"Don't you ever compare me to him ever again, you understand?"
He screamed at her.
She tried to say something but found it difficult since he was choking her.
"I am nothing like him," he said, and pushed her off the wall. And in a fit of rage, he rushed out of the room.
He shifted into his wolf as soon as the door crash open. He leaped into the forest and started running, trying to burn out his anger, but it was not working.

When he got to the edge of the pack border, he slowed into a stride, his chest heaving with how fast he ran. Coleen stopped and turn back towards the pack house, and as if they have a mind of their own, all her words came rushing back.
"I am not like my father, I can never be like him," He kept reminding himself.
"You are," his wolf (Chris) scoffed.
He had shifted back as soon as he stop running and he was currently naked since he shredded his clothes when he shifted.
"I am not," he countered back.
"Keep telling yourself that, but we both know you are everything like him," Chris chipped in.
"Shut up," he snapped.
"You love deception right, you know you are more ruthless than he is, so why pretend?" Chris snapped at him.
He became angry again. He moved towards an enormous tree and punched it; it went flying meters away from where he was standing, but he still wasn't satisfied.
After destroying about five trees, he shifted back into his wolf and sprinted back home.
As soon as he got in, he met his sister pacing about. She did not see him at first, but she notices him when she heard the door clicking shut.
"I am sorry, Cole," she started towards him, but stopped when he glared angrily at her.
He walked past her as he refused to talk to her after all that nonsense she just spew from her mouth.
She can wallow in her own grief for all he cares.
He got to the drinks spot and pour himself a glass of whiskey.
"That ungrateful bitch," he thought "After everything I went through to keep her safe, this is how she repay me, huh."
"She just saying the truth," Chris interjected.
"I thought I blocked you out. How come you are still talking?" he frowned.
"Try harder then, beside you only told me to shut up. You did not block me out," he scoffed.
Coleen said nothing in response, he just continues to drink, he tried to burn away the pain swelling in his chest.
"I just hope you will not be too harsh on our mate," Chris said.
"You are supposed to be on my side. I thought we were both the same?" Coleen raised his brows.
"You don't expect me to be on your side at all times, right?" Chris sneered.
"Whatever," Coleen said, still frowning.
He just wishes the stupid mutt will shut up instead and leave him to his thought, but it seems his wolf was as stubborn as he was.
"Cole? I need you to promise me you will do nothing that will hurt our mate and that you will not reject her," he begged.
"That is impossible," Coleen said
"Cole?" his wolf prompted.
"We are done with this conversation Chris, I don't want to hear anything about it," Coleen snapped.
"Please, we need her," Chris implores.
"No!! She will only make us weak or, better still, she will try to manipulate us," he said.
"She won't," Chris pleaded.
"I just told you to end the discussion, so shut your mouth already," he growled, causing his wolf to retreat into the back of his mind.

"Alpha, you called for me," Connor said as he walked into Coleen's office.
Coleen's call had woken him up this morning.
"Did they confess?" Coleen asked.
"No, they insist they are innocent," Connor said.
"They sealed their fate then," he muttered.
"What should I do with them?" Connor tilts his head lower.
"You know what you have to do, Conner, do I have to remind you?" he growls at him.
"Sorry Alpha," Conner mumbled. He turned around and walked out of the office.
Coleen massages his temple.
He had woken up with a terrible headache after drinking so much last night.
And it did not help that his wolf was trying to frustrate him so much.
It had tempted him to look up ways he can completely shut it out even though he knew he would come up empty-handed.
He flipped through the file he was working on once again before putting it aside. He was about to pick up another file when a knock sounded on his office door.
His sister popped her head through the door. When she saw the coast was clear, she stepped in fully.
"Good morning, Coleen?" she greeted.
He grunted in reply, not looking at her.
Jenna shifted on her feet; she cleared her throat before speaking.
"I know I went past my boundary yesterday, and said things I shouldn't have said, but I am....."
"What is it you want, Jenna?" He asked coldly, still not looking up.
"It not like your indifferent attitude could throw me off anyway," she glared at him.
Coleen kept silent.
"Apologizing to you was a damn mistake, anyway. I should have known you would act cold as usual," she sneered.
Coleen remains silent still.
"I have news for you," she finally muttered.
"Well then, spit it out," he growled.
"Alpha Roland just found his mate, and he invited us to his celebration ceremony," she stated.
"I am not attending such a childish occasion," he said, and Jenna scoffed at his words.
"I am not asking for your permission, Cole; you are coming with me whether you like it. You do not have a choice," she stated as a matter of fact.
Coleen growled low and Jenna flinched.
"You don't f*cking tell me what to do," he growled.
"Why don't you want to step out of your pack for just once? Are you scared of meeting your mate?" She sneered at him.
"Get out of my office!" Coleen yelled at her.
"Alpha Roland has been our allies for years now. Don't you think he will be happy if you honour him with your presence for once?" Jenna lifts her eyebrow.
"And I told you to get out of my office," he growled again.
Jenna shifted back a little and stared at him.
His eyes have turned gold again, his jaws clenched so hard that she could see the veins there. He folded his hand into a fist.
Jenna knew he was barely holding on. Since she didn't want a repetition of what had happened earlier, she kept her mouth shut.
"Please," she muttered instead. "Just this once."
"No," he growled.
Jenna shook her head and walked out of his office, banging on the door.
