Curts been coming everyday after school now. He has literally been living here sense. He goes back and forth from his house to my house sometimes. He'll come over to wash his clothes or his bedding. Apparently they don't have a washer or a dryer at his house. My mom and dad help him out a lot. My mom also packs him lunches for school too. Kids at school still make fun of him though.
Just the today Maurice came up and sat down next to Curtis in class"looks like flea boy finally got a bath!" Curtis Looked at him with an expression of amusement on his face a smerk appeared and a small chuckle escaped his mouth "If you're so scared of my fleas then why sit down next to me?" "Listen here smart as-" "Is there something you wish to discuss with the rest of the class?" Ms. Hathers cut em off. "No, Ms. Hathers. Me and Curtis were just catching up." Maurice said. She glances at Curtis then turns her back to continue on with todays subject. After school Curtis and me wait for my dad to pick us up but this time he took longer then expected. Maurice and Graze come over to us; I just know it's to bully Curtis, "Can't you guys just leave him alone! I say. I've noticed that Benz hasn't been around lately. "What, Benz decided you guys were lame and finally ditched you guys huh?" Denis came up behind us and said. "Just board cuz no ones around to tell you what to do. So, just picking on Curtis is just something to pass the time." That sounded like Luna? I thought to myself. She was about to leave with her mom. Wen I saw her get out of the car and walk over. Graze scuffed and smiled as he rolled his eyes looking over as Luna comes from the parking lot. "Benz is in juvi, duh! Since when do you guys care about this fool?" Maurice standing by laughing "They don't care about bug boy! It's obvious. No one does! They're just sticking up for their friend. Bunny."
Third person POV
Walking towards Bunny he put an arm around her and tapped the part of her ear that flopped over as he said that. Bunny's dad pulls up just then and Maurice looking back naturally as Bunny does while he removes his arm from her shoulder. You can tell it's Bunny's father just by looking at him.
Bunny's dad POV
"Sarray send text to Tiffany! Sorry hun. I was kept at work a little longer then usual. I will be home soon; I'm picking up Bunny now." (Sarray was the computer lady in his phone. It's pernonced as saw-rah-e but you roll the Rs.) As I roll up to the school I see a boy with his arm around my daughter. I didn't like it at all. I roll the window down as I pulled up right in front of them. The boy moved his arm as soon as he saw me. "Is everything okay?" I ask looking directly at the boy who's arm was around Bunny. I noticed how everybody just looked at eachother oddly but the boy who was standing next to my daughter didn't even hesitate to respond, "Yeah, everything's great here. Right guys?!" Looking over to everyone else but nobody says anything, just glares. He looks over at another boy and nods at him and they start to walk away. Bunny just sighs as she opens the back door to the car and gets in; following behind her, Curtis. "Anyone wanna tell me what that was all about?" I ask. Nobody says anything so I slow down, pull over and stop the car. Anyone giving my daughter a hard time I wanna know about it. "Okay. So, who was that boy." Bunny looking down doesn't respond. I look over at Curtis who ain't saying nothing either. "This car ain't going no where till someone starts talking." Bunny looks up fiddling with her thumbs as her hands are on her lap. "He's just a boy from school dad!" "Well do you like him?" "No!" She shouts. "So, why was his arm over your shoulder." She just shrugs and sinks deeper into her seat. "Curtis was being bullied and Maurice was just I don't know. Making fun of me I guess for hanging out with him." I start the car and pull back onto the road headed home. "Are they always picking on you Curtis?" "Yeah." He says. "Maybe we can fix that. What do they call you?" "Bug boy." He shrugs and sinks deeper into his seat to but with his arms folded over his chest. Looking into the review mirror I look over at Bunny and Curtis sitting in their seats like that. I couldn't help but laugh to myself. We pulled up to the drive way at the far right at the end of the front yard just in front of the garage. The two pop their doors open and just head straight inside I can't guess weather or not if there mad at eachother or if they just wanted to get away from me. I walk inside and can immediately smell the food and it smells so good. "Honey!" "Hey, hun!" How's your day? Kids already ran to there's rooms." "Did they?" It was a rhetorical question. "Good." I say as I wrap my hands around waist. She smiles and leans into me a little bit while she's stirring the food in the pot. "What are you making?" "Your favorite, Beef stew." "Hmmm."
I hum in her ear. I then remember the kids so I let go then head to sit at the down on the chair behind the counter. Then proceeded to tell her about what happened when I went to pick up the kids.
