"Hello Mr. Park. I am Hannah Stevens, your new manager." I smiled at him, looking at the most famous music genius of his time, Simon Park. I extended out my hand to him to shake, but he simply looked at me with scrutinizing, cold eyes, not even glancing at my outstretched hand.

"26th manager. Let's see if you make it til tomorrow.", he said, his cold eyes now gazing back to his computer where he's probably busy creating lyrics or music for his piece.

I retrieve my hand which had awkwardly hang in the air. I had heard about his aloof nature and how he had been brutal to his ex-managers. No one lasted more than a month. That is the most time a manager had even lasted for him and the shortest was just a day. He had temper and a sharp tongue that could make even the sharpest blade seem dull.

While I, on the other hand, did not even know I was to be his manager until minutes ago when they briefed me onto this. I was scammed. Well, at least, it's what I thought. I was applying for a marketing manager position in this company, not a talent manager. But until moments ago, they said I will be solely handling the Simon Park. I had argued with the HR associate and even the HR head and they simply said that they will give me the marketing head position if I can hold out and

Mr. Park for one whole year.

This company, Park Industries and Entertainment is the most prestigious company that many marketing enthusiasts wanted to get into. It is hard to get a position in it because of the strict employment tests and interviews they conduct, but once one is inside, the salary pay and benefits are hefty that one can live a luxurious life after. But the demands of work is truly laboring and will dry your guts out, one needs to have a strong sense of either luxury filled hunger or professional work expertise to continue working in this company. This kind of employment ensures that Park Industries and Entertainment stays on top of the global line in terms of market and entertainment.

I was one of the two lucky candidates who got to the final interview for a marketing head position. I was already a marketing head in my previous company but they only swindled me and became their escape goat when things went south on their end. My loyalty to their company, to the VP who had been my lover for 5 years went down the drain when he betrayed me and tossed me to the ground for his other woman.

I don't have any clue for now as to what happened regarding the mix up of becoming Mr. Park's manager. But here I am, trying to be polite as I need this position and this job badly.

"What are you still standing there for? Do you want to get fired now?", Mr. Park's cold voice broke my historical trance and I immediately shook my head.

"My apologies Mr. Park. May I ask for a quick briefing for what you would need me to do today and moving forward?", I asked.

Silence. Mr. Park moved his eyes from his computer and gazed to me like I am the dumbest person he had met in his life.

"You wanted this job, applied for it, so you should know what it entails. Do I have to tell you everything or simply fire you for your incompetence?" He asked, voice full of irritation.

I look at him, dumbfounded by his arrogance.
