Pop music filled the hall, with students dancing to the tune, Daina and Sheila on the other hand were sipping their club soda, standing the Conner, gossiping, and making fun of the most random things.
"What kind of party is this?, No alcohol," Daina said.
"It's a school party," Sheila said. "Don't look up" Sheila said and looked up anyway and saw Lucian from upstairs staring at her.
"How did he sneak whiskey in here?" Daina asked.
"Go ahead and ask him," Sheila said giggling as Diana frowned at her joke. "Told you he owns the school, so he literally does what he wants," Sheila explained.
"Right," Diana responded, She caught the gaze of Stefan, who was in the midst of the crowd, she immediately bit her lips watching him walk in slow motion, he turned to her smiling at her and she returned it.
"Someone's got a crush" Sheila teased.
"No, I don't, I barely even know the guy" Daina denied.
"He's coming over," Sheila said.
"Oh my god, do I have anything on my face?" Daina asked.
"Nah, you good," Sheila said chuckling. "Compliment him on the party decorations, he's the host," Sheila hinted.
"Hi ladies," Stefan said.
"Hi," the girls chorused.
"You guys look stunning," Stefan complimented with a killer smile.
"When you say we I know you're talking to her," Sheila said and Stefan chuckled.
"So, Daina, right?" Stefan asked.
"Yep, Stefan right?" Daina said and he chuckled.
"Yeah, Stefan, I like the way you pronounce it," Stefan said and Daina smiled.
"I like what you did to the room, it's so creative, you're a good host," Daina said and Sheila smiled.
"It's nothing, my crew did most of the work, I want to apologize for my friend's behavior, he's a nice guy but has a bad temper sorry for the bad impression," Stefan said.
"I ain't worried about him cause I have a feeling he would be apologizing any time soon," Daina said as the two giggled "Are you sure that's all you came here to do?" She asked.
"You caught me there, I was wondering if I could convince you to join the basketball team," Stefan said.
"I don't think you can," Sheila giggled.
"That's not all, I was also wondering if you would love to join me on the dancefloor" Stefan offered.
"I really love to but Sheila is my date for the night and I can't just abandon her" Daina declined.
"On second thought, go dance" Sheila insisted "It's fine, I don't mind," she said.
"Are you sure?" Daina asked.
"Yeah, go on girl," Sheila said collecting Daina's drink.
"Alright," Daina said giving her hand to Stefan, they both went to the dance floor, and they began to shake their bodies to the tune of the song, showing off their dance moves, Stefan was a great dancer and Daina was having a good time but she could notice Lucian constantly staring at her from the balcony, their eyes meet couple of times and each time it felt like he was plotting something for her and it brought shivers to her body but she waved it off, after the intense dancing the Dj played slow music, Stefan looked into Daina's eyes, slowly puts his hands around her waist and just then her phone rang.
Damn, Diana said to herself, she checked it and it was Tristian calling.
"I'm sorry but I have to take this, it's my cousin," Diana explained.
"It's alright," Stefan said disappointed as he freed his hands from Diana's waist.
"You're a great dancer and I had such a good time," Diana said as she ran out of the room, she called Tristian back.
"What's up?" Tristan asked.
"I'm good" Diana responded "You miss me already?" She asked.
"Kind of," Tristian said, "so what's good with you?"
"Tris, you were right, I feel like a moron right now," Diana said.
"Wait, what happened?" Tristian asked feeling concerned.
"Alex was cheating on me with Mariah, sent me a picture of them kissing to spite me," Daina revealed.
"Come on now, I was beginning to like that guy, don't worry cos I will teach them a lesson," Tristian said.
"Nah, don't do anything stupid, I don't need them," Daina said. "Go ahead I know you want to say it," She said.
"Say what?" Tristian asked.
"I told you so, I'm sure you want to rub it all over my face," Daina said.
"No, I just hope you're okay, 'cause I would have fallen for that as well I was beginning to like the guy," Tristian said "Does it hurt?" He asked.
"Yeah but I will be alright," Daina said. "I don't really wanna talk about it, but there's something I wanna talk about where is my present?" Daina asked.
"Check your backpack," Tristian said.
"I'm not in the dorm right now, you're gonna have to tell me what it is," Daina said.
"Okay, it's a ticket for a play, actually two tickets, I think it's a Shakespeare play, I know how much you like things like that," Tristan said.
"That's sweet Tris," Daina said.
"I don't know why you don't like boy bands like a normal teen girl," Tristan said.
"Alright, I take it back you're the worst," Diana said and the Cousins giggled.
"Good night weirdo," Tristan said.
"Good night Tris," Daina said ending the call, wait what the hell? Daina said to herself "How did I get here?" She asked herself as she found herself in the middle of the woods, appears while she was on the phone call she walked in without giving much thought to it, the night seemed quiet and peaceful only thing that could be heard was the distant echo of party music, the breeze slow caressed Daina's hair and she couldn't help but appreciate the aesthetic value of the woods, this is what she longed for peace ... suddenly she heard a howl.
"Okay Daina let's get the hell out of here," Daina said out loud as she walked she almost slipped but held onto a tree, she turned around to see her dress stuck, it wrapped around a small branch, she struggled but eventually got it out, she raised her head and her eyes meet with another pair of eyes, except this eye wasn't human, the creature was patiently waiting to launch its attack in a safe distance, It growled and came closer to the light exposing its deadly fangs, it was big, its claws were long and sharp, it had a wolf and a human-like figure, it was a werewolf.
"What the ..."
