Chapter 5 Billionaire's Betrayal: A Love Lost

This morning Angel listened again to the argument between her parents from her room. The argument took place on the first floor and could be heard all the way to Angel's room. She was really fed up but could do nothing more than reprimand her parents.

"Ugh! Useless parents! I regret being born into a family like this!" Angel exclaimed bitterly. Perhaps if her parents heard her words, they would be hurt.

Since Angel didn't have any activities today, she just relaxed at home. But in an hour, Angel would leave because she already had an appointment with someone, specifically she would go to that person's house.

She covered her ears with headphones and tried to ignore the disturbing noise from earlier. Angel didn't need to worry about her parents' quarrel because she had resigned herself to the fact that they would eventually divorce. She was so used to it that she could already predict that her parents would divorce soon.

Angel's bedroom door opened, but she didn't notice because she was engrossed in the movie she was watching, not to mention her ears were covered with headphones, so she didn't hear the sound of the door opening.

"Aren't you tired of staying in your room while your parents are busy arguing?"

The person speaking was a man about the same age as Angel. He looked annoyed when he saw Angel still silent, a sign that she didn't realize his presence.

The man approached Angel and immediately tapped her shoulder.

"Ugh! What!" Angel exclaimed irritably as she took off her headphones.

"Don't you realize I'm here?" the man asked, sounding irritated. Angel, hearing him, sighed irritably again.

"What are you doing here?" she asked unfriendly.

"I just wanted to hang out here, but ended up being treated to a view of the argument on the first floor."

Angel remained silent and unresponsive to the man's words, prompting him to continue. "Why are you so comfortable here, Angel? Come on, let's get out of this noisy house."

Again, Angel remained silent, unmoved after hearing her cousin's words. Yes, the man about the same age as Angel was her cousin from her mother's side, more precisely from her mother's younger sibling.

"No! I'm lazy!" Angel replied stubbornly, causing her cousin to sigh softly.

"Well then, I'll just keep you company here."

"Whatever!" Angel replied indifferent. Because right now, what mattered most to her was her peace of mind.

"Wait, what about your goal of getting that billionaire guy, Angel?" her cousin said again, stopping Angel from putting her headphones back on.

Angel immediately glanced at the man with a displeased look. "You don't need to know, Ken! Stay out of my business!" she snapped, referring to her cousin by his name, Ken, Kenneth.

At Bella's residence, there was the woman who was now sitting in her room, feeling troubled. After the events of last night, where Bella took care of Daniel until morning, Daniel was still angry with her. Last night, Daniel's apology was uttered because he was either unconscious or under the influence of alcohol.

So in the morning, Bella immediately left Daniel's apartment after feeling that Daniel was still angry. Bella didn't try to persuade him because she felt tired and lazy to argue. As a result, Bella went home with emptiness in her heart, especially since last night Edward was also angry with her for not being able to come to see him while he was feeling unwell.

That's what weighed on Bella's mind. She was confused about how to apologize to both Edward and Daniel.

"Bella! Your friend is downstairs!"

The shout from outside the room made Bella quickly get up from the bed and leave her room because someone had an appointment with her to come over and meet her.

"Just a moment, Mom, tell him to wait," Bella replied to her mother's words as she just came out of her room while her mother was halfway down the stairs.

Bella's mother, named Yovanca, just remained silent and glanced at Bella who was about to descend the stairs. The woman then arrived first in the living room where Bella's friend was there.

"Wait a moment, Angel," Yovanca said politely before she went to the kitchen after receiving an equally polite response from the woman who was now sitting on the sofa.

"Yes, Aunt."

Not long after, Bella arrived on the first floor with a slight pant because she hurriedly descended the stairs. She just remained silent as she was catching her breath.

Seeing that, Bella's friend chuckled softly. "Relax, Bel," she said.

Bella sighed softly before she approached her friend and sat down beside her.

"I can't, Angel, I feel bad making you wait," Bella replied.

Yes, Angel was Bella's friend, or more precisely, she could be called her best friend. They had been close for years because they were friends since middle school, they became close when they were about to graduate from middle school.

Although they were friends, their fates were very different. Especially regarding their families.

"Just relax, Bella, besides, Aunt Yovanca already let me in," Angel replied with a casual smile. The woman seemed different from a few hours ago when she responded to her cousin's words. Angel's mood seemed to have changed when she was with Bella, or it could just be a mask she wore.

"By the way, do you want to talk about something? Your relationship with Daniel again?" Angel continued, changing the conversation topic by asking that.

Instantly, Bella sighed wearily. "I'm confused now, I'm having problems with Daniel and Edward, both of them are angry with me at the same time, Angel," Bella openly talked about the two men who were her boyfriend and her lover.

So as Bella's friend, Angel had been informed by Bella about her relationship with Daniel and Edward.

"I feel tired of my relationship with both of them, but I can't decide to break up with one of them, I'm still confused about my feelings, what should I do, Angel?" Bella continued to speak with a weary face because since this morning she had been thinking about her problem.

'Stupid! You're really stupid, Bella, you're also hypocritical because you can't let go of one of them,' Angel thought silently, smiling sardonically after hearing what Bella said.

"Follow your heart, Bella, you just need time to make sure of your feelings, as for your main issue, do you need help apologizing to your two lovers?" Angel replied, what the woman said was very different from the response in her heart.
