Chapter 7 Face to face with death

Daina's heartbeat tripled, her goosebumps were visible, even when it was cold outside she was sweating, it was getting difficult for her to catch her breath, her stomach twisted, her heart felt like it was sinking, and she was too scared to move, her entire body was shivering, the werewolf growled again and this time it took a step forward, Daina's was confused on what to do but her will to live remained strong, so she adapted the only defense mechanism she could think of RUN!!!

Daina immediately sprinted, and the werewolf howled and chased her, she kept running her legs out, she was losing her breath but she couldn't stop running, her trembling legs managed to jump over a branch, the werewolf was getting closer, and adrenaline rushed through her blood and her speed increase, she bumped into something and when she was about to fall but immediately she found herself suspended mid air.

"Lucian?" She questioned as his eyes stared directly into hers, his strong arms caught her from falling like she weighed a feather, it was dreamlike, and soon Daina woke up.

"What are you doing here?" Lucian asked.

"No time to explain, run!!" Daina said breaking free from his grip, she held his hand trying to drag him out of them but he didn't move, he pulled Daina.

"Hey, what happened?" Lucian asked.

"There is this crazy, wolf it's huge, it has, it has claws, claws and fangs, it's trying to kill, it's trying to kill me it's ..." She kept rapping and Lucian held her on her shoulders.

"You're having a panic attack, calm down," Lucian said making sure she was still "Now follow my breathing instructions, in and out, in and out, slowly, slowly, keep breathing" Lucian instructed and she obeyed, "It's not real, just know that's it's gonna pass, nothing will happen to you, think positive things," Lucian said and Daina obeyed, soon she was calm, breathing properly and after a while ...

"Where did you learn how to do that from?" Daina asked.

"That is irrelevant, what's it you say you saw?" Lucian asked.

"I saw a wolf, a werewolf, it was big and scary and it wanted to eat me," Daina said and Lucian scoffed.

"Are you on meth or something?" Lucian asked.

"I'm serious," Daina said.

"Okay, let's go have a look" Lucian suggested.

"Are you crazy?, Did you listen to anything I said?" Daina asked "This is literally like every horror movie and that explains a lot you are white, let's get the hell out of here" Daina insisted.

"No, let's go see this big bad wolf," Lucian said.

"I ain't going nowhere" Daina protested, Lucian just dragged her anywhere. "Let me go I'm going to scream and when everyone arrives I will say you sexually assaulted me," Daina said but it fell on deaf ears, Lucian kept dragging her and her heartbeat kept increasing, but he ignored and after some minutes they stopped walking.

"Where is it?" Lucian asked.

"I don't know, it was right here," Daina said confused.

"You definitely popped a pill," Lucian said.

"I know what I saw," Daina said.

"Yeah like when I saw a talking unicorn the other day and it told me the sun would fall out," Lucian said making fun of her "You're just hallucinating," Lucian said.

"So what's it were you doing here? Were you stalking me or what? Cause your eyes were on me back at the party," Daina asked.

"You exaggerated your worth, well if you must know I'm doing what every student does here," Lucian said, for some reason his words made her angry, he then flicked his lighter, lighting up weed, he kissed it and blew it in Daina's face, he handed her the blunt.

"No thanks, I would skip the lung disease," Daina said. "I'm out," Daina said walking.

"Yo!, girl, what's that your name again?" Lucian called out and Diana rolled her eyes "Tell the unicorn I said hi" Lucian said, he kept smoking his blunt, inhaling and exhaling, and he waited for some seconds to make sure Daina was gone.

"I can smell you Sha sha," Lucian said "Come out" he ordered and a girl half half-naked, she was only in a bra top and panties appeared from a bush, her hair was short and black, and her skin was as white as snow and she had black lip gloss on.

"Hi baby," The girl said. "Did you miss me?" The girl asked.

"Sha Sha, what are you doing here?" Lucian asked. "Aren't you expelled or something?" Lucian asked and Sha Sha took the blunt from his hand.

"Suspended but you won't be missing my face for too long, I'll be back tomorrow," Sha Sha said joining Lucian to smoke.

"Why did you attack her?" Lucian asked.

"Heard that brat was giving you a tough time so I had to ..." Sha Sha wasn't allowed to finish her sentence.

"Her name is Daina and that's none of your business Sha Sha, I don't want to see you close to Daina ever again, don't talk to her, don't even look at her twice and don't think about her, and most importantly don't touch her ever again," Lucian ordered and Sha Sha burst out laughing.

"You're kidding right?" Sha Sha said and just then Lucian held her by the neck, and pinned her to the tree his eyes turned red and he slowly choked her resulting in her dropping the blunt on the floor.

"Luc... I ... ca... can't bre... breathe," Sha Sha said with her voice fainting.

"Now repeat what I say," Lucian said and his voice echoed "I will never ..."

"I, will, will, never," Sha Sha repeated with her voice breaking.

"Talk to Daina or even lay a single finger on her," Lucian said.

"Talk, to, Daina, or, even, lay, a, single, finger, on, her" Sha Sha repeated and Lucian's eyes turned back to normal, he weakened his grip, and Sha Sha, coughed, catching her breath he then kissed her.

"Good girl," Lucian said.

"What's your deal with this girl anyway?" Sha Sha asked.

"I have got plans for her," Lucian said kissing Sha Sha then slowly and gently biting her on the lips.
