated to the back of his mind, which was its way of letting Coleen know it does not approve of the celebration.
"Coleen." Jenna prompted.
"When did you receive this news?" He leans forward in his chair.
"Two days ago." Jenna replied.
"When is the celebration?" He asked again.
"Tomorrow." Jenna rolls her eyes at him.
"And you are just informing me," Coleen growl.
"I never have the chance to speak to you, and you are not that approachable." She muttered the last part under her breath.
Coleen shot her a glare. He opened his mouth to say something, but Amanda was quick to react.
She smacks Jenna at the back of her head.
"Ow, what was that for? Jenna cried as she rubs her head to ease away the sting.
"That is for you to shut up." Amanda said.
Coleen stood up, and walk away from the two of them.
Jenna glared at her mother before turning to look at Coleen.
"So, should I tell Alpha Jake that it would honour you to grace his occasion?" She smiled.
"No." He said, without looking back.
"Decline the invitation."
