Chapter 4 Blind date I

Kian was in a conference room meeting with the managers of his company, and he was getting seriously bored. "Dismiss" he said cutting off what one of the managers was saying, they were all not surprised cause they knew their CEO's character, when he gets bored he shuts everyone up and leave the office and today was one of those times. They dismissed one by one and Kian took out his phone to called someone. "Are you ready?" He said immediately the person in the other line picked up. "Hmmm" he said again and cut the call. "Sir you have a meeting today" Simon said.

"Cancel it I have a date right now and cancel all my schedule for today, I will be very busy" he said leaving the room.

Esmeralda was still at the office when her phone rang. "Hey mom, how are you" she said immediately she picked the call. "I'm fine, how are you my dear". Emily responded. "How's dad?". Esmeralda asked. "His good, now let's get to the main reason I called, your father and I had set up a blind date for you, make sure you go" Emily said. "Mom!? We talked about this" Esmeralda yelled. "Esme, you're not getting younger, you need to get married and don't even think about marrying that useless boyfriend of yours, you need to go on this date with your father's friend son" Emily said sternly. "Richard and I already broke up, am not going on a date with anyone, that's final". Esmeralda said. "The blind date is tomorrow and it's by 7pm, I will text you the location, bye" Emily said cutting the call. Seriously, did my words fell on deaf ears Esmeralda muttered. Immediately her mom sent the location of the restaurant. "Urghhhhh" Esmeralda growled.

Kian got out of the bathroom with a white towel around his waist and met the girl he had sex with few minutes ago, she was still lying on the bed all weak from the action. "Why are still here, get the fuck out" he yelled and she jumped putting on her clothes and scurried away. He took out a stick of cigarettes, lighting it and he started smoking. His phone rang from the bedside shelf and he picked it up. "Blind date tomorrow by 7pm, I will text you the address, you better go or I will kill you and your father and then kill myself" Vivian yelled and then hang up. Kian didn't even get to drop his phone, his mother already sent him the location of the blind date. "why waste her time, he definitely won't go, getting married is like chaining a dog, he doesn't want to be restricted my the thing called marriage, he rather spend his entire life tasting all the beautiful women he could find".

Esmeralda got home, she was tired, the doctor she was working under is a real pain in the ass, Esmeralda had always thought he never liked her, she was supposed to stop being a trainee few months ago and become an actual doctor but her boss said she wasn't good enough, very annoying man. She thought, sending her on errands ment for nurses.

"You look drained" Cassie said immediately Esmeralda walked into the living room, she was watching a movie. "Yeah.. while i was working all day you were enjoying snacks and watching movies" Esmeralda said walking into the bedroom to take a hot shower and changed into a new pair of clothes. "Hope you cooked dinner, am hungry" Esmeralda said walking out of the bedroom. "The freezer" Cassie yelled, her focus still on the television. Esmeralda sighed and went to the kitchen.

In a club filled with men and women dancing to the sound of the music, some stripper were on the stage in the middle of the club dancing almost naked. In the VIP section sat Kian with girls hovering around him. "You still haven't changed huh" Gabriel said sitting across Kian. The girls left the two men to talk. "You just had to come and ruin all the fun" Kian complained. "I don't really care about that" Gabriel chuckled. Gabriel slade, also from a very rich family, he owns a lot of companies in the UK but not as much as Kian, his 27 years old and kian's best friend. "I hear your parents are planning on getting you married, how's that coming up" Gabriel asked taking a drink from the beer bottle in his hand. "Another blind date, and am not going as usual, never gonna tie myself down with marriage" Kian scoffed. "Thought as much, what if this girl is hot and curvy?" Gabriel asked "I don't care, meeting her would only means am giving into my parents, they are more pretty and curvy girls out there" Kian smirked. And they both Chuckled.

The next morning, Esmeralda was woken up by her mother's message. "Don't forget your date by 7pm", she sighed and switched off her phone and went back to sleep, today was Sunday, she wants to get all the rest she needed at the moment.

"Did you talk to Esmeralda?" Trixie asked Richard getting up from the bed. "I went to see her yesterday but she is still angry, maybe tomorrow" Richard answered. "There's no time Richard, we are running out of money, and my rent would be due soon, we need her" Trixie yelled frustrated. "Soon babe, calm down" Richard said. "I can't calm down, you need to get yourself a job too, so we would be able to Manage before we get Esmeralda on our good side again" she said and left the room. Richard ran his hands through his hair.

Esmeralda woke up at noon feeling refreshed, she loved Sundays, the only day she gets to rest from all the stress. She checked her phone and saw a million messages from Richard, asking for forgiveness, she ignored all. "Why not block him" Cassie said beside her, she was on her phone. "I wanted to but couldn't bring myself too, guess he still has a place in my heart" Esmeralda said bitterly. "Don't you take him back, I will break your arms" Cassie threatened and Esmeralda chuckled. "of course not, am not stupid" she said getting up from the bed.

Esmeralda saw a text from her mom, "hope you're getting ready for your date" it was 6 already and she even forgot about the date, "I'm not going" she replied. Her mom called. ",If you don't go, never call me your mother again" she said and hung up. Esmeralda looked at her phone in shock. "Don't stress aunt and just go, maybe you both can reach a conclusion of not seeing each other again, but if his hot, you better grab him tight" Cassie said smiling. "I don't care if his hot or not, am not sure I will get into another relationship again" Esmeralda said. "Wait what? , Did Richard turn you into a nun?, No no no, don't say such nonsense" Cassie complained. "Just shut up" Esmeralda said getting up to get ready for her date, she decided to meet the guy and tell him she's not interested.

Kian was about to leave the house for a party his friends were hosting when he his mother entered his mansion. "Mom what are you doing here?" He asked. "Hope you're all dressed to go for your date" Vivian said. " I said am not going, James is having a party and am attending" Kian said. "That's not possible, you have a date in 10mins, we are leaving now" Vivian said sternly. "Are you following me to my blind date?" Kian asked. "Am going to drop you off and watch you so you won't bail" Vivian said. Kian was feeling frustrated, what kind of a mother did he have, she was treating him like a highschool afraid to go on his first date.
