Valerie looked up at Helena with icy sharpness radiating from her bright eyes. "You better keep an eye on your husband, make sure he is not wandering around to other women's rooms!"

"Yo. You." Helena's face turned crimson in her rage, but she couldn't retort.

Alex pulled her close, gently soothing her, "Helena, I just came to clear up with Valerie that we're getting married soon, and it won't concern her. She shouldn't keep everything vague and complicated."

"You're pregnant. Take care of your body."

Alex's ability to spout blatant lies was truly extraordinary.

She didn't feel like watching their play, "Bang!" She closed the door immediately.

Felix didn't expect the usually compliant Valerie to retort back, and he was caught off guard by this reaction.

When he came to his senses, he stood up abruptly, lifted his hand to hit her, and shouted angrily, "I'm your father! Do you have no respect now? How dare you speak to me like this?"

Valerie laughed coldly and walked up to Felix. "Dare to hit me? Aren't you afraid Mr. Leo will reprimand you? Then the investment you're so eager to get will be gone."

Felix was so infuriated by her that he was trembling all over. In the end, he could only lower his arm and glare at her with rage. However, he did not dare do anything to her because she was his only hope for the Brooks family!

"Since you know Mr. Leo is interested in you, you better behave yourself and stop causing trouble!"

Valerie didn't feel like dealing with him and went directly upstairs to her room.

As for marrying Leo, that would never happen!

In the evening, she received a message from Asher, confirming that they would dine at five o'clock in the afternoon.

The following afternoon, Asher came to pick her up.

To avoid unnecessary trouble, she made arrangements with Asher to meet him two streets away from the Brooks family and get into the car there.

Seeing her bring health products when she arrived, Asher said, "You don't need to spend your money, I've already prepared a gift for you."

Valerie coughed lightly. "This is for you."
