Chapter 8 What's next

After we got the divorce settled in court I decided to take the car back to the house as Jace left with Elena whom he called to come pick him up after. It broke my heart but we were no married and I was a free woman. I made it home and kicked off my shoes seconds of walking in the door.

I closed the door behind me and went to the bedroom. My phone ranged from a video call three way with Karina and Isa. I joined the called with a happy smile on my face but sadness in my eyes.

"Sooo what happened?" Karina asked so anxiously. I took a deep breath before blurting out exactly what happened from last night up until now.

"Well we had a talk last night and I told him I wanted a divorce.. This morning we went to the court house and were officially divorced and as you can image he's off with Elena somewhere but it's no longer my business! Though he needs to come get his stuff and move it into her house". I said with a relaxed face. It felt like I just got a heavy weight lifted off my chest causing me to feel so much joy within the very moment.

"About time!" Isa screamed with happiness. I chuckled at her reaction. I never realized how much my friends truly hated Jace but now they didn't have to worry about him anymore.

"I say we go out tonight and celebrate this news!!" Karina pitched in with the same exact amount of happiness that isa has.

I thought for a second then nodded. "Of course! Let's do it". I replied feeling so geeked. "I'll come by at 8pm to pick you up!". Karina said. I just nodded as a response and left the group chat call. I checked the time it was still early in the day so I decided to just waste time cleaning and packing up all of Jace's things. No need to keep them around just to take up space.

I put on some music and cleaned the house; after I got finish cleaning I begin packing up Jace's things. I was so distracted and not keeping up with time to realize it was almost dark out. I've been cleaning from morning to nearly night! I grabbed my phone and seen a message from Karina saying she was on the way. "Oh gosh!" I said as I threw my phone down onto the bed and ran into the bathroom. I took off my clothes and turned on the water, I put my hand underneath to feel the temperature than got in when it was adjusted to the right temperature.

I let the water hit my body for a while, letting my skin soak it in. I begin putting soap on my towel and begin washing my body. I rinsed off and begin washing my body for the second time. After I rinsed off once more I turned off the water and got out the shower. I dried my body off and returned to my bedroom.

I picked it out an outfit and quickly threw it on. I went to the mirror and begin fixing up my hair making it look as beautiful as ever. I grabbed my lotion and put it on followed by my perfume. I heard a knock on the door along with it being opened. "Nola! Are you ready to go?". Isa voice yelled inside.

"Yes!" I replied.

I grabbed my phone and small hand bag while walking out showing Isa my outfit. She smiled and clapped as I did a spin.

"Omg you look so beautiful!! Let's go show karina! She's still in the car waiting for us". Isa said.

I nodded and let isa out the house first than followed after her while closing and locking my door.
