"Oh my! What are you doing?! Why did you slam my package?!" screeched Abby.
Beatrice was silent. She was clearly shocked by how hysterical Abby was. Abby went straight to the package, her hands hastily undoing the duct tape on the box.
"What's wrong?" Leon furrowed his brows as he descended the stairs to get to Abby as well.
"She threw my package. Damn, you have no idea how much I spent on this package! What if it's broken?" Abby looked nervous and anxious as she opened the package.
Abby opened the box and took out the contents. She took out some items that were also wrapped in plastic inside. Then, Abby picked up another box. She opened it quickly, finding a shoe whose accessories were now in disarray.
Abby's eyes glazed over. She looked at Beatrice angrily as she took out the shoe. The shoes were intact, but the accessories were a mess, some broken.
"Oh, my goodness... You're too much, Beatrice! I spent 1,500 dollars on these!" Abby screeched, she certainly couldn't help herself.
"Shit! How did I know about that? And what kind of crazy person buys weird 1,500 dollar shoes like that anyway!" Beatrice looked at Abby, she was trying to cover up her guilt.
"It's not just about the money! It's not mine! It's someone else's order! We've been waiting for it for half a year!" Abby shouted, she was yelling at her very loudly.
"Never mind, I'll make up for any damage," Leon said as he sighed to calm Abby down, his hand reaching out to touch Abby's shoulder.
"No way, Leon! The bouncer has booked the studio, has given his time, and so on! We can't let him down."
Abby whimpered softly, she was certainly saddened by Beatrice's mistake just now.
Beatrice now understood one thing. The items in the box were Abby's business. Beatrice couldn't say anything when Abby also saw the other broken trinkets, even though they had been given some security, they should have been safe.
"How can you throw people's packages around?" Abby grumbled.
Abby saw that the plastic wrap was torn, she quickly took out the outfit that was a costume. She found a tear caused by a broken accessory. That made Abby sigh in disappointment.
"Leon..." Abby looked at Leon, she was really going to cry.
"I'll replace everything. Is 1,500 dollars a lot of money? I can pay for everything. How much do I have to spend? You're just being dramatic and overacting!" Beatrice snorted sarcastically.
"Overreacting?!" Abby immediately got up and looked at her angrily.
Leon took a deep breath and looked at the damaged item.
"Maybe for you 1,500 dollars isn't a problem! But the time it took to get all this is what's valuable. I told you, we waited 6 months for everything to be perfect and you ruined everything!" Abby snapped.
"I said I'll pay for everything! Stop overreacting like this!" retorted Beatrice, her voice not to be outdone by Abby, she raised her voice even higher.
"Stop it!" snapped Leon, his heavy voice breaking the atmosphere.
Leon sighed and looked at Abby. Abby seemed to be crying because of this. She wiped away her tears, which made Leon rub his face roughly.
"Calm down, Abby! You need to calm down and not overreact-"
"Do you think I'm overreacting too?" Abby held back her tears while looking at Leon.
"Isn't it obvious? You're so dramatic. All my things were burnt down, there was no one to blame, and I accepted my situation by thinking positively," Beatrice said.
"She was right. Beatrice is able to contain her emotions, she is able to control herself. Don't act like a child, Abby! Beatrice just went through a tough thing and all you're doing is cornering her like this?" Leon looked at Abby with disappointment.
Once Abby's eyes met Leon's, Abby could only see that Leon was currently judging her about her feelings. She no longer found the sense of security and comfort that Leon's gaze usually offered.
There was nothing Abby could say for the time being, she just stayed silent while picking up her things, putting them into the big box.
"Abby..." Leon called more softly, he clearly felt guilty when Abby immediately fell silent.
"Leon, I have a question to ask you." Abby stopped her movement.
"Yes?" For some reason Leon felt a bad vibe from the way Abby spoke.
"You're going to marry Beatrice, really? And you're going to let her stay here?"
"Abby, we talked about this-"
"Divorce me!" Abby then glanced at Leon with a sharp look.
"What?! Seriously! Abby, you're angry, you're unstable right now. You'll regret your words later after you realize," Leon said.
Leon looked at Abby more seriously. He obviously couldn't let Abby keep talking about divorce, asking him for a divorce. Divorcing Abby was something he had never imagined.
"Then throw her out!" Abby stared at Leon, her gaze full of demands.
Beatrice chuckled in disbelief at what Abby had said to Leon. However, she waited for the rest, for Leon's next reaction.
"I'm not divorcing you, that's obvious. And you know, I would marry Beatrice just for the sake of my family," Leon said.
No matter what Leon said, for Beatrice it was still the same thing. Leon still wanted her.
"I'm not willing to live with her." Abby then picked up the box, carrying it to the door.
Leon snorted. He noticed what Abby was actually doing now. Abby put the box outside, then picked up her bag from the table, coincidentally Abby had actually been outside two hours ago and she hadn't put her bag in the room.
"Where do you think you're going?" Leon asked while looking at Abby.
"I'm going to solve my own problems," Abby said as she took her car keys.
Leon exhaled deeply as he walked out to follow Abby. He watched as Abby carried the big box to the trunk of her car.
"Do you need help?"
Unfortunately, Abby did not answer Leon and immediately entered her car, leaving the house just like that. Leon could only rub his face.
"Where is she going? She seems to hate me more and more." Beatrice came out of the house as well, approaching Leon.
"Either to the store or to meet with her client," Leon replied.
"By the way, I'll pay her back soon. Ask Abby the total loss she incurred," Beatrice said.
"I'll pay for it, don't worry about it!" Leon replied.
***
Leon snorted, he tried to contact Abby's cell phone, but Abby kept rejecting his calls and kept avoiding him.
"Shit, where is she? It's late," Leon cursed, he was clearly on edge now.
"You can't reach her?" asked Beatrice.
"She's avoiding me. Damn, I forgot it would always be like this." Leon closed his eyes, he was clearly frustrated now.
