Asher halted in his steps, as Helena had already rushed forward to block his path.

Looking at the handsome man before her, Helena felt a wave of shyness, a crimson tint creeping onto her face.

If Alex could be described as gentle as Prince Charming, then Asher was alarmingly striking, just a single glance was enough to ensnare one's heart.

Helena thought that after taking Alex away from her, she had Valerie completely under her heel, not knowing where Valerie found such a fine man again!

But no matter how attractive he was, his background and family wealth couldn't compare to Alex's!

Perhaps, as Felix said, he was using his good looks to snare Valerie, only interested in Valerie because she was from the Brooks family!

Thinking of this, she felt a sudden surge of confidence, standing tall again!

"You only married Valerie for her money, but let me tell you, Valerie is just a country bumpkin raised in the countryside, she has nothing. If you want money, I can help you!"

Asher wore a nonchalant expression, a smirk curving his lips. His hands tucked in his pockets, an air of languid charm emanating from him, "Oh? Really? And how would you help me?"

Seeing him join the conversation, Helena was overjoyed.

As expected, no matter his good looks, he couldn't resist the lure of money.

Facing such an extraordinarily handsome man, who wouldn't want to claim him?

But now that she was about to be engaged to Alex, she couldn't be too conspicuous.

If that's the case, then some other woman was about to get lucky.

She smiled and handed him many business cards. "Our Brooks family, after all, has some influence in Chelsea. These women, whether it's their assets or appearances, are better than Valerie. If you're interested in any of them, feel free to contact me anytime."

Asher glanced at the business card that was forcefully handed over to him, suppressing the disgust in his eyes. "Well... Thank you," he said.

After he spoke, Asher intended to leave, but Helena quickly pulled out her phone. "How about we add each other on WhatsApp? It would make it easier to contact each other."

Asher looked down at her and said, "Miss Helena, I believe your engagement is coming up soon, right? You seem to be in such a rush to get in contact with me. Does your fiancé know about this?"

Helena choked up, her face instantly turning the color of a pig liver, and she couldn't utter a word!

After a moment, she finally forced out the words, "Don't take my kindness for granted. If it weren't for your decent looks, who would even bother to introduce you around? You might as well hold onto that bumpkin, Valerie, and don't let go!"

"Thank you, but no need," Asher didn't even glance at her, he directly bypassed her and left in big strides.

Helena watched Asher's departing figure unwillingly, she was filled with anger!

From the first moment she saw Asher, she was attracted to him. Not only because of his good look, but also the noble aura he exuded!

Who would have thought that he would be so ungrateful?

After leaving the Brooks house, Asher drove straight home. On his way, he suddenly received a call from Mrs. Lawson. "Asher, why did you suddenly go to Chelsea? Did you have another argument with your father?"

Hearing Mrs. Lawson's gentle concern, Asher's gaze dropped. "No, I just came here for a business trip and took the opportunity to look at our company's operations here."

How could the old lady not know his thoughts?

He has been in a broken family since he was a child. His mother has been abroad for many years, his father is always busy with work, and when he was around seven or eight, he married another woman and brought home a four-year-old sister.

Since then, the father and son grew distant, and they would have arguments over little things.

Now that she was getting older, and her health was unstable, the person she was most worried about was him.

"Asher, you're not young anymore. It's about time you consider your lifelong affair. Having someone who understands you by your side is wonderful."

Mrs. Lawson sighed. Given her condition, she didn't know how long she could last.

Once she's gone, there will be no one by his side. She was afraid he would be lonely.

Hearing the gentle voice of Mrs. Lawson, Asher's demeanor became extraordinarily soft, "Grandma, please don't worry. I've met a girl here who is very kind, and we are now together."

"Really?" The moment Mrs. Lawson heard this, she became instantly excited. This was the first time a woman had appeared by the side of her beloved grandson in twenty-six years!

Asher could imagine how thrilled Mrs. Lawson on the other end of the phone was. She was probably over the moon with joy.

"It's true. I like her," Asher's voice was calm yet firm.

"As long as you're happy, that's all that matters," Mrs. Lawson coughed a few times, "In fact, I'll be coming to Chelsea in three days. You bring the girl along then so I can meet my granddaughter-in-law."

Hearing the Mrs. Lawson's cough, Asher frowned, "Grandma, your health isn't great. Maybe you shouldn't stress yourself. Once I sort things out here, I'll bring her over to see you."

"Don't worry, it's all right. I'll have your father take me to the airport. I can't wait to meet my granddaughter-in-law," Mrs. Lawson's joy couldn't be concealed.

Knowing he couldn't dissuade her, Asher didn't say much more, "Alright then. Just give me a call when you're here, and I'll pick you up."

After hanging up the phone, Asher thought about the first time he met Valerie. She had been quite drunk at the time, with a dazed look on her face, but her eyes were always sparkling bright.

It was probably those pure eyes that prevented him from rejecting her at that time.

The next day.

Valerie was pushed by Felix to get up early in the morning and dress up, taking the gifts to apologize to Leo.

Upon arriving at Leo's house, however, they were informed that Leo was not at home. Only after Felix stuffed a few hundred dollar bills into Dan's pocket did they learn that Leo had gone to Blue Dream Bay last night and had arranged to meet someone for lunch at the Crystal Wine Hotel.

Blue Dream Bay is the biggest nightclub in Chelsea.

Presumably, Leo was out all night, Felix could guess what he was up to.

However, Felix was not interested in such things. He immediately headed to the Crystal Wine Hotel with Valerie.

On the way, Felix warned Valerie, "When you see Leo, keep quiet and behave. Stop causing trouble for me. Once this matter is settled, your grandfather's medical expenses will be covered. Did you hear me?"

Valerie stood by, clenching her fists, but said nothing.

They arrived early at the hotel and only saw Leo in the company of a group of people, smiling brightly as they crowded around a person.

Felix and Valerie immediately approached Leo, "Mr. Leo, what a coincidence?"

Leo's smile faded slightly when he saw Felix. However, due to the presence of guests, he just asked indifferently, "What do you want from me?"

Felix quickly nudged Valerie towards Leo and bent over in a flattering smile, "We've got nothing special, only that our Valerie has realized her mistake from yesterday. She specifically came to apologize to Mr. Leo."

Leo coldly snorted, his eyes fell on elaborately dressed Valerie, and his expression softened considerably.

"Guests of Mr. Leo?" Park, standing next to Leo, suddenly spoke up, "In that case, why don't we all have lunch together? Today we have a lot of people."

Valerie followed his voice, she vaguely felt she had seen this man before.

Suddenly, her eyes widened. Park. wasn't he the one who was sitting next to Asher in the bar that night?
